The business was a cash cow. Telstra would send tens of thousands of dollars every month, yrs after our rel’ship to the customer had faded to nothing. Most ppl would buy a phone and we’d never see them again but Telstra kept sending us 3% of the value of their monthly phone bill.

Got the corporate bs apology email from Telstra. I laugh when CEO says how serious they take things - but not serious enough to provide credit. FOS.BTW absolutely crap service in Darwin, Kununurra let alone anywhere in between. Looking forward to mobile direct to Starlink.

@strangerous10 Does Sarah Martin really think such a thing couldn’t happen if the Government owned Telstra? Bad management is bad management. Government is full of bad managers. Technology is constantly changing and such occurrences will happen again - Govt, public or private.

@Offerandextend @Wolfie__Bear @Telstra So did everything go smoothly? Did the world collapse because you couldn't call your midwife as soon as you went into labour? Or did you just need to get your main character syndrome fix?

@geerlingguy Bloody hell they were so focussed on profit they didn't bother upgrading their timeservers? Let's hear it for John Howard who decided to privatise Telstra to help cover up his Govt's. own dismal financial track record.

Insiders today with PK as host is a complete joke..war with is imminent(per PK),the government is to blame for Telstra outage, the government feels vulnerable when the minister rushed back from holidays, even before Telstra ceo..must say the 3 panellists tried hard to stay sane..

@Telstra Talk is cheap. At the very least, provide a refund for the days where you didn’t provide service.
