@Telstra How about a big fat apology to the Gold customers you utterly failed today. There is no good news here, you promised and failed to deliver and a big dose of humility is the least we deserve. Then find us some damn tickets

@strangerous10 Telstra has problems but it's not due to China. Especially in the regions and that is the reason why so many have turned to starlink. Because it works.

The media is WAY overestimating public interest in what the hell went wrong with the brief Telstra outage. Who really cares apart from tech heads? Learn from the mistake, MOVE ON. #auspol

@geerlingguy Bloody hell they were so focussed on profit they didn't bother upgrading their timeservers? Let's hear it for John Howard who decided to privatise Telstra to help cover up his Govt's. own dismal financial track record.

@strangerous10 The Optus CEO fell on her sword after their nationwide outage a couple of years ago. The Telstra head might go the same way. What were they thinking, laziness, or just penny-pinching.

  • ravirockks
    Dr Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported

'... if his Telstra landline was down, given the patchy mobile signal in his area, he or his wife or son would have to get in the car in order to call Triple Zero.

Breaking: Telstra has admitted in Estimates they were repeatedly warned since 2022 by the software manufacturer that their outage-causing software was out of date inc a reminder early 2026, & Telstra even discovered a β€œfault” with it themselves in Oct 2025, but still did nothing
