@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

@Telstra hi can I get some help please... App chat has been on hold with me for 38 mins when we were going along swimmingly

  • corymedia
Cory (@corymedia) reported from Geelong, Victoria

Didn’t realise @Telstra customer care was in such a precarious position. As for scripting of the IVR messages, doesn’t help when it says you can get answers online. It’s online’s inability to manage simple requests that requires customers to call.

  • cjnetAU
Cory’s CJNET (@cjnetAU) reported from Geelong, Victoria

@jindivik For weeks the Telstra website has been reporting problems with their logistics as well. Maybe it’s all the same system. The problem must be serious... or seriously expensive to fix

Hi @telstra - there has been almost zero mobile internet 9am-9pm for 3 days in #portarlington - can’t load or use apps or send or receive anything except text. Could you pls consider another tower down here to cope with the holidays? 🤞🙏

  • Jaseomeara

@NBN_Australia why is it so difficult to get issues rectified? I’m stuck in a loop between you and @telstra. Two years on and our nbn is still slow. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

@Telstra yeah great. I will upgrade to the 5G network for $70 a month like I am paying now otherwise FORGET IT! NOT INTERESTED IN PAYING MORE ANYWAY!

  • H_the_Cats_Fan

@Jack_Klompas @PatrickM_Gray Because the AFL want us to play at the G. We used to play all our home games at Marvel when it was Telstra Dome, and hardly any at the G. That’s the AFL’s fault, not Geelong. The AFL don’t give a **** about Geelong and the Bulldogs honestly.

@Telstra you forced me to go to the TIO when a simple phone call could have averted the need to involve the TIO. Your customer service ranks on top of the worst shit ever.

  • cjnetlink
Cory (@cjnetlink) reported from Geelong, Victoria

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

  • Steve23_G
Steve G (@Steve23_G) reported from Geelong, Victoria

hey @Telstra getting flooded with texts about service disruptions on the 17th this week. Any chance they can do it another day considering we are in 5 day lockdown, home schooling & working from home #victorialockdown

Why are you fuckwits so dim? @eddys199 Australia was NOT debt-free in 2006. The Commonwealth had NET debt after selling our gold and major assets like Telstra. Australia still had significant state debt. The trouble with you morons is you read a headline, dive into a rabbit hole that even rabbits won't go in and come out all covered in old mouldy ****. Major contributors included: →Selling public assets (privatisations), most notably the government's remaining stake in Telstra, which raised tens of billions of dollars. →Strong economic growth during the mining boom, which boosted tax revenues. →A long period without major recessions or global crises until the GFC. Pauline Hanson is looking for a house 'friend' - you should apply.

@DHughesy @aaronsmith Saying "governments waste money" is easy, but the real problem is every government since has refused to raise revenue to match spending. Howard-Costello rode a mining boom and sold Telstra; they didn't solve the structural problems.

  • TopStockAlerts1
    Top Stock Alerts (@TopStockAlerts1) reported

Citi lowered its price target for Telstra Group to A$5.25 from A$5.50, a 5% cut, following a modest reduction in its earnings forecasts. The broker maintained its Neutral rating, saying the Australian telecom operator remains on track to achieve its FY2027 targets and longer-term FY2030 objectives. Telstra announced a A$1 billion share buyback and reported a marginal increase in annual profit on Thursday. Citi expects mobile service revenue growth to accelerate to around 5% in FY2027, supported by higher average revenue per postpaid user. The broker also sees potential earnings upside from stronger cost discipline, although postpaid subscriber numbers continue to decline. Citi reduced its FY2027 post-lease EBITDA forecast by up to 1% and basic net profit estimates by up to 2%. Despite the revisions, the firm continues to view Telstra's operating outlook as broadly consistent with management's targets. $C

"Asia Pacific went from world first to regional wave in 18 months" In December 2024, One NZ’s Satellite TXT debuted as the region’s first Starlink D2D service, available at no cost to eligible customers. It spans approximately 40% of New Zealand’s total landmass, where terrestrial coverage is unavailable, as well as roughly 20 km offshore. KDDI followed in April 2025 with au Starlink Direct, Japan’s first D2D service, then added app data in August 2025, support for a limited set of bandwidth-light apps beyond texting, and the first D2D data service anywhere. Telstra launched Australia’s first satellite texting product in early June 2025. One NZ added app data, including WhatsApp voice calls, in February 2026. SoftBank and docomo launched in April 2026, making Japan the only market where three operators run live Starlink services. Globe became the latest in the sequence in June 2026 with the Philippines’ first commercial satellite-to-mobile permit from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).

@gpeurocars These 1/2 wits leave us unsafe! Telstra & Optus widespread outages triggers severe, cascading national security & public emergencies as modern infrastructure is hyper-connected, a single software defect or network drop instantly paralyzes critical systems, not just calls. 2/2 🧵

Good afternoon everyone I’ll briefly share my POV on choosing a good proxy. Here are the 3 major things you must check before using any IP: 1. ISP (Internet Service Provider)
This is the most important factor.
Think of it like our local networks — Glo, Airtel, MTN, or 9mobile.
Always pick residential consumer ISPs (e.g., AT&T, Comcast for USA; Telstra/TPG for Australia; Virgin Media, BT, Vodafone for UK) instead of datacenter providers (DigitalOcean, AWS, Choopa, etc.).
Websites easily flag datacenter IPs, but residential ones look like normal users on home Wi-Fi or mobile data. 2. Fraud Score / IP Reputation
Before binding the proxy, test it with tools like Scamalytics, IPQS, or Pixelscan. • ✅ Low Fraud Score (0–10) = Clean & safe. • ❌ High Fraud Score (30+) = Avoid. It will trigger CAPTCHAs, bot detection, or shadowbans.
Also check it’s not blacklisted on major spam databases. 3. IP Range (First 3 Octets)
Not all ranges from the same ISP perform the same. Some subnets get abused over time.
Australia examples:
❌ Avoid: 1., 101., 110.
✅ Good: 124., 121., 120. (Telstra) | 80. (TPG)
UK examples:
✅ Good: 86., 80. (Virgin Media) | 82., 78. (BT) Pick the right ISP and you’ll rarely get flagged. This was the main issue a lot of people faced with services like Outlier and Handshake. What proxy challenges are you currently facing? Drop them below

Why is nobody talking about how when 3G towers were turned off, reception with @Telstra turned to crap? 4G and 5G provide worse coverage than we had with 3G. But we pay more now. Make it make sense.
