Hey @Telstra I’ve been given the run-around about this outage in my area, Preston Vic. We’ve had no internet since Friday, it was scheduled to be resolved by 7pm tonight. This isn’t good enough. I’ve gone over my mobile data limit twice as I’ve had to do assessments for uni.

@Telstra Yes, I’ve launched a complaint with the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman about this whole debacle. You nor anyone at Telstra, have still not given me an explanation as to why there was an outage for 4 days.

@Telstra hi, I m on vacation in australia and i bought a 30$ Telstra SIM Kit . Unfortunately my German iPhone6s says “could not activate mobile data network” i activated as describe in the package , via Telstra Website and Hotel WiFi . Every Tipp is appreciated .. 😉

Well after 15 years it’s see ya @Optus & hello @Telstra I can’t believe in 2019 Optus cannot provide a 4G service in Prahran & they don’t have any plans to upgrade that black spot either. It baffles me. Oh well, a complaint to the TIO means I pay nothing to leave. #ByeFelicia

@AlanBaxter I switched from Telstra to Telechoice who use the Telstra towers because it’s cheaper and you aren’t paying for features you don’t use. Telstra have been spamming me since and I have an open complaint against them with the TIO as a result.

Damn, my internet went out completely about an hour ago and not looking likely to return soon. ISP help desk is closed at 3am and no other access to tell anyone about the problem. @telstra is not looking good right now. Even my cable TV is out.

@dsr150250 @Tim_jbo Don’t think we ever knew or cared where electricity came from &we never wasted it. We never had the multitude of electrical devices & technology to throw away or continually upgrade. Our phone lasted 40 years & still would be usable but Telstra removed the infrastructure

@_Food_Ninja @TeaMan2077 @AGL To be fair, retail providers have next to no ability to guarantee service for VOIP as a replacement to traditional PSTN services. If it's a PSTN service, it's reliant on Telstra and their techs fixing the service because the lines are rented via Telstra Wholesale.
