  • brooksieg brooksieg (@brooksieg) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@telstra showing home internet outage until Wednesday for Kew, VIC. And supposed 4G backup modem not worth two bob. Seriously, third world service, perhaps not even that good.

@Telstra could you be anymore incompetent! My poor 84yr old mum new mobile in Nov. M1, T cancelled acc in error, needed a new number a week without it. M2-DD failed, acc blocked as they'd typed wrong bank deets. M3 same issue store can't fix need to raise complaint. Can't fix 😤😡

  • dgmonty16 Dale Monteith (@dgmonty16) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Thanks Reggie its been a couple of times and it’s difficult to convey gravity of problem by messaging. More recently it related to a scam and I had to ask that I not be handed to someone else as it was in their area…meant having to retype the message. Speaking to someone better

  • Woody_Alyx Woody Alyx (@Woody_Alyx) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@bitter_britt_ Oh man ive had so many issues with optus, telstra all the way

  • Natski82 ✨ Miss Natski ✨ (@Natski82) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Jane_L_Kennedy @Telstra I should also point out that the @CommBank weren't much help either, as they never called him to say some random person was trying to take $19,000 out of his account and never bothered to refund the money for their negligence

  • dgmonty16 Dale Monteith (@dgmonty16) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@debbie_prest Try talking to any one in person at Telstra. All by messaging system and go round and round where you are referred to someone else and you have to repeat why you need help. Talk about backward step and shocking customer service

  • GlennHampson Glenn Hampson (@GlennHampson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@KenCrompton Vodafone are horrible and Telstra are way overpriced

  • ayelbee1 Ayelbee (@ayelbee1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Good Grief Gladys has a new job with Optus. Think I should move to Telstra...if only they weren't so terrible

  • EileenOrmsby Eileen Ormsby (@EileenOrmsby) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Hey, #telstra why ask to DM if all you’re going to do is tell me to message the app? Why not say it here? The app is an abyss of endless requests to repeat the steps that didn’t work the first 50 times, before fading away without a resolution

  • Stanleysmum1 Stanleysmum (Sharon) (@Stanleysmum1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra I had a complaint raised, theny called and said there was nothing they could do over the phone and Mum needed to set up an online account!! They were then getting someone to call yesterday and surprise. Nobody called. I'll send a message but not holding my breath for a resolution

  • Natski82 ✨ Miss Natski ✨ (@Natski82) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Jane_L_Kennedy @Telstra And of course he believed it, afterall, the people at telstra told him the NBN called. 6 hours they kept him on the phone and ended up costing my dad $19,000. Absolutely ridiculous and when he called telstra, they didn't give a ****. Switched to optus. Safer /3

  • qldtrials Chris Nelson (@qldtrials) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Marni_Kelly @Telstra People make all the difference Marni. Some want to help, others don’t care

  • dgmonty16 Dale Monteith (@dgmonty16) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra Thanks Reggie it happened late October and I spent quite a while trying to seek assistance by messaging system. I kept getting referred to someone else and the new messaging would start by asking what the problem was after speaking to someone r previously. I ended up resolving.

Telstra Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Runey5 Runey5 (@Runey5) reported

@Telstra it's a personal account, but doing anything about isn't worth the time fixing it as the upcoming changes will drop me from 30up all the way down to 17 up.

  • NewtonMark Mark “Bannister-Safe” Newton (@NewtonMark) reported

@phenidone @acccgovau No, it's not their role. But nor is this stupid lawsuit, which is so pointless that it gets me, a reliable Telstra critic, to take Telstra's side in an ACCC battle. Imagine that.

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported

@Telstra If you login to @NBN_Australia's system, it will say whether a service is 100/40 or 100/20. That helps you know whether the incorrect product was ordered (e.g. 50/20) or whether a Premium Speed add-on has resulted in a 100/40 product being ordered.

  • moylecroft Matthew Moyle-Croft (@moylecroft) reported

@bigjsl Same. FTTN was bad back in 2006 when Sol wanted it. Didn't Telstra crack the shits at some point and refuse to deliver more than 50/20 on FTTN?

  • phenidone William (@phenidone) reported

@NewtonMark @acccgovau If Telstra has backed itself into a corner that it must accept NBNco assurances on faith, that is at best commercial incompetence and negligence. ISPs will either need to negotiate a better deal (yes, hard with a monopolist but they could ask for ACCC help), or do validation.

  • RobbieMigliore Robbie Migliore (@RobbieMigliore) reported

Telstra messaging service. 3 days of pain to try and port a number. No one can help. Disgraceful, frustrating hideous service @Telstra

  • _TimMcMahon Tim McMahon (@_TimMcMahon) reported

@Telstra Does Telstra put in an order with nbn for a 100/40 service when a customer orders a Premium Internet Plan?

  • Dalts365 Grant Dalton #silversqueeze (@Dalts365) reported

@Telstra Yeah you can pm me no problem

  • SJPtweets SJP (@SJPtweets) reported

@librarycoolblog @NoetheMatt Tell them that Telstra in Australia has made every single public pay phone free because they believe in supporting those people who may be in trouble and need help

  • simonjob Simon Job (@simonjob) reported

@Telstra @_TimMcMahon Kunal - we have discussed privately, but be genuine. Telstra is choosing not to offer this plan; there is no issue with the technology. Telstra is choosing to downgrade its customers to 100/17 by no longer offering the 100/40 option.
