@drewciferNZ @phazzles Issue is, it’s for the elderly, so Telstra might be a better option in this instance as the 4G backup won’t leave them with no phone if an issue arises with the internet.

@Optus Yup - bought some extra data and continued to use the Optus 4g to power my household. I will be sending the bill the way of Telstra if they ever try to resolved the issue :(

@phazzles I’m going through the same with my parents. Telstra hands down as you get 4G back up so the phone will always work even if an outage happens 👌🏻 Telstra will also do phone only NBN Plans with pensioner discount.

@Telstra I did Check-out your outages page and it said ‘NO OUTGAGES’ ... that’s why I contacted you... everyone just fobs it off and blindly believes ‘the system’. Your Outage Page sucks and is often not up to date!!!

Last night's (amazing) stream took 30+ gig of mobile Data - unfortunately I don't think I can keep that up. 11 days into this Telstra outage they gave me a return time of 7pm tomorrow... Let's cross or fingers/toes/other bits.

NBN connected my service yesterday. Today, I have two modems, a wiz bang little NBN box and I CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET...and both Telstra and NBN don’t want to know about it and point the finger at each other.I have joined the NBN ***** Community!

@jindivik @MarkThommo352 @Telstra Have done that. I recently upgraded to 5G. Thinking the main problem may be that I am in a ground floor unit surrounded by taller buildings so signals drop out or weaken.Surely there is a solution.

@Telstra Thanks Jay but this is not the issue. All I need is my mobile data reinstated as per my plan which Telstra took upon themselves to change with no advice. I was promised on Thursday this would be rectified in 48 hours. Did not happen and live chat was absolutely futile. Given up!

@Iain78225333 We can see the @Telstra tower 2km away from the house and the internet was rubbish, Less than 1 Mbps. It was good 12 months ago but they’ve turned the tower down. I’ve canceled all Telstra mobile accounts and now only boost $20 pre pay. Save $400/month.

@Telstra Yes, the earliest issue I remember was Thursday evening 23/06. I was away for 6 or so hours yesterday and it worked fine. At home, I get one bar if I'm lucky.

@Telstra I've tried both. I was out of my local area yesterday and it seemed to work fine. Only whilst around the house. Hasn't been an issue pre-dating the very recent tower work at Wadalba.
