@maxblackhole It also stifles development. Once the focus is on profit, they tend to drop, or scale down, unprofitable sections of the business. Many bodies used to have active R&D sections which disappeared after privatisation. Telstra and CSL are two examples.

Blimey Bloody Hell .@Telstra guess who fixed our communication problem? Philippines 🇵🇭....a simple fix by taking out yellow cord that has something to do with @Telstra which we pay for,a thing called internet ,if only in five weeks you could work it out ! At least we can have tv

Serious question. Is there a telecommunications company in Australia whose customer service is ok? I don’t even mean good. I’ll take ok, because @telstra is the worst company over ever dealt with. Their business model is seriously broken and their customer service is awful. 1/2

@kimbakit Meanwhile I'm paying for NBN via telstra that can't deliver maximum NBN speeds in my area. They've given me a choice keep paying for nbn services ill never receive or cancel my plan and go with another service provider that won't be able to deliver the nbn to me either. 1/2

@Barge1Burges @Telstra I put up with Telstra 4G internet for years paying top dollar for a service that promised the world but couldn’t & wouldn’t deliver. Switched to Activ8me satellite NBN 12 months ago. Took 6 weeks to install but have never looked back. Aussie company too - 5 stars.
