    @MrTobyCook @TechYESCity It's rare to find a place in brissie with FTTP. They mostly reused the existing HFC network. If it was Telstra HFC you should be ok.., Optus not so much lol

    so many options these days. router not working. bypass it still no net. provider ok. finally found there is a telstra problem in the area. i am not with them but of course the lines are.... meanwhile i have the telstra stick that i have for my laptop and i can use that for now.

    @australian_mind I had a property on acres with no mortgage & I sold it without buying another. first problem it caused was for telstra, which only lets one cancel a landline if one can provide a new address. we have been sparring now for eight months while they keep billing me for servce

    So peeps: does @Telstra do customer retention like Carriers in the US? Been with them for 10 years, they are downgrading their service (or want to charge me more for what I'm already getting). I'll likely jump to where I'll get what they're offering at greatly reduced price …
