@jriewolod @SabraLane @Telstra Obviously a bit of a surprise but respectfully, your mum or her family has had 35 years to check the account. She has had 35 years to review her costs, the details of the services or hardware provided. Why is this someone’s problem? The individual has some responsibility too.

@jriewolod @Telstra A not unfamiliar story with Telstra. Handset and accessory repayments are among the worst, almost unconscionable behaviour by Telstra and others.

@jriewolod @Telstra Same thing happened to me with a ‘free’ tablet I received for being a ‘valued customer’. I didn’t want the tablet but they insisted it was free and would cost me nothing. $20 pm I paid for around 3 years and the tablet is still in the box.

@Telstra Online messaging. Been there, done that. Why does an Australian company that profits billions not have a telephone service? Every other network does. Big mistake the govt selling it off.
