@Telstra I’m pretty sure you can’t force me to pay by direct debit. Considering your ineffective customer services, including your inability to effectively train your phone reps adequately, it’s reasonable I want to have some control on payment. Just like I do with gas, power, water etc.

@Telstra Does that mean we don’t have an ongoing agreement for @telstra to supply a mobile service for a recurring fee each month? Does that mean every month the terms change? What governs the nature of our agreement for you to supply a service for a monthly fee? Is that not a contract?

My main question, @telstra, is, when the F are you going to at least pretend to have a customer service?

as I wasn't physically able to leave my apartment. The only time I've had worse service is with Telstra. Tell one of your customer service team to look up my number and call me today! And why should I have to wait 48 hours for a refund for something that was your mistake???!!!

@Telstra You start by gaping about inclusions and costs. Perfect. Completely agree. Why were you operating perfectly before without requiring one to pay beforehand without documentation. As already mentioned, open to accepting your pay-before service model. Just not automatically

Customer feedback led Telstra to bring their call centres home , in another five years they may realise their services are severely overpriced..

@fictillius @Telstra I have been a customer for nearly a decade , paid all my bills all ontime. and am not a stranger. I had an ongoing plan I was working just fine. This is all about Telstra deciding they’re “Netflix” when they re not.

Telephony is the only service where the cost has little relation to usage and value. Telstra “gave” me more data every year but my usage needs have not changed. Now I “have” 180gb/ month but have used less than 18gb/month this past year. But they insist I go to a new “plan”

@fictillius @Telstra If acma required me to identify myself, why am I receiving several calls a week from spam callers? Isn’t an Australian bank account evidence enough? All @Telstra arguments fail logic.

@Telstra You have had me as a customer for 7 years. What has changed. Because remember this is all because you decided you want me to have a new relationship with @telstra. I have M existing plan right now

@Telstra You’re not getting the issue. A year ago you “gave” me 80gb/month allocation when I dont use more than 20. Now you’re “offering” 180 when I don’t want or need that. You’re offering me 2 loaves of bread a day when I agreed to one a week as that’s more than i need. Why change?

@Telstra please confirm here the only way one can pay is beforehand & not bpay after a statement. Your staff use Netflix as a comparison but a phone & data service is completely unlike an entertainment subscription. It’s a false equivalent that is designed to deceive. #cxfail

I asked for a copy of the terms and conditions I’m being asked to agree to and am sent a web page. What king of terms can anyone legally offer when they aren’t given as a copy to the customer on agreement? Is this #legal, @Telstra

They are expensive, but they don't seem to have VoLTE support on Telstra, so might not be able to do voice calls after mid-2024. Apparently they do work on other networks.

@LJPatton @ChrisMinnsMP Telstra’s actually a great example of both good and bad privatisation. The retail and mobile arms have been great for competition, and we have better, cheaper services because of it. The mistake was privatising the natural monopoly infrastructure.

@Telstra If I have a plan upgrade order including a backordered device, is there any way to change the order to a difference device entirely that's in stock (and cheaper PM) or cancel the order? Don't really want to wait a month.
