It’s taken 53minutes for a Telstra live chat representative to tell me that the fault is with my modem.... God I hope that’s the worst of it.

I went to NT Technology Katherine because they are the local Telstra shop and need help with my phone and was told they can't help? I thought that's what Telstra stores are for to help the paying customers. I'll go back later and see the management instead of the front counter.

@bushplato Optus is just as bad - all call centres are now offshore and the stores can only sell you new devices. I have found buying the Telstra network through Aldi to be the best value.

@peters_malcolm Telstra and Optus for the last decade - "Your call is important to us, we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of calls atm" No, it's the usual volume of calls. I got Starlink so that I never have to deal with our sub par telcos ever again.
