It’s taken 53minutes for a Telstra live chat representative to tell me that the fault is with my modem.... God I hope that’s the worst of it.

@Optus Thanks Jono. I freakin LOVE your network and have never once had an issue Optus and should not have signed a new bloody contract with Telstra...lesson learned.... 😓

@dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days it’s still not lit. I’m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

@D_Coombe @Telstra They've refused the even give me a broad ETA on it. Word on the street is the My Telstra app doesn't work on it yet. It seems plausible, given its only Telstra who are refusing to push it, but I don't know for sure.

So I ported my number overnight to a new provider with unlimited data, only to discover @Optus Network Locked my @oppo phone despite my having bought it outright last year. I'm cut off! Thank goodness for free WIFI & Telstra Payphones. I thought the TIO stopped network locking?!

@NBN_Australia such a disruptive strategy to cut off cable internet services without notice and force customers to switch to NBN w daily account suspensions. The biz impact over 2 days was huge with 3-5 to go. @Telstra app bad but ph service got us over the line #nbnvictoria

@elizabeth_BBC @Nemy36 @Telstra I left Telstra too; they cancelled my phone number by accident and kept sending me bills for another year. I have never experienced such sustained institutional incompetence.
