@hipstergeddon @mektronik It is a Telstra employee number, based on the Australian Government Service number. My AGS was 39538983. Telstra changed first digit to corresponding letter and last AGS digit is a check digit: C953898

I’ve adopted a new approach with @Telstra. When they stuff up a request I will cancel or downgrade something. After 4 chat sessions I was still getting stuffed around with a plan change. I cancelled the service. That’s $100p/mth not going to @andy_penn. Not paying for bad service

@Telstra ….I was shocked. Since I don’t think this is fair, I’d like Telstra to cancel that charge and adjust your messaging for people travelling to Guernsey so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I’m now back in the UK until Thursday when I’ll return to Australia.
