    @woopdedoo652 @Telstra can you get someone who isn’t a robot to help the Unicorn out. Unicorn had a hailstorm destroy her fixed wireless. I don’t think doing a modem reboot is going to fix it ey.

    @craigspeculator @Foxtel Telstra aren’t much better. My mum had a mobile plan with them and hardly used. Something they could see from the monthly bills. In care because of dementia they insisted she would have to ring to cancel the plan.

    @FinancialReview This is classic regulatory free riding. Why would anyone pay Telstra prices or why would Telstra keep investing billions in regional coverage if customers can buy the cheapest network then use Telstra whenever theirs fails? Emergency roaming makes sense. Forcing the company that built the better network to subsidise competitors who didn’t is how you eventually end up with nobody investing in the better network.

    @immyonboard @Telstra If you are talking about NBN, there are many choices of ISPs that are superior to Telstra. If you need mobile, anyone on the Vodafone network is probably the best (seems to be the most reliable of the 3 networks)

    Seems perfectly legit, reward people for failures …. 🙄 Telstra has paid its chief executive, Vicki Brady, $6.8m for the year ending in June, after docking 20% of her bonus in response to the network’s nationwide outage in July. The company reported financial results on Thursday. Its board met on Monday and decided to cut Brady’s bonus by $607,000 – but she still took home a $700,000 pay rise as she was awarded a total of $6.1m the year before.

    Still sans @NBN_Australia They came out Monday, identified the issue & refused to fix it. Told them that I was over them & that I'll be signing up with @Starlink Looking forward to receiving my kit from Starlink soon. Hotspotting with my @Telstra mobile is 1/2 speed of a snail. Painful much. Going crazy. Don't need this stress.

The board cut her bonus by 20% ($607,000) over the July outage that disrupted almost half of all calls and data sessions across the network. • Over 30,000 customers claimed compensation; nearly $1m paid out to date • Board cut bonuses for other senior executives by 10–20%, reducing combined pay by $1.3m • Net profit rose to $2.4bn; mobile revenue up $300m to $11.3bn • Workforce fell by 1,219 to 29,334; share price dropped from $5 to $4.875
