Telstra Issues Reports Near Newham, State of Victoria

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Newham and nearby locations:

  • AnimusSpirits Animus Distillery (@AnimusSpirits) reported from Kyneton, State of Victoria

@Telstra Understood. However, as @telstra disconnected our service instead of our vacating neighbours, I would hope they could assist in rectifying the issue and reconnecting us.

  • bradhooperarch Brad Hooper (@bradhooperarch) reported from Woodend, State of Victoria

@Telstra Thanks Tanasha, advised that I pay next bill incl the $15 fine & then seek a reimbursement. That is not acceptable & I refuse to waste further time over a @telstra error. The fine should not be charged in the first place - I alerted #Telstra to the issue!

  • AnimusSpirits Animus Distillery (@AnimusSpirits) reported from Kyneton, State of Victoria

@Telstra We have tried. @Telstra referred us to our provider, TPG, who in turn have referred us to the NBN. It’s been 5 days as we still have no service.

  • bradhooperarch Brad Hooper (@bradhooperarch) reported from Woodend, State of Victoria

@djshaneday @Telstra Ordinarily no but knew wouldn’t be able 2 pay next bill on date, @telstra advise no ‘top-ups’ b4 them issuing bill so DD next option. Dutifully signed up, due date came, no debit at midnight, rang, told their fault, I had paid up, but ‘fined’ $15. Never, ever DD w @telstra peeps!

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Patriocon 💧Patricia O’C (@Patriocon) reported

@RonniSalt @simonahac @Telstra Optus sorted our problems, gave us a new modem and monitored our service for a week to make sure it was all working ok. Never had service like this before

  • clifftopsentry Alby (@clifftopsentry) reported

@RonniSalt @simonahac @Telstra it is indeed deliberately the opposite of “customer service”. They get bonuses for every customer who hangs up, extra if they can stretch the process for longer than one hour. They exceed the banks in sheer bastardry

  • Gergyl Gerg (@Gergyl) reported

@simonahac @Telstra Now try that in Lockhart River, a remote town of about 1000 not-exactly-advantaged people, kids trying to learn, people trying to do business. Internet there consists of flakey individual satellite, or 3G mobile with back-haul so slow it might as well be dial-up. Yes dial-up.

  • Frosty_Oz Frosty Oz (@Frosty_Oz) reported

    @GlenneDrover @simonahac @Telstra That’s the way. I use CatchConnect 150Gb 12 month SIM for $150. On Optus network.

  • simonahac 💧simon holmes à court 💉 (@simonahac) reported

i should say that @telstra's SM team messaged me and had this sorted out very satisfactorily within the hour. it would have been cheaper for them, and a better experience for me, if their app had a "buy data pack" or "upgrade" buttons — or if phone support was better trained.

  • sortius sortius (@sortius) reported

@simonahac @Telstra This is why I took Turnbull's advice and moved to a FTTP suburb... and don't get my internet through Telstra. My daughter's problems come from the ****** FTTN & HFC across the valley that causes her teacher to drop out constantly

  • Mark_Young05 Mark Young (@Mark_Young05) reported

@simonahac @Telstra That's why I switched over to Aussie Broadband as soon as the NBN became available a few years back. Never looked back.

  • kim_macca Kim (@kim_macca) reported

@craig_troth None whatsoever... they preach 1 thing & practice another. I formally complained 5 times & on 2 separate occasions to Michael Ackland (Telstra Consumer Executive) no response to my complaint from the boss. @Telstra just doesn't care, but they are happy to take your money!

  • KelStewart84 KRS (@KelStewart84) reported

I’m now on day 3 of trying to get @Telstra to take my money in exchange for a service and they’re still unable to do so. I’ve spent maybe a grand total of 8 hours repeating myself to get something relatively simple done. It’s actually amazing how bad this experience has been.

  • youngchicka_23 Patrick (@youngchicka_23) reported from Moruya, State of New South Wales

@Telstra your customer service cannot be this bad by accident? Surely it’s intentional and part of some clever practical joke that’s going to impress everyone so much they forget about how awful you are to deal with 💩💩
