  @JulianBurnside My partner had an awful encounter at a Telstra shop yesterday. He queried when told they couldn’t see him for four hours. He just wanted to make a purchase which would have taken five minutes! His questioning this ended by him being asked to leave the store. He’s not happy.

  @Telstra why is your app messaging so slow to load. 2 days I have been trying to get on to talk to someone about my pending internet connection. No phone numbers to call either. Not good enough.

  @MicheleS_Aus @Telstra This one is large, plenty of staff. Yes, they were busy, but one had time to explain, at length, that no service was available for four hours. When queried, this employee walked away and a more senior person asked partner to leave. My partner was shocked, he’s not a rude person.

  I wouldn’t invest in Telstra. - $300M in growth just from increasing their mobile pricing on Post-Paid and Pre-Paid. - 11% pay rise for the CEO. - Loss of 30K mobile customers. Essentially they are lifting consumer pricing as a way to offset poor growth. Way too pricy.

  Anika Wells’ claim 'the industry must learn from its mistakes' following a damning report into the catastrophic Telstra outage is not good enough.  The collapse of Telstra’s mobile network on 8 July this year caused chaos with payment systems, shut down train networks, and stopped some people calling triple zero. Mobile telecommunications networks are critical infrastructure.  That is why, on the day of the outage, the Coalition called on the government to urgently deliver mobile network reliability standards.  There must be appropriate minimum standards in place governing the reliability, performance, and maintenance of our mobile networks with significant penalties when those standards are breached.  Asking telcos to 'rebuild trust with Australians by ensuring networks do not succumb to preventable failures’, as the minister stated today, is like hitting the telcos with a piece of wet lettuce.  The minister’s silence on the need for a tougher regulatory framework is deafening.

  @DHughesy @aaronsmith Saying "governments waste money" is easy, but the real problem is every government since has refused to raise revenue to match spending. Howard-Costello rode a mining boom and sold Telstra; they didn't solve the structural problems.

  Telstra what a joke , you are can’t receive anything , very poor reception on my Night Hawk again and again, something I have paid lots for, I get better reception in Far North Queensland than I do in STH Durras, just south of Sydney, what a disgrace #telstra #newspol #poortelstrarecption.
