Got sick of the BS, logged an issue with the ombudsman and got refund within two weeks. It was like the Telstra operator was dealing with 10 calls at once

Thankfully @telstra are “working on it” *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. I’m sure they’ll charge me for it

Cmon, it’s 2019 and a week w/out internet shouldn’t happen

Telstra just emailed me to say my mobile plan will be increasing by $5/mth, but my service won't improve. I'm unwillingly signed up to their "Rewards" - something built into the pricing. Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedI found out what the problem was, the entire building is down. NBN backbone issue, so it's not the ISP. Found a guy in the building that runs a mobile repeater business for buildings like this and he has official contacts with Telstra who say it's going to be down for the whole long weekend. Everyone in the building is struggling with phone access. He's going to put a proposal into strata (handily, that's me!) to install mobile repeaters in the building and also the basement carpark. I said I'll approve it.
