@Optus Thanks Jono. I freakin LOVE your network and have never once had an issue Optus and should not have signed a new bloody contract with Telstra...lesson learned.... ๐Ÿ˜“

  • Dannii_Taylor
Dannii (@Dannii_Taylor) reported from Trafalgar, Victoria

Itโ€™s taken 53minutes for a Telstra live chat representative to tell me that the fault is with my modem.... God I hope thatโ€™s the worst of it.

@CaseyBriggs @mscott Wish i could watch the news and feel informed but @Telstra have had another drop out and so far 20 minutes on hold, it might be Monday before help. Why dont i work from home in COVID 19, 3 months of unexplained and unfixed dropouts

@Kareeming_1 @murzo_4 Got this same **** a few months ago with a Foxtel Now overcharge. Got sick of the BS, logged an issue with the ombudsman and got refund within two weeks. It was like the Telstra operator was dealing with 10 calls at once

  • wombatlyons

@Telstra return to giving people help when they call 132000 or discount our bills for the absence of customer support

  • Dannii_Taylor

@Telstra_news @TelstraEnt @Telstra are usually pretty quick to contact you when you donโ€™t pay for their service...but theyโ€™re pretty bloody slow when their service sucks and you make multiple requests for assistance. Cmon, itโ€™s 2019 and a week w/out internet shouldnโ€™t happen

  • Dannii_Taylor
Dannii (@Dannii_Taylor) reported from Trafalgar, Victoria

We waited all day for @Telstra to call (like they said they would.....). But there was no phone call. Cโ€™mon guys - please get your act together and provide me with the service that Iโ€™m paying for. Kthanx.

@dilemski @Telstra Yeah I know. After 4 days itโ€™s still not lit. Iโ€™m using my mobile as a hotspot. Thankfully @telstra are โ€œworking on itโ€ *insert rage-filled sarcasm here*. I should have switched to @Optus instead of trusting Telstra to provide a decent service. Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™ll charge me for it

  • TraralgonTiger
๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ† TraralgonTiger ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿบ (@TraralgonTiger) reported from Traralgon, Victoria

@GregGibbo28 Was it a verbal threat on telstra app or did you lodge a complaint online with ombudsman?

  • Dannii_Taylor
Dannii (@Dannii_Taylor) reported from Trafalgar, Victoria

@dilemski @Telstra @Optus Actually make that 5 days. Itโ€™s been five loooooong days waiting for resolution.

@VoteLewko @Starlink 1000%. I can stand in the middle of Newcastle and get barely 2 bars of 5G sometimes on Telstra. Itโ€™s rubbish. Itโ€™s intermittent. And you pay a premium for the service.

  • ms_meh
    Ms Meh (@ms_meh) reported

@maher_aaron @wwos You Telstra 'em! Though they'll probably tell you it's a Youi problem that you don't like how the coverage is 99c delivered.

  • MelPalling
    Mel Palling (@MelPalling) reported

@Telstra When are you getting us a cell tower @Telstra?? This is dangerous! NBN connections are so bad we had to sign up for Opticomm, which until today, was awesome. But an all day outage and I'm working from my car.

    NewsTongue (@NewsTongueX) reported

๐Ÿ”ด PayphoneGo: 19-year-old built Pokemon Go for Australia's 14,000 payphones Kris Norris, a Brisbane student, launched PayphoneGo in April. Players call a number from payphones across Australia, enter a nine-digit ID, and accumulate pointsโ€”20 for first visit, 10 for second, then 5 and 1. First visitors can leave voicemails heard by subsequent callers. Norris said the game aims to encourage exploration and revive "old internet: no ads, no tracking, so few cookies." Telstra operates the payphones under Australia's universal service guarantee. Calls have been free since mid-2021. The company reports over 100 million calls since fees were scrapped, with usage tripling.

@the_LoungeFly @Telstra 1/2 I'm guessing there's an issue with privacy My messagebank was switched off without my consent When I called to get it switched back on the operator changed my plan I called asking for it to be reinstated (it was an obsolete plan) and spent a week arguing with a 'manager'...

Hey @Starlink. Moving my subscription to Telstra, an authorised Starlink reseller. Need urgent assistance to manually delink my KIT number as cannot do it through the Starlink site as subscription is only 3 days old. Can you help???

  • MikeCarlton01
    Mike Carlton (@MikeCarlton01) reported

And theyโ€™re all the same. Itโ€™s almost a rule that the bigger they are the worse they are. Telstra, Optus, Qantas, the big banks, Coles, Woolworths. All run by wildly overpaid โ€˜chief executivesโ€™ who would rather wrestle crocodiles than actually encounter a customer. **** โ€˜em all.

  • Tyler83069242
    Tyler Telfer (@Tyler83069242) reported

@StephenKealy1 @blowingtom2 The next stuff up of Howards was privatising Telstra. The economic damage and inefficiency imposed on the Australian economy has been horrendous. Every household pays for that mess. The government had to then spend $60b to role out the broadband.

  • Dabatsau
    Paddy (@Dabatsau) reported

@OneNewsAu This is not new news, they have been trialing sms over starlink using Optus and Telstra OWNED spectrum for several years and its at least live fir SMS on Telstra. As soon as Starship is cleared for normal operations they can launch the larger v3 satellites which will support this function fully. The spectrum spacex purchased is not compatible with current phones regardless, and would require manufacturers to adopt that band for use so its not close to being usable nor launched.
