  • ianpolson
Ian Olson (@ianpolson) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra 2/ Tim, your business has systematically gone about dismantling any intelligent and capable customer support/service capability over the past 10+ years so my beef isn’t with the poor souls in your call centers who scroll through scripts to try and resolve issues...

  • FrChrisBedding
Father Chris (@FrChrisBedding) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

The gentleman suggested Complaints. So I asked to be put through. But Complaints is not open on the weekend. I asked if there was anyone in the whole organisation who could help me. He said no. I thanked him for clarifying why we are leaving @Telstra

  • JasonKeegan1973
Jason Keegan (@JasonKeegan1973) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Gotta love Telstra using a song off the mighty Megadeth's 1st album for one of their ads! About time there was some decent music on tv compared to the utter shit that is usually brought out these days. #metalkicksass

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@MurraySmythe They will investigate if >4 nuisance calls from the same number. Problem the fraudsters use lots of different numbers, even no number coming up as 'call overseas" or 'private' blocking identity. #Telstra & #Govt should have laws about unsolicited calls. Proving is problem for us

  • lettermania
luke halden (@lettermania) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra when it has been over a week that elderly customers can't get online or have a home phone #nbn but support tells them to do the same thing and expect different results #insanity

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@JohnnyLydon @davrosz @Biggy1883 Geez that was the issue that frustrsted the hell out of Conroy. Telstra's lousy unmaintained pits & copper! 6. Years. Ago!!!

  • castiblancolya1
castiblanco_l@yahoo.es (@castiblancolya1) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

It’s ridiculous that a company like #Telstra does what it likes with the users and there is no entity that regulate them, Telstra charges its fees in #Australia but operates from overseas with people who don’t care about the service and doesn’t even know what they are talking ab.

  • glen_foreman
Glen Foreman (@glen_foreman) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@TheSportsFreak @SevenPerth @AFL @Foxtel Have a soul, so VIC thing no issue 😉 Kids + my own sport in an hour, rules out pub. Unfortunately not a @Telstra customer for the same reason I had to ditch @Foxtel (💲💲). And love @abcgrandstand coverage, but nothing beats pictures. Your point is valid tho: 1st world problem

  • TrishKurralinga
Patricia Rutherford (@TrishKurralinga) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@mormorlady @rubin_angela I had one claim to be from Telstra. I asked for a reference number, which I wrote down (has lots of r for rats in it) then I asked for her supervisors telephone number, & she hung up. Deducted she was a fraud. Normally I just don't bother with time wasters.Tell them FO & hang up.

  • FrChrisBedding
Father Chris (@FrChrisBedding) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

So now @Telstra has cut off the landline, without being asked. So so can’t port the number to iiNet. So I call Telstra. But it’s a business number, and the business team don’t work on weekends. So I ask to speak to someone ANYONE who can help.

  • ianpolson
Ian Olson (@ianpolson) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra Hi Tim. 1/ The team advised (after 4 days of bouncing between different departments) that the problem would be solved in another 24-48 hours but they didn’t want to “set unreasonably high expectations” and would “be in touch”...

  • Birdman196007
🎃 Mushing Watermelon🍉 (@Birdman196007) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

So please call 61177160 rather than our normal 94125700, until Telstra corrects the problem at an unknown time in the future. Please share as we are worried that emergency patients particularly may suffer if owners and vets cannot contact us after hours.

  • yGrael
Gav (@yGrael) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@deemadigan @TaodeHaas @Telstra @Telstra are the single worse company this country has produced. As far as I'm in they woud need to pay me,4 the rest of my days, to have an account with them again. For pain & suffering and time spent on fruitless calls to fix fk ups. 🖕#FuckYouTelstra🖕

  • TheDaleJT
Dale (@TheDaleJT) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra Well good thing I didn’t hold my breathe. Was told I’d get a call back from complaints officer. Been a week received received an email for feedback on the “outcome of my recently resolved complaint”. Yet another “promise” this joke of a company can’t keep. Asshats.

  • ianpolson
Ian Olson (@ianpolson) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra 4/ when you have dismantled and dismembered any semblance of cohesive customer support in the name of cost. Revenue shrinkage will surely follow thus rendering your cost reduction ambitions a fools errand. I’m a shareholder and as a customer but likely neither for much longer...

  • petedavo_au
Peter Davidson 🇦🇺 (@petedavo_au) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@NewtonMark I'd wager that the Telstra Gen 2 smart modem is probably the direct cause of network congestion. Nice touch though to hide NBN disconnections with a fallover to 4G

  • RavenGypsyMask
Matty H, Aussie By Birth, Kansas City by Brainwash (@RavenGypsyMask) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

Telstra TV, or get your ass to a venue near you, if I can you can. Like me show your support for all netball organisations and the sport in general, let's get the support for this game that it deserves, let's get the funding for this game that it deserves. IN FACT LET'S GET

  • ianpolson
Ian Olson (@ianpolson) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra 3/ Tim, these actions by @Telstra management in trying to reduce costs have rendered your business incapable of efficiently dealing with even basic customer service or technical queries. Your attempts to innovate using “automation” are of little consequence.

  • tonytau101
Tony Ilian (@tonytau101) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@cheryl_kernot @Senator_Patrick Cherry is correct. I was made redundant by @Telstra. Most if not all of the operation is now based either in India or the Philippines. This outsourcing would never have happened under Govt ownership. TI #sayNo

  • TheDaleJT
Dale (@TheDaleJT) reported from Westfield, Western Australia

@Telstra INT 1-2182984659100 Just had online chat with Rochelle who assured me she would transfer me to velocity to resolve my complaint as she cant arrange call back. Even though I said they would be closed she called me & transferred me to a closed call centre. Telstra is insufferable

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • BrentZack
    Brent Zack (@BrentZack) reported

@trickyidnego @Magpie1954nBird @Telstra So, I had spoken to customer service twice and sales twice. Both would have been able to see the status of the connection & plan for that account. Said nothing, happy to hoodwink us into getting a new, more expensive plan. I'd NEVER use Telstra.

  • BrentZack
    Brent Zack (@BrentZack) reported

@trickyidnego @Magpie1954nBird @Telstra Dad was dying of cancer. Mum had dementia. I had been doing all their admin - paying bills, shopping etc, so never tought to ask or check. It turned out they had already been shifted to phone only plan on NBN fibre, (terminal box was in garage) Dad didn't think to mention/forgot.

  • tjscott
    Claire (@tjscott) reported

Well, that was ridiculous, spent well over 8 hours talking to different @Telstra people. And the name on my bill today was misspelled. It shouldn't be my job to have to reverse engineer everywhere my name exists in your horrible systems and fight to have it changed one by one.

  • AnnieWyer
    Spikeyhair (@AnnieWyer) reported

@MSMWatchdog2013 @Telstra Take your complaint to the Ombudsman. Telstra can’t get away with that.

  • PraiseTheSunMu1
Praise The Sun Mum (@PraiseTheSunMu1) reported

Internet is down for a few days. No phone reception at home either, can only chat when I go to town Telstra sucks.

  • JamieNicolaou
    Jamie Nicolaou (@JamieNicolaou) reported

@Telstra Same issues as we’ve been having in our town, just like many other people all across regional areas, Telstra just doesn’t seem to want to fix their issues.

  • JennyGaudry
    Jenny Gaudry (@JennyGaudry) reported

@Telstra This issue I have is all I wanted to do was have a conversation regarding increasing my sms limit. I was not even given the option to hold on the phone. Simply I was sent a text to go to Telstra online and sort it out myself. Then the phone hung up. Very rude. This happened 3 x

  • BrentZack
    Brent Zack (@BrentZack) reported

@trickyidnego @Magpie1954nBird @Telstra Customer service said they don't know why sales would tell me that. I said, I do...sales paid commission. Told to tell sales the plan name for phone only, which CS told me, then put back to sales. They didn't know of that plan. Flat out lying to upsell. Bastards.

  • SugarsKath
    Kath Sugars (@SugarsKath) reported

@MSMWatchdog2013 @Telstra How can that be legal? Mine went down automatically, from memory, once the phone was paid off.

  • sammiedude88
    Sam Sammoi Gordon (@sammiedude88) reported

@Telstra hi team, having issues AGAIN with my dads Telstra bill, I’m authorised on his account, can I send a DM to discuss and have this looked into ASAP? Cheers
