I find it poor how @Optus is wasting money blasting apologies on electric billboards rather than using the money and resources to upgrade their systems security like literally walk past 7 sign's in one street with the same apology message I'malready thinking of changing provider

@ichimikichiki @AnnastaciaMP @TMRQld Once you get your new CRN, your old CRN will no longer be valid ( cant auth with it). Also you will need the breach notice emailed to you from optus to receive a new CRN (cant just say "optus hack") What nightmare? I see no issue with getting a new CRN?

@Optus You would think in your current predicament you would provide more support and improved customer service. I supposed my expectations were to high. This is after completing the MFA.

Why did the hack happen? Poor corporate governance. What enabled it to happen? Data retention legislation. Who's responsible? Optus and everyone who voted for data retention legislation #insiders

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Really good idea: wasting money on full page adverts in the media Really bad idea: using that money to compensate customers Just in case you're wondering there may well be a healthy dose of sarcasm in here.....

@TorSamundsett Yes, BUT they didn't need to keep them longer than 2 years, but they did - we know why. BTW other telcos and many, many other businesses have this sort of data but have invested in good security. Optus' security has been an known issue for those in the industry for YEARS
