@JelCastragigo @LesStonehouse I did that as well for Optus. Home phone and Optus tv plans. Also falsely advertised as wages. Lasted two weeks. Made 3 sales and never paid at all. Scam.

@PeterTOWNSV1LLE If you have ID fraud perpetrated against you they are quite useful They will guide you through the nightmare that ensures Help you get documentation to mitigate bad credit But prevention is always going to be the best option Optus needs to take responsibility & give real advice

My phone - iPhone 11 - is not typing properly (the wrong letters come up compared to the ones I have pressed, and fast too), is flicking between apps when I'm not touching it and slowing down. Have switched it on and off a lot. Is it impacted by the Optus security hack? Gulp!

@nameshiv Also, they hackers now apparently have enough data to open accounts in people's names and rack up massive bills. People (maybe even me) will get terrible credit ratings because of an Optus hack, but it's up to me to 'watch out for this'?

I was working at #Optus when the prepaid mobile service started. New customers could buy 'starter kits', only a sim card, without providing any identification. Police eventually demanded ID to be collected and stored due to crime investigations being hindered by burner phones.
