  • MikeFitzAU 💧Mike Fitzsimon (@MikeFitzAU) reported from Sunshine Coast, State of Queensland

@twasink @LesStonehouse @Optus True. Done that. With my health situation, our house is wi-fi’d to the max. I can speak to unlock the front door to let the ambos in. Visitors and tradies cop it worst. And then we had a week of really poor NBN (Thank you, Mr Turnbull.) I was off the air.

  • jdawg722 Jimmy (@jdawg722) reported from Sunshine Coast, State of Queensland

@JelCastragigo @LesStonehouse I did that as well for Optus. Home phone and Optus tv plans. Also falsely advertised as wages. Lasted two weeks. Made 3 sales and never paid at all. Scam.

  • SarahKneale12 Sarah Kneale (@SarahKneale12) reported from Sunshine Coast, State of Queensland

  • swearyanthony Anthony B, (@swearyanthony) reported

Has anyone at management or board level at Optus suffered any consequences for their catastrophic failure to protect customer data? Of course not. So this will keep happening.

  • SillyOldBugger Pat Cleary💉💉💉💉 (@SillyOldBugger) reported

@MackayIM @aparachick Far from it. I could list half a dozen attacks since 2019 in this country with at least as much impact as the Optus breach - and they’re just the ones we know about. The 2019 Chinese ANU breach was probably the worst of all of them for long term impact.

  • JaneTaylore Jane Taylor (@JaneTaylore) reported

@riseupandresist Deliberate and planned to rollout digital Identity? Nobody has been arrested over the Optus hack and never will be.

  • raymond3020 Adam Gemmell (@raymond3020) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus talk about impossible to contact you to find out why my nbn is not working. Happy to give my data away but not help.

  • Kel_McFletch Kerri McDonnell (@Kel_McFletch) reported

@Optus and #Jim stop trying to encourage DM, just provide the service that I stupidly pay for. Fix it #notthathard @giveusaW

  • Minus777 Peter (@Minus777) reported

@msfang @Optus @Telstra It's scary that there's no way of contacting Optus. Their online support just made unrelated responses. It's like all Optus employees in Australia are hidden from the public. The people in Optus stores don't actually work for Optus.

  • VishRIyer Vish (@VishRIyer) reported

Optus decided to charge for Optus Sport and everything went to ****.

  • TwitsForMiles Very Stable Genius Au Pair (@TwitsForMiles) reported

@Leo_Puglisi6 Puts hand up. Optus personally and through business accounts. Medibank personally. Energy Australia possibly through business accounts. Surely I'm not unlucky enough to be one of the 323 though? I've taken out a credit and personal data monitoring service subscription.

  • no_fkng_way no way (@no_fkng_way) reported

Australian telco giant Optus was operating a “revoked” online safety certificate – meaning it was on a cybersecurity blacklist – on its “API” subdomain, and was operating an insecure customer site at least as far back as February last year.

  • Lupi33z Lupi (@Lupi33z) reported

@aromatouche just these past 3 weeks in Australia we've had major 'cyber attacks' data breaches on... 1. Telecommunications Retailer (Optus) 2. Healthcare (Medibank) 3. Energy Retailer (Energy Australia) and our government has drafted Digital ID legislation problem-reaction-solution
