@ClareONeilMP How should former customers - who can’t contact @Optus via messaging app (no current account) or the phone (terminates our calls when we can’t enter a current service) find out if impacted?

The weekend bad show in a nutshell… Optus CEO: It was a sophisticated hack. Minister: It wasn’t. David Speers: Who’s right? Who can say?

@Optus #qld hasn't had #DaylightSaving for a very long time. Something about cows fading. Can you please #Fixit travelling regularly I don't want to have to adjust my phone all the Damn time

@Optus Thank you Medina. I’m certainly not shooting the messenger but if I was her being an Optus customer I’d be more concerned about my details being on the dark web than 2 days of no service. Thanks.

@InsidersABC If you think the Optus hack is bad, could you imagine a hack on one of the real estate tenancy application platforms? Tenancy application platforms ask for far more personal information than Optus. Any way forward here?

@Optus internet down again. Unstable for over a week. Would like some support.

...have major brand damage for years to come. But let's not forget that Optus is the 2nd largest telco in Australia - an underdog to Telstra that paved the way for a more competitive market and greater choice for consumers...

I've been trying to contact a friend who is going though a difficult time. She lives in central Queensland. She has had no phone service for 2 days because @Optus has been down for 2 days in her area, people need to dump this carrier, as if there data breach isn't bad enough.

@manpageman @Optus Which is why I always thought "Data is the new oil" was a terrible metaphor. Marketers used it to try to say "data powers everything" while oddly forgetting about CO2 and myriad other oil-related downsides

@InsidersABC The question needs to be where was this data stored. If #Optus outsourced to New Delhi, that is the issue as well.
