    @JelCastragigo @LesStonehouse I did that as well for Optus. Home phone and Optus tv plans. Also falsely advertised as wages. Lasted two weeks. Made 3 sales and never paid at all. Scam.

    @twasink @LesStonehouse @Optus True. Done that. With my health situation, our house is wi-fi’d to the max. I can speak to unlock the front door to let the ambos in. Visitors and tradies cop it worst. And then we had a week of really poor NBN (Thank you, Mr Turnbull.) I was off the air.

    I found I can email @optus by replying to email from CEO re #databreach as past customer - nothing else works - their app and 133937 only work for current customers not past customers like me. More dithering by Optus. Thank goodness media told me what is going on.

    @LovelandMJ I'm happy for you, but your case is a rare exception. The vast majority of customers will have this request rejected. It is not helpful to focus on the exception, rather than the rule as communicated by Optus support staff.

    Have any @Optus customers received anything other than the generic email on 24 Sep? Is that the notice that individuals specifically have been compromised, or is that just a generic communication to everyone? For a communications company, the comms is pretty poor #OptusDataBreach

    @natecochrane @Optus @ClareONeilMP Surely ID verification services can provide a token to Telco etc that serves as proof that a check was done on the customer and all was good? That would serve as the "relevant record" etc for identity check rules.
