@twasink @LesStonehouse @Optus True. Done that. With my health situation, our house is wi-fi’d to the max. I can speak to unlock the front door to let the ambos in. Visitors and tradies cop it worst. And then we had a week of really poor NBN (Thank you, Mr Turnbull.) I was off the air.

@Jeremy_Kirk Advice to those impacted: Report it to ACORN, IDcare and then do a credit stop (Experian, Illion, Equifax), plus alert your banks you are/were an Optus customer

  • BlairEwart Blair (@BlairEwart) reported

I’ve been an Optus customer for like 20 years. Should I be concerned that I have received zilch from them?

  • CatPurry9 Cate Perry ♿️ (@CatPurry9) reported

@Rachel_Jae @GDixon1977 Maybe @Optus can pay for my name change and issue me and my family new phones and internet services?

  • richardjkirby Richard K (@richardjkirby) reported

Optus offering free Equifax subscription to all customers. Whether you care about the hack or not sign up. This is a valuable service to have.

  • sonics89 Sonic (@sonics89) reported

I was an @optus customer till Friday when I moved as a result and am bringing all my customers including some corporates with me to @BelongAU and @Telstra. I cannot risk having customers data exposed and have taken measures to mitigate the issue going forward #OptusClassAction

  • _theboywizard_ theboywizard (@_theboywizard_) reported

@fwmelb @davesayys I’ve been with circles for years they’re excellent never had any issues and they have their own billing system so Optus don’t have the IDs etc etc

  • AenesidemusOZ 𝔊𝔯𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔞𝔩𝔣 (@AenesidemusOZ) reported

The issue with #Optus paying customers “compensation” for the data ‘hack’ (moronic screwup by Optus) is they will be able to wash their hands of any other needed response by saying “We paid!” This needs something more than just “Here’s some cash; now go away.”

  • Cyb3rCh1ck3n TheCyberTech (@Cyb3rCh1ck3n) reported

Love the fact that Equifax (AU) credit agency do not support 2FA/MFA for there online accounts.....so all of the potentially affected users of the recent Optus breach will get a free 1 year sub to a service with 0 2FA/MFA......welcome to 2022 @Optus @Equifax #NoLogic #OptusBreach

  • 021Bubbles Bubbles 021 (@021Bubbles) reported

@nabtrade So optus data leak happened. Apparently Nabtrade doesn’t offer any 2FAuthentication. “We’ve never had a problem” is the response. Any plans to protect your customers moving forward?

  • helenthepainte1 helenthepainter (@helenthepainte1) reported

@joshgnosis @AlanBixter I got their email it confused me. It seemed to say not much bad happened only the hackers got all the personal information and numbers etc I was forced to give up to join Optus in the first place. All good. I’m a really happy customer now.
