  • babybrit babybrit (@babybrit) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@DezMaggs @Optus No contact from them to me either but thanks to @TrendMicro nearly 6,000 spam sms scams have been prevented... I struggle to even have service on certain days and times... it sucks.

  • girlondon Kathryn Geels (@girlondon) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@alsotheabyss @LaurenBeldi I felt the same about filling out those forms even before the Optus incident. It really wasn’t very clear how they used the information, how they stored it and where, who had access to it, and how long they keep it.

  • fanaticeel ScubaSteve (@fanaticeel) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@peter__kay It's truly appalling. And due to present laws passed by the previous govt Optus won't be fined! However that doesn't help what happened. I haven't been with optus since 96.. hmm I should be ok

  • viller Stephen Viller (@viller) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus we've had no home broadband since this morning in Chapel Hill (Qld 4069), with the MyOptus check network status saying there is a problem and it is being investigated. Any news on the outcome of the investigation and when we will have our network and phone working again?

  • fanaticeel ScubaSteve (@fanaticeel) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@peter__kay I think many will abandon Optus. At least the state governments have agreed to allow people to change their licences however that doesn't help those who used their passports. I hope it doesn't happen but someone could lose a lot of money

  • madamcyn cynthia dammerer (@madamcyn) reported from Gold Coast, State of Queensland

Good to know it's only the customers and not Optus that's affected. #OptusHack It is a combination of your name, date of birth, email, phone number and/or address but it is important to know that Optus’ network and Optus services including mobile and home Wi-Fi aren’t affected🤬

  • PKambara PKambara (@PKambara) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

  • Flansq Bonshaquita’lafondria (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@_marty_k Ugh. No thank you. I haven’t used a SimCard at all since I moved to Optus. When I ported from vids phone on the iPhone 12, I just activated via the app. Same deal with the 14PM. Just had to phone to get them to issue a new eSim to the app (transfer phone to phone didn’t work)

  • lesstenny Politic@l Spinner. (@lesstenny) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Anyone else having issues with Optus' BS new HUB setup?

  • Flansq Bonshaquita’lafondria (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@_marty_k I dumped Voda for poor 5G coverage and rollout. Optus is still much better in that regard.

  • GuyRedRooHaines The RedRoo from Downunder (@GuyRedRooHaines) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus how come if I’m a prepay customer I can select a $20 international roaming data plan with 10gig over 14 days but if I’m on a plan I have to select a $10per day for 1 gig add on? Seems sorta cruddy for your plan based customers.

  • magpies59 @magpies59 (@magpies59) reported from Gold Coast, State of Queensland

Well well..email from Optus…never been a mobile user with them…BUT with Virgin Mobile..Optus purchased their customers!! So now I’ve got ***** hacking my banking, super & various other Apps. There’s 9 in total…so glad I ****** then off & went with Vodafone!! #OptusHack #Optus

@GladysB Optus garbage service is a backwards step for Australia

  • Flansq Bonshaquita’lafondria (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Does anyone else find Optus 5G regularly shows as connected with full service, but no data will transfer? Websites won’t open, apps won’t connect etc?

  • barryrutherford Barry Rutherford | Parkrun fan (@barryrutherford) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@ClareONeilMP I haven’t been an Optus customer since 2004 yet I received a letter from the CEO that my Data had been leaked. It’s left me worried.

@Moffitt9210 @Optus You and how many millions. It's gone down. Hacked or overwhelmed????

  • ReeDiamond2 Ree Diamond (@ReeDiamond2) reported

@SenPaterson @Birmo James .. some of us haven't had the message or email from optus with the code they want us to add to Equifax. Does that mean we wont have a problem or does it mean that optus aren't keeping us up to date ? tks

  • NeCWe 🐟💧 Neil Weston #TeamTink (@NeCWe) reported

@MichaelPascoe01 @hughriminton The guy who worked for the supposed free market think tank, that is always ranting about big govt, is seriously proposing that taxpayers foot the bill for fixing the problems that are the responsibility of a private company? Why isn't he calling for Optus to pay ? Mind boggling

  • GDixon1977 Maranoa Girl (@GDixon1977) reported

@adamliaw The exceptionally wealthy investors in Optus are too poor to compensate the suckers sorry clients who got ripped off in the hack. The investors invest only to make money not lose it. They outsource any loss or thought of a loss to the taxpayer.

  • IlTalizorahlI Daniel (@IlTalizorahlI) reported

@Optus hello, I'm trying to extend my credit expiry I've been recharging and it hasn't extended, is there a problem on your end? Thx

  • Sw3333p TheMemeGeneratorFormerlyKnownAsPatMac (@Sw3333p) reported

@9NewsAUS So the Australian people/ tax payer pays instead of Optus to resolve the issue. Ok bro

  • matt4w Matt (@matt4w) reported

If @Optus knows who had their data breached, surely @ServiceNSW can automatically re-issue drivers licenses...

  • RockliffTeam RockliffTeamMedia (@RockliffTeam) reported

@elzbethmrgn To receive a new licence number, Service Tasmania customers will be required to present evidence from Optus that they have been impacted by the data breach or sign a statutory declaration to state that their personal information was breached by the Optus data leak.

  • chelle_lezley chelle (@chelle_lezley) reported

Be part of the Dead Network. It starts with yes. No, Optus. 😑

  • elzbethmrgn Elizabeth Morgan (@elzbethmrgn) reported

@RockliffTeam Thanks, my comment wasn't directed at you (although I wasn't clear). The lack of communication from Optus on this issue is infuriating.
