.@TPG_Telecom Trying to port my TPG no from TPG’s Optus to Vodaphone network. Spent countless hrs calling helpdesk every day, talked to supervisiors, waited days for engineers to investigate. Been waiting 20 DAYS, still not working. This is ridiculous. Fix this!!

@gwynne007 @Optus If my data was stolen, ID fraud would be my biggest concern. And, based on my experiences with companies that ask for 100 point ID - banks, telco, nbn, energy company - it will definitely solve the Idenity Fraud issue.

@themiasandrist That’s good to hear. I’m going to set up my sim, update all my TFA to the new number then cancel my Optus account.

Meanwhile, we’ve got Optus saying nothing about how this happened whilst data is being spread through a popular hacking forum (not on that scary “dark web” either, just a normal website), and anonymous parties passing how the whole thing went down directly to @Jeremy_Kirk

@Optus my data reception has been awful since the cyber attack and am barely getting 3G at home anymore when I was always on 5G. Is there a way to fix this?

@StephenJonesMP There is absolutely no reason for Optus to retain copies of documents etc especially once a customer has left. I am extremely angry that Optus has put me at risk!!

@kcarruthers @Optus I'm no expert but here's how I'd manage this 1. Provide a genuine apology 2. Establish a dedicated customer support team office - with dedicated comms - ASAP 3. Never pass blame on a single individual - make an early commitment to overhauling culture on privacy

@NobodyImpawtant @StephenJonesMP Once Optus verified my details to prove my identity and open my account, why did they need to retain my data? Legislation to prevent retention of personal data should be considered. Stop the problem before it starts.

Optus won't talk to me so delete your credit card info from the login portal on auto pay. Let's see when they ring me
