    If @optus have ceased complying with Govt requests, Govt should consider amendments to either the Telecommunications Act or even the Corporations Act. Propose that Treasurer @JEChalmers be given powers to appoint emergency directors to Optus. TI #WhackThem

    @Optus if a customer is not contacted, does that mean their details have not been compromised? Or are those customers not contacted…just expected to go out and get new licences? A bit confused over how this has been handled.

    @3wombats Interesting. I have been an @Optus customer for over 15 years and received nothing, zilch from them regarding the data breach.

    Hey @Optus I have already been a victim to the cyber attack, now I seem to be a victim to your terrible customer service and have spent the best part of FIVE working days trying to rectify a range of mistakes, trying to take TRIPLE the amount our of my account

    @RobBrighton4 @SquizzSTK Except the 100 points ID was introduced as a crime prevention measure. The crime that Optus has committed is the retention of data beyond that necessary to maintain their service and of course, their appallingly lax security.

    @joshgnosis Not OPTUS but stayed in Bowral for weekend. Hotel photocopied my driver's licence together with credit card. Is this legal? What if hotel has break-in? What recourse does the hotel patron have? Is it state or federal issue?

    @Capt_kirk76 #OptusDataBreach Former Optus customer. Finally got through to call centre in Philippines. Confirmed I am affected but now state there is no personal ID linked to account. So where did it go? Unable to inform me what is now happening with my personal information.

    @woopdedoo652 Hey @Optus , this poor wording looks a lot like typical scams. I mean, for a start it should be i.e. not e.g. secondly this implies you incorrectly recorded the ID number (rather than deliberate obfuscation/masking) wtf kind of village outfit is this?
