Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT@yodaberg @Optus I’ve had alot of problems with them lately & the only thing that worked was going into a store. Chat is probably the next most helpful & you can get a transcript of what they’ve promised to action.
-
Andrew Christian (@GGL_Drew) reported from Queanbeyan, New South WalesJust spoke with family in Tuross Heads. Tuross is unaffected apart from smoke. Connectivity available on the Telstra network (but not optus). Power just turned on at 2am this morning. Water is on and working. #SouthCoastFires #BushfireEmergency #tuross
-
Gillian Smith (@sweetgilly) reported from Canberra, ACT@Optus Not sure if I’ll get a resolution from @Optus I sent a dm
-
Simon Chan (@simoncha_n) reported from Canberra, ACT@somethingshort @LinkedInAU It’s about blaming your @Optus teammates for piss poor security efforts.
-
Prof Inger Mewburn (@thesiswhisperer) reported from Canberra, ACTSo, @Optus put up my phone bill because 'inflation', but has done nothing about my complaint about having no coverage many times over the past 4 months. I guess it's back to @Telstra for me, but I don't hold out much hope it will be better. Duopolies suck.
-
50ShadesofJay (@JayJayK75) reported from Canberra, ACT@allaningleton @Optus Surely someone working there would see how completely stupid that is and take it back, complete crooks mate, phone company’s these days are a nightmare to deal with
-

-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACTWay to wreck a Sunday, try to contact @Optus to fix their substandard offering.
-
Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, ACTNothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.
-
-
Andy Marsh (@stillupsocut) reported from Canberra, ACT@Optus I had two wireless broadband plans and as soon as I terminate one my speeds slow to under 1mb/s. Been two weeks with no solution from your tech support.
-
Michael (@miksta85) reported from Canberra, ACT@optus you need to fix your coverage at Gungahlin marketplace. It’s non-existent.
-
Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, ACT@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.
-
Simon Chan (@simoncha_n) reported from Canberra, ACT@timburrowes Most email services that Optus would be using or have the ability to use can easily handle that volume of emails. Amazon Web Services sells SES (Simple Email Service) that is very cheap and scales considerably.
-
Jessicah Mullins (@JesMullins) reported from Canberra, ACTA week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…
-
🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, ACT@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.
-
Jamien Rees (@voroguecp) reported from Canberra, ACTYou just have to love @Optus. 2nd time in a few months they have cancelled our work email. Whole account system is attached to it. No warning. Just cancelled. Thousands of dollars at a stake. Service response, ‘nothing we can do’.
-
Phoebe #Raiders4Life (@P_Glo) reported from Canberra, ACT@RedFiddler Yep pretty good deal. Don’t have too many problems with them. Partner is with Optus and does nothing but complain.

-
▪️▫️DAVID▪️▫️ (@turtlemagpies) reported@Telstra What a disgrace that each Telstra customer has to individually apply for compensation for the outages last week. Really shows what you think of your customers. Just provide free data like Optus did you scabs. Pathetic 😡 #telstra #telstraoutage
-
Humpy (@sirhumpyAU) reported@TweetTreet @tim_blee That's bullshit, devices EFTPOS and similar devices that run on 4G/5G can use other networks, and a bit of business continuity planning would have a backup network, even for a small business, like running down to Officeworks and buying an OPTUS prepaid SIM.
-
Ash 🇦🇺 (@TheInspectorAsh) reported@heidimur This isn’t just about Telstra. We saw similar issues with Optus. If our emergency communications and critical infrastructure are meant to be resilient, why do single network outages continue to have such widespread impacts? It’s time to review whether our redundancy is truly independent, or whether we’re relying on backups that share the same points of failure.
-
Jack The Aussie (@hammerofleft) reported@amagickeagle999 You stupid ****. She was mouthing off about increasing standards and enacting penalties for service outages after the Optus crash but has done **** all. So you partisan ******** get some facts, she ****** up.
-
John (@John93174626736) reported@chrissmithonair @optus_support Sorry to hear Chris. Have you tried calling Optus support? John
-
Amit bhullar (@Amitbhullar) reported@pceebee23 @LayaboutSi @Telstra They very much are. All vline trains are down. Metro uses Optus so they are fine.
-
dick_taylor (@dick_taylor) reported@VoteLewko On my mates farm in the coast they have redundancy (Starlink) & anothet mate who runs ASIC’s infrastructure says they have always had both Telstra & Optus to try & avoid over reliance on a single network. So if farmers & some federal bureaucrats know this why don’t Victoria’s?🤡
-
William Evans (@will_evans_qld) reportedBack when Optus went down I was a Telstra customer. I moved over to amaysim which is Optus, and now the Big T has gone down. #winning
-
LM (@Offerandextend) reported@Wolfie__Bear @Cotty_Merv @Telstra It’s like he’s hoping Telstra will pick him or thank him publicly? Imagine my frustration when a major corporation that keeps increasing their prices can’t even get a service working which puts people at risk 🤡. It’s like when Optus went out and people literally died
