Prof Inger Mewburn (@thesiswhisperer) reported from Canberra, ACTSo, @Optus put up my phone bill because 'inflation', but has done nothing about my complaint about having no coverage many times over the past 4 months. I guess it's back to @Telstra for me, but I don't hold out much hope it will be better. Duopolies suck.
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT@yodaberg @Optus I’ve had alot of problems with them lately & the only thing that worked was going into a store. Chat is probably the next most helpful & you can get a transcript of what they’ve promised to action.
-
Marko (@AusLoafer) reported from Canberra, ACTDamn it seems George didn't lose the ******** shades at Optus Stadium... #Masterchefau
-
Gillian Smith (@sweetgilly) reported from Canberra, ACTWell @Optus no service after act storms last night…what are you doing about it?!
-
Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, ACT@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.
-
Jessicah Mullins (@JesMullins) reported from Canberra, ACTA week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…
-
Simon Chan (@simoncha_n) reported from Canberra, ACT@timburrowes Most email services that Optus would be using or have the ability to use can easily handle that volume of emails. Amazon Web Services sells SES (Simple Email Service) that is very cheap and scales considerably.
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT@Optus I cancelled my Optus adsl connection at the end of January after significant problems and more than a week without service & now I’ve had my previous direct debit used to take funds out on 17 February. There is no end to the terrible service by optus.
-
Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, ACTNothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.
-
Andy Marsh (@stillupsocut) reported from Canberra, ACT@Optus I had two wireless broadband plans and as soon as I terminate one my speeds slow to under 1mb/s. Been two weeks with no solution from your tech support.
-
Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, ACT@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.
-
Leon Ha (@Fabulous_Red) reported from Canberra, ACTI do hope that @Optus will match 1:1 the amount of data #Optus customers have donated generously this #Christmas to help drive positive changes in our community. LH

-
🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, ACT@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.
-
Andrew Christian (@GGL_Drew) reported from Queanbeyan, New South WalesJust spoke with family in Tuross Heads. Tuross is unaffected apart from smoke. Connectivity available on the Telstra network (but not optus). Power just turned on at 2am this morning. Water is on and working. #SouthCoastFires #BushfireEmergency #tuross
-
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACTWhy am I not surprised it’s this hard to cancel my @Optus broadband account after they told me my ADSL connection had been cut, with no notification.
-
Jamien Rees (@voroguecp) reported from Canberra, ACTYou just have to love @Optus. 2nd time in a few months they have cancelled our work email. Whole account system is attached to it. No warning. Just cancelled. Thousands of dollars at a stake. Service response, ‘nothing we can do’.

Teo (@TeoMorabito) reportedI just found out RCS (rich communication services) isn't available in Australia thanks to @Optus @Telstra @NBN_Australia WTF seriously
-
Warwick Brown / CEO of HTMX (same thing) (@WarkickBrown) reported@Andrew_Godman @DPRVenjoyer @hisaflog100 It was actually iconic how Optus had already said their network wasn’t usable and then Turnbull came back and asked to buy it anyway and they obviously decided “**** it, we’re not above profiting off your stupidity”.
-
Dave Jones (@eevblog) reportedNow tweeting from my lab machine again with very basic Optus 5G internet. Will have to upload video and stuff from home, but otherwise I'm kinda functional again. No idea when NBN/Telstra will restore the connection, it's been 3 days already so I assume it's very bad. Today is Sunday and tomorrow is another public holiday.
-
Optus (@Optus) reported@billdogan Hey Bill, it's not good to hear you're experiencing different internet speeds on your devices. When it comes to reception, Optus is constantly upgrading our network to provide better coverage. However, multiple factors can affect this, such as your hardware capabilities, software update, the building materials used in your home, and other signal blocking objects in your area. I have also checked your address from our end, and it looks like we haven't had any reported mobile network issues in this area. Please send us a DM with your full-service address, so we can investigate further. -Enku
-
Tak 🇦🇺 (@NF_Tak) reportedI went to cancel my service today, and they wanted me to speak with the @Optus loyalty team. I have been waiting for over 1 hour for this amazing loyalty service! I should have just cancelled when I had the chance.
-
Minibobo (@minibobo) reportedKiro is pure garbage. I ran it for a few minutes using Optus 4.6, and then it told me "Invalid model ID. Please select a different model to continue." I couldn't find a refund option either, so I guess I'll just consider the $13 a waste. @kirodotdev
-
Harry Gregory (@Hazkypreos) reported@RFC_Centre One thing I found interesting watching the game at Optus. Time after time Sonsie was manning two players when the dockers were coming out of defence and usually stuck between both of them. There was never any backup from another team mate. Other than one error he had a good game.
-
Patriot princess 777 (@Garycopela0) reported💥BREAKING NEWS: Let's talk about Optus and the 'outage'!💥 There has been a lot of speculation and questioning over the suspicious Optus outage. This explosive video exposes what is really going on and shows with evidence its links to the corruption in the Australian Government
-
shiv 🔜 on twitch (@shivjam) reported@AllieHollyS I called Optus and said I would be moving to a place that offered $25 a month. I was sick of it. So they just manually changed my plan from $75 to $25 for the year…… their prices are completely made up and they can do wtf they want you just got to be serious about leaving.
-
wazza_gc (@WazzaGc) reported@SkyNewsAust @OMGTheMess Didn't have the guts to attend the Optus inquiry, because "she wasn't obligated". Kind of like Albanese saying "we weren't asked" on the Hormuz help. Doing the right thing just doesn't come natural for Labor.
