I do hope that @Optus will match 1:1 the amount of data #Optus customers have donated generously this #Christmas to help drive positive changes in our community. LH

  • AmandaWorldwide
Amanda Valentina💋 (@AmandaWorldwide) reported from Canberra, ACT

Nothing like spending your spare time in an @Optus store because the customer service call centre are so inefficient & haven’t cancelled two numbers, one dating back to October 2017, despite being asked to on more than 2 occasions. $120 p/m charges need to be reimbursed, too.

  • P_Glo
Phoebe #Raiders4Life (@P_Glo) reported from Canberra, ACT

@RedFiddler Yep pretty good deal. Don’t have too many problems with them. Partner is with Optus and does nothing but complain.

  • voroguecp
Jamien Rees (@voroguecp) reported from Canberra, ACT

You just have to love @Optus. 2nd time in a few months they have cancelled our work email. Whole account system is attached to it. No warning. Just cancelled. Thousands of dollars at a stake. Service response, ‘nothing we can do’.

  • sandraom
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT

Way to wreck a Sunday, try to contact @Optus to fix their substandard offering.

A week later and still no resolution. Just infuriating comments from people on the Optus messaging service who have clearly not read the case notes. @Optus you need to fix this…

  • sandraom
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT

@yodaberg @Optus I’ve had alot of problems with them lately & the only thing that worked was going into a store. Chat is probably the next most helpful & you can get a transcript of what they’ve promised to action.

  • refjess
Jess the Referee (@refjess) reported from Canberra, ACT

@NJGalea @Optus I had so many problems with them when I signed up. Never again. I'll take my chances with the clowns at Telstra rather than this mob again.

  • JayJayK75
50ShadesofJay (@JayJayK75) reported from Canberra, ACT

@allaningleton @Optus Surely someone working there would see how completely stupid that is and take it back, complete crooks mate, phone company’s these days are a nightmare to deal with

  • TimShawTweets
Tim Shaw (@TimShawTweets) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Optus get your f#cking sh#t together and fix digital access in #FranklinACT right now unless you want a whole world of media pain directed your way real soon. Namaste @TimShawTweets @2CC

  • thesiswhisperer
Prof Inger Mewburn (@thesiswhisperer) reported from Canberra, ACT

So, @Optus put up my phone bill because 'inflation', but has done nothing about my complaint about having no coverage many times over the past 4 months. I guess it's back to @Telstra for me, but I don't hold out much hope it will be better. Duopolies suck.

  • Tikkaspecial
Steve Smith (@Tikkaspecial) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Optus NBN down this morning. Website reports no issues at 2911.

  • AusLoafer
Marko (@AusLoafer) reported from Canberra, ACT

Damn it seems George didn't lose the ******** shades at Optus Stadium... #Masterchefau

  • KBGoodness
🥃 KB 🥃🎮🍜 (@KBGoodness) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Haydztweets @Jacko_GFreak @Telstra @Optus @iiNet Well no, some POIs have a higher capacity then others and it comes down to if they can actually support the speeds. If you're on a POI that is at almost capacity then the chances of getting higher speeds are limited, which is why people hit that 7pm slowdown.

  • _manin_black_
Gay Rainbow Anarchist 🔻🌈 🅰️ (@_manin_black_) reported from Canberra, ACT

@joshgnosis They haven't told me ****. I'm an ex-Virgin customer & current Optus customer & I haven't received any email or text from Optus. Have I avoided having my data revealed or has Optus ****** up on this as well?

  • simoncha_n
Simon Chan (@simoncha_n) reported from Canberra, ACT

@somethingshort @LinkedInAU It’s about blaming your @Optus teammates for piss poor security efforts.

  • sandraom
Sandra O'Malley (@sandraom) reported from Canberra, ACT

@Optus I cancelled my Optus adsl connection at the end of January after significant problems and more than a week without service & now I’ve had my previous direct debit used to take funds out on 17 February. There is no end to the terrible service by optus.

  • Colincopeland2

Australians deserve answers on many things that concern Labor.. on your continuing lying your actions concerning Australia.. your misogyny.. your disgusting stance on women .. the aged .. veterans .. how you gift taxpayers money to overseas .. we Ned an audit on Gov’t actions.. on you ant the whole Labor party .. Anthony Albanese says the outage affecting Telstra’s national network was “deeply concerning”, claiming Australians were “entitled to answers” but that investigations were ongoing. “It’s very disruptive to people’s lives throughout the country. This is a national outage that has varied effects,” the Prime Minister told reporters in Brisbane. “The Triple-0 custodian is in constant contact with Telstra and with the emergency services, and investigations are underway at this stage. What Telstra have indicated to the government is that they don’t see this as being … malicious, but those investigations are underway.” Mr Albanese pointed to government measures crackind won on Australian telco’s in the wake of the Optus Triple-0 scandal claiming the government would continue to engage with Telstra over the outage. “We’ll continue to engage constructively. But I think people are entitled to get answers, but they also want answers that are accurate and those investigations are ongoing,” he said.

@JH_Otway_Ranges @FranMooMoo Hanlon’s Razor or whatever razor that states never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity. Optus staff literally left a URL public that was supposed to be private and someone stumbled on it.

  • TrooperOz
    Oz Trooper (@TrooperOz) reported

@jbulldogs4 Not really as its still ongoing. They told people to use a optus or vodafone device thats not Telstra. Thats some reliable service isnt it. Shouldn’t be happening but probably a overseas disgruntled workers!.

  • ajdlinux
    Andrew Donnellan (@ajdlinux) reported

@OperationalInc1 at a very minimum you should need both Telstra *and* Optus to go down, no?

  • carrygale
    carrygale (@carrygale) reported

@normboy562 It is not her fault that Telstra went down. It is not her fault that Optus went down a couple of years ago. It is her fault that she has done **** all in the years between those two outages to solve the problem of 000.

  • BiripiGuri
    Dim Sim (@BiripiGuri) reported

@JohnTheMaestro @Telstra No service australia wideThey are the qantas of communications in Aus. They own all infrastucture and lines, they just rent them out to Optus and other providers. Ive been telstra for 25 years, this is largest ive expereinced in that 25 years, not too bad.

  • Fisherking79
    dan 🤞 (@Fisherking79) reported

@jlandsme_93 The media in WA refuse to press Optus management over it. The drainage system there has issues all the time. The soil develops a slippery biofilm on it due to the **** drainage system

  • Antony_Clements
    A Wheelie Fungi M.Ci🚹♿ (@Antony_Clements) reported

@MikeCarlton01 @Telstra That would be vodafone followed by optus and then telstra. Before anyone comes after me, vodafone went down for several months in 2010/2011, optus had a data breach in 2022 that affected nearly 10 million customers. Telstra just inconvenienced people.

  • LaDolceVita_99
    SimonW (@LaDolceVita_99) reported

@simonbiddle @taipan168 As much as I defend funding government services, the notion that government run IT will be more reliable than Telstra/Optus is just not believable given the various IT issues we see on a constant basis from Centrelink and who can forget the debacle of the last Census
