@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

  • camo2572 💧Darren Camilleri (@camo2572) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

love @gilly381 but for Gilly to jump up and down and say MCG shouldnt have a guaranteed Boxing Day test in favour for his Optus Stadium in Perth yeah um Gilly half of all Kiwis live in WA for the mining jobs and yet you cant even fill up a day 1 1st test in a ANZAC clash #AUSvNZ

@DamoSC @Optus I’ve gotten nowhere with Chat. They just kept ignoring my requests & pasting the same apology messages. I’ve seen reports now that it was an Optus IT **** up that made the data public, so I’m definitely pushing them to cancel my contracts and waive the fees. Class action incoming

  • jodiehastweeted Jodie (@jodiehastweeted) reported

@Optus Why are Optus still telling us that no customers have been affected by this breach? I’ve seen multiple posts on Twitter and Facebook in the last half hour from people seeing issues with their credit cards as well as Facebook accounts impersonating them. This is very real!!

  • ArkinBarkin Arkin (@ArkinBarkin) reported

@SkyNewsAust Fair enough Labor would have said the same **** in opposition, in saying that what can a government do? It's up to optus to keep us informed and makesure it doesn't happen again not the government FFS.

@redruby17 @Optus Left optus about 4 years ago because of their appaling service and billing hopefully not caught up in this.I do know iv'e never given drivers licence or passport id to them nbi why they need that

  • FabianAus Fabian Stirling (@FabianAus) reported

@SquizzSTK What a stupid comment it is an Optus problem not the government. It is good to hear that the government is working with them to resolve the problem but the buck stops with Optus

  • manjusrii Belinda Barnet (@manjusrii) reported

The Optus CEO said we should take a “Team Australia” approach here. She’s right. We need stronger data privacy laws. We need companies to be accountable and *liable* for big damage if they make big mistakes.

  • DamianM Damian Maclennan (@DamianM) reported

He did the right thing, he went and found an email address on the main Optus website, and TOLD THEM they had an unsecured server with customer information on it.

  • Pezzamystic1 Pez (@Pezzamystic1) reported

@R_Chirgwin I think @Optus should stop selling products online and over the phone during this time. Sales and upgrades of products should be done instore only with photo ID to help prevent fraud @kbrspace

  • TrueBlueAussi19 TrueBlueAussie (@TrueBlueAussi19) reported

While I’m glad I’m not with Optus, my own ISP went down at 10pm last night. No mobile reception where I live either. Finally back online almost 24 hours later.

  • wheredidgogogo Anthony Gherghetta (@wheredidgogogo) reported

@manjusrii This is devastating for @Optus and so far they have done everything we want - they have owned the problem, notified customers and tried to minimise the scam damages. Compare that to the Government with the census, mygov, covid apps and whatever else crashes - always excuses
