@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong @kayosports Yeah I'm looking at other options. Very annoying as my net connection is fine and being Sony their motion handling is top notch. Nvidia Shield certainly looks like a great option. I had trouble with Kayo and now Optus Sport is buggy with its frame rate.

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong Ok so i jumped on the Nvidia Shield (non pro). At first glance it did exactly the same thing as before. Sony Bravia TV definately does have frame rate refresh issues by default. Downloaded a refresh rate app to refresh rate match Optus sport app...and bingo...frame skip gone.

@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

@hughriminton My sister was told “you know it was us who was hacked, right? We’re the victims here” from an @Optus store in Victoria Doesn’t even register for them the magnitude of stress placed on customers. It’s just poor me, poor me.

Of course it's terrible that Optus retained customer IDs (after a licence or passport number has been checked by DVS, it should be discarded). Nevertheless that response to #OptusHack is too narrow. It is frankly ridiculous that people depend on the secrecy of personal IDs.

@AnOldManStream1 Nothing is officially confirmed yet . Someone leaked from Optus that it was indeed a test server with real data on a network that had internet connectivity. The purported hacker claims it was directly exposed to the internet somehow. Minister’s comments would support the theory.

@GlennHampson @Optus If I were still a customer I’d insist on moving without any payout fees and insist that I wouldn’t be paying if they didn’t just let me out of the contract.

@joshgnosis Amaysim were an acquisition that have always used the Optus network rather than being a white label product so it's not a surprise their systems are still separate.

@hughriminton Received 'the email'. Have been a customer for more than 20 years. I'm off contract soon. Not really sure what to do though, as a #hack could happen to any organisation in a world where everything is digital... The lack of communication from #Optus is a major fail.

@Kerri_Guy @nadinevoncohen @Optus Same here. I think I’ve spent at least 7 hours on the chat the last few days still unable to get any help

@abc730 @arielbogle Online tenancy, rental and property management software is collecting more extensive personal data than Optus, including birth certificates, passports and personal histories. Let's hope they are doubling down on cyber security.

@theprojecttv Not customers fault, yet they are the ones doing all the leg work to fix the mess they caused and the owners of Optus not even communicating to anyone what is happening or how they will go about to fix the problem.
