@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong Ok so i jumped on the Nvidia Shield (non pro). At first glance it did exactly the same thing as before. Sony Bravia TV definately does have frame rate refresh issues by default. Downloaded a refresh rate app to refresh rate match Optus sport app...and bingo...frame skip gone.

If the .@Optus network wasn’t so bad and .@VodafoneAU wasn’t ridiculously panicked as to whether I can pay (because they made it clear they think I don’t make enough money), I’d be looking for a better network.

love @gilly381 but for Gilly to jump up and down and say MCG shouldnt have a guaranteed Boxing Day test in favour for his Optus Stadium in Perth yeah um Gilly half of all Kiwis live in WA for the mining jobs and yet you cant even fill up a day 1 1st test in a ANZAC clash #AUSvNZ

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong @kayosports Yeah I'm looking at other options. Very annoying as my net connection is fine and being Sony their motion handling is top notch. Nvidia Shield certainly looks like a great option. I had trouble with Kayo and now Optus Sport is buggy with its frame rate.

@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

The Optus data hack is hopefully a game changer in this country. Not only for the way they left the door wide open, but for unnecessary retention of past customer data. Pretty sure that’s a breach of the Privacy Act.

James (@wjafarrow) reported
@TMRQld @Optus Great, so basically no way to prevent a crime that could destroy my financial life and cause untold issues when that data is confirmed stolen through no fault of my own. So I need to be the victim of a crime... And this could be done with a few keystrokes. Why do I pay taxes?

@newscomauHQ O'Neill says “Responsibility for the security breach rests with Optus", well ******* I would've thought the responsibility rested with the hackers.

erik petersen (@erik_petersen) reported
@Jeremy_Kirk @latingle @ClareONeilMP Since the early 1970s, encryption has been used to protect sensitive information, so wtf is Optus doing storing drivers licence & passport info as plain text. A security audit would highlight this. Fix it by copying fields to encrypted values in less than a week. I wish!

I have been an Optus customer for 6 years. I keep hearing about emails being sent to Optus customers whose data has been compromised, but I haven’t received one. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing?
-
Veronica Le Nevez (@felixroni) reported
@CrankyGrandma55 @joshgnosis I was an Optus customer for years. They’ve always been this bad. Ditched them for a tassie owned and run broadband company and never looked back.
-
Mary-Anne VA (@MavaAU) reported
@joshgnosis Then that there is obviously part of the problem at Optus.

Marcus McIntyre ⏩ (@MarcusMMcIntyre) reported
So where is this hundreds of millions of dollars in fines for Optus @ClareONeilMP? Surely we're not morons with a low limited number right? For a major corporation who leaked around 40% of the Australian populations information? We're not that stupid right? #optus #optushack

Paul K (@paulipaulyk) reported
@Optus are you able to assist me with a query regarding the data breach? I don’t have a mobile account but I am a fetch customer.

Creatyr the Tiler (@mikebuttery) reported
@DamBusterPrest @manjusrii It’s not a cyberattack. Optus devs opened all the information up to the internet and it was scraped using sequential customer IDs. - Why no encryption? - Why no authorisation? - Why no hashed customer IDs? - Why was a test system using production database? Customer first - nah
