@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong Ok so i jumped on the Nvidia Shield (non pro). At first glance it did exactly the same thing as before. Sony Bravia TV definately does have frame rate refresh issues by default. Downloaded a refresh rate app to refresh rate match Optus sport app...and bingo...frame skip gone.

@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong @kayosports Yeah I'm looking at other options. Very annoying as my net connection is fine and being Sony their motion handling is top notch. Nvidia Shield certainly looks like a great option. I had trouble with Kayo and now Optus Sport is buggy with its frame rate.

If the .@Optus network wasn’t so bad and .@VodafoneAU wasn’t ridiculously panicked as to whether I can pay (because they made it clear they think I don’t make enough money), I’d be looking for a better network.

So from what I've read, the optus "hack" was actually an epic failure of optus connecting their customer DB to a test network with an unauthenticated API... Connected to the public facing internet. So there was no unauthorised access, and so no "hack", just optus incompetence.

@redruby17 @Optus I have a new passport acquired after my Optus agt. I believe a class action ( slater Gordon type ) needs to happen, anyone who can demonstrate being an optus customer and suffered ID theft should be able to claim against Optus. Re passport...at my age, this PP will outlive me.

@Optus Changed my login email address and password. They used my date of birth (which was leaked) to verify the new login details. Cool.

@Asher_Wolf @Bredgens @wheelswordsmith I msg Optus on their help platform - they have automated message saying there is delay in responding. Then they message 15min later repeating question and asking to confirm. Then they close the conversation when I don’t respond within a couple of minutes. Happened 2x already🙄

@redruby17 @pedroBigE @Optus Maybe the government should pay then since it was their surveillance machine that caused it. Its a pretty good con. The government makes everyone keeps data. When there is a breach, blame the companies for storing data. Get the public outraged at the company not the stupid law.

@agarner Why is customer's confidential information stored on an internet accessible data base? Once customer ID was established online as required by law, there's no reason I can think of for Optus to lawfully use this information further. Surely it should've been archived separately?

@redruby17 @Optus It just gets worse with Floptus. D/Licenses can't be replaced *until* you've been defrauded. Risk, much? Passport replacement costs are on the customer BUT Floptus won't answer re recompense. Credit report & security costs, time wasted - a full time week at least - for now.
