@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

@BreachAware I have been concerned about the big players like #optus for some time. The breach showed bot sloppy cyber practices and data retention issues. Hope others learn from this.

Optus boss Kelly Bayer Rosmarin has apologised to customers but is resisting calls to go. She had to go. Being paid...millions?....to avoid responsibility. She was well aware of this problem.

@Optus i have been unable recharge my phone from past 2 weeks . I have tried all your methods to recharge and spoken with umpteen number of staff; this terrible service with a no solution.Terrible service.

Before I get @‘d: I’m not blaming data retention policy for the Optus breach. It certainly didn’t help the situation though.

@macsween_prue @Optus Totally contradicted yourself in that in an earlier post it was Dan & Anastacia's fault. That said I do agree with you, Optus survives becz of its technology, so when their Cybersecurity is attacked that's a huge issue.

Hey @Optus wtf is going on, no call or contact on here from you, definitely don't expect me to pay this month's bill since this issue you had, you lied to me now this what a ******* joke

@MynoteTa @InsidersABC But consider: A single item of authentication has some convenience, but that single point can be convenient too, to crooks. Govts at present issue driver ID, but that Id has to be shared to be useful, and then suddenly Optus???? Multi-level ID checks look more safe at present.

@bok_ Thing is, it was @TurnbullMalcolm that said that and he is vaguely sensible and knowledgable! As we've seen with Optus they introduce these laws for "national security" or "catching baddies" - that never happens, but the collateral damage caused is huge.

The worst thing about the data breach at Optus isn’t what they got, it’s the boomers calling us worried that someone has all their info even though they’ve changed it all. My aunty just called worries about her passport. I said you can now change it for free

@alexspring @Optus They have an outage in our area but their TECHNICAL SUPPORT don't know about it. They told me to pay my bill which is 2 DAYS OVERDUE. Useless indeed. And not secure ... hello Telstra.
