If there's one silver lining after the recent Optus and Medibank hacks here in AU, then it's the fact that orgs seem to finally be putting a focus onto their security from the top down. Today I had another great workshop with a new customer to assess their overall #cloudsecurity.

  • cmplus_info Cory (@cmplus_info) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@3AWNeilMitchell scare mongering again on the @Optus data breach. Mitchell needs to be part of the solution and not the problem. Although it’s a nice reprieve from the constant @DanielAndrewsMP bashing.

  • maxblake44 Max Blake (@maxblake44) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

61K at Optus Stadium in Perth. No masks. **** you @DanielAndrewsMP 🖕. #AFLGF

@kaine177 Optus oval was built closer to MCG dimensions … that would play a part, but yes if you think back, they didn’t play well in the hubs last year either. It’s a shame … No Gaff doesn’t help … and our weather is shite compared to over there. It’s proper winter footy.

  • cmalietoabrown Christian Malietoa-Brown (@cmalietoabrown) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Optus has to have the most **** signal coverage in the whole world

  • mr_calabria tino mamone (@mr_calabria) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

  • corymedia Cory (@corymedia) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

If the .@Optus network wasn’t so bad and .@VodafoneAU wasn’t ridiculously panicked as to whether I can pay (because they made it clear they think I don’t make enough money), I’d be looking for a better network.

  • CRIPPStoniteSC Lincoln Beggs (@CRIPPStoniteSC) reported from Lara Lake, State of Victoria

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong Ok so i jumped on the Nvidia Shield (non pro). At first glance it did exactly the same thing as before. Sony Bravia TV definately does have frame rate refresh issues by default. Downloaded a refresh rate app to refresh rate match Optus sport app...and bingo...frame skip gone.

  • CRIPPStoniteSC Lincoln Beggs (@CRIPPStoniteSC) reported from Lara Lake, State of Victoria

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong @kayosports Yeah I'm looking at other options. Very annoying as my net connection is fine and being Sony their motion handling is top notch. Nvidia Shield certainly looks like a great option. I had trouble with Kayo and now Optus Sport is buggy with its frame rate.

love @gilly381 but for Gilly to jump up and down and say MCG shouldnt have a guaranteed Boxing Day test in favour for his Optus Stadium in Perth yeah um Gilly half of all Kiwis live in WA for the mining jobs and yet you cant even fill up a day 1 1st test in a ANZAC clash #AUSvNZ

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

@optus_help @foxgobrr @Optus I have been getting extra charges for using Optus data (which I am not using). I called on phone and online but your customer service people appear too simple minded to understand that I DO NOT USE OPTUS DATA! I watch Optus sports using data from another provider.

@alfi589 @gavin_laing Why? Presuming there’s an element of customer transfer from Optus baked into the deal (promo offers etc) they’ll do it easily. Not to mention the far more attractive proposition of one-stop shop for EPL and UCL. If they add 500k customers that’s $210m in annual revenue.

  • 1320_Race_Fan Adam Strong (@1320_Race_Fan) reported

@TicsVitsJacThic Worst we had was one of my wives super funds (had 2 not rolled over yet) wanted the original marriage certificate sent to them in the post, wouldn't accept a certified copy where pretty much everyone else did and should...ridiculous. Hope Optus is your last difficult one...

  • TicsVitsJacThic V ✨ (@TicsVitsJacThic) reported

consider my shock when ******* Optus of all places are making changing my name on my account so ******* painful. Service NSW? Breezy. ATO? Effortless. AEC? Not a worry. But Optus? They need your certificate, physical ID for both names, a vile of blood and my first born

  • InMy0p1n10n Opinions (@InMy0p1n10n) reported

Dolphins vs Knights in Perth drew a crowd of 10,000. Small in Rugby League terms, but this is after a double header at Optus and a sold out State of Origin match. Maybe there is more support for NRL in WA than we think… #NRL #nrldolphinsknights

**** you #optus I'm getting rid of you

  • ultimablackmage Jean-Paul Bartolomei (@ultimablackmage) reported

@GuyFawkesRetro I remember Cartoon Network on Optus Vision back in the mid to late 90s. So many Hanna Barbera classics played on there. The Cartoon Network originals were fine, but I enjoyed the Flintstones, Jetsons & Tom & Jerry more.
