If the .@Optus network wasn’t so bad and .@VodafoneAU wasn’t ridiculously panicked as to whether I can pay (because they made it clear they think I don’t make enough money), I’d be looking for a better network.

@Optus Hi Aman, I appreciate that but I was told that before when I was promised multiple phone calls that never eventuated. Never mind the FTTN service we are getting drops out constantly and isn’t as reliable as the previous DSL service at my old address.

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong @kayosports Yeah I'm looking at other options. Very annoying as my net connection is fine and being Sony their motion handling is top notch. Nvidia Shield certainly looks like a great option. I had trouble with Kayo and now Optus Sport is buggy with its frame rate.

@WhirlpoolFooty @trevorlong Ok so i jumped on the Nvidia Shield (non pro). At first glance it did exactly the same thing as before. Sony Bravia TV definately does have frame rate refresh issues by default. Downloaded a refresh rate app to refresh rate match Optus sport app...and bingo...frame skip gone.

vegan so therefore I am good at karate. There is no point the data has been lost. It’s gone and Optus has done nothing to provide a real solution to customers. Offering 12 months free subscription to Equifax or paying for replacement drivers license doesn’t change the fact the

@Raf_Epstein This is the thing - you can't mitigate this damage. I can't get a new date of birth or licence number and I shouldn't have to go through the hell of changing the name I was given at birth becuase Optus is incompetent. They should simply be liable for any identity theft losses.

@Raf_Epstein register to change your DOB. (it's a joke) I'm an Optus customer and caught up in this. What they have permitted to be done with our data is appalling.

Maybe I'm being stupid but the data breach with Optus only exposed stuff that is pretty much freely available anyway. Any time recently I've had to prove myself I've needed actual documents and photo ID.

@joshgnosis It actually reads more like a tech fail, and own-goal by Optus IT.

@KimWomenginet I'm so sorry. I really hope a class action is coming very soon and completely buries Optus as an organisation. I personally had bad dealings with Optus in the distant past and promised myself never to go back to them under any circumstances. To see so many suffer now is horrific.

@samishah @Optus I didn't say it was a perfect solution, but they've enabled anyone with all that data to impersonate you. How many points of ID do you need to identify yourself to your bank over the phone?
