@nicenuts @Itsrustyruss @Optus I can just imagine Deborah and Alan Boomer going in there and losing their **** at the poor staff who had zero to do with it. I feel sorry for the workers in retail. Retail is already a **** job, then you have this on top of it.

  • scousehelen Scouse Helen(Helen Drinoczky) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (@scousehelen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus The saga goes on. A 4+ hours wait up to now on the app and still no nearer to getting my question answered. 24/7 help advertised but no mention of how long the wait is!

  • karan_white_ Karan White 🌱 (@karan_white_) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I'm an @Optus customer, but not for much longer. Haven't had any additional comms beyond the initial email.

  • Stanleysmum1 Stanleysmum (Sharon) (@Stanleysmum1) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@somewherein84 Or insta! I saw a woman yesterday who blamed Dan for Penny Wong requesting Optus pay for the replacement passports etc 🤯I shouldn't have lowered myself to her level but I couldn't help myself

  • sitegeister John Ryan (@sitegeister) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Why should Optus pay fines? If you’re a customer, maybe retrospectively pay higher bills and ask for assurances and guarantee. They just did what any shareholder-driven multinational is actually tasked with doing.

  • Scruff_Edges Scruff_Around_the_Edges (@Scruff_Edges) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Wtf is a try guy and no I won't google it, I don't wanna be embarrassed in front of the Optus Hacker.

  • methylnick Nick Wong AU/MEL (@methylnick) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @AntoBeck @Optus Damn. I did not get this. 😭

  • casimugh crandle (@casimugh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Optus data hack reeks of a nerdy 14 year old that’s been banned from the PS4 so had to find entertainment elsewhere and accidentally got in trouble with his parents/the AFP

  • nick_komo Niko (@nick_komo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@MrXBob @Matt92644813 @9NewsMelb Hmm i would of thought CEOs on the big bucks had some influence into important decisions. Anyway you are getting a bit too aggressive for a non optus customer. So move on 🙋 #OptusHack

  • stirlospace 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚕𝚘.𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚌e (@stirlospace) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@OccupyMyGov Optus is already a pejorative here at Our House “oh no my phone has gone all optus’y” @infinitereality hopefully an actual isP or someone who can deploy a real network can take over once ACCC are done. False “5G” and “internet” ads 🤥 LYINN.

  • CostaLambrou Constantinos Lambrou (@CostaLambrou) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@cokeefe9 @Raf_Epstein @9NewsAUS They can do whatever they want, if I anybody is hacked it’s insurance issue between the bank and Optus

  • sbmcd Stephen McDonald (@sbmcd) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus #OptusDataBreach so my partner who was a customer with you in 2016 has been notified about the data breach, but I was a customer up to a year ago and still can’t find out if my data has been compromised.

  • tmwwthere Andrew Watson (@tmwwthere) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

10am yesterday @Optus told me over the phone that my info wasn’t caught up in the breach. By the end of the day I received an email saying my info has been breached. No way of trusting #optus - haven’t been a customer of theirs since 2018. @SlaterGordon bring on the class action

  • danielbowen Daniel Bowen (@danielbowen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I was an Optus broadband customer until 2019. No contact from them yet. Wondering if I’m safe or not.

  • rocky1622 Brian Humphries (@rocky1622) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@lynlinking @WgarNews L am glad not Optus customer

  • Brodhe B (@Brodhe) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

If you are, or if you hypothetically would have been, an Optus customer, how worried about the data breach are you?

  • mikjcal Mick (@mikjcal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Watching the news I was reminded how in May I was on a road trip through country Victoria. I was given **** cause my phone didn’t have signal, and I had to beg to hotspot for a bit. “Just go with Optus” one said - well, I’m glad I ignored that advice and stayed with Vodafone🤭

  • 2020digging Bo Reidler (@2020digging) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@abcnews Patterson reckons companies make errors? This is unadulterated negligence. @Optus has failed in their *legal* responsibility to keep their customers’ data safe. APP11. Penny pinching on security while dishing it out for incompetent executives is a recipe for disaster.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • DeathcoreAsHell DeathcoreAsHell (@DeathcoreAsHell) reported

@cc_johnnie @Optus Same problem still not working this morning

  • kaestarrx Kaeface (@kaestarrx) reported

@Optus It's not recent. It's been going on for months. Constantly upgrading towers and once they're "upgraded" my network is worse off. Not to mention I've spoken about this several times previously and I'm told the reception in my area is good. I can attest to it being terrible.

  • PeterDT82 Peter T (@PeterDT82) reported

@bazscott @VodafoneAU The app is rubbish. I've been fighting with Vodafone for 2.5 months because the app doesn't work - still no resolution. They don't care either. I also intend on switching to Optus.

  • kaestarrx Kaeface (@kaestarrx) reported

@Optus Just proving a point here. If the network doesn't improve, I'll not be renewing.

  • skimmmz Kim (@skimmmz) reported

@IKnewTwoMuch @Optus Hope it all gets fixed soon!! Worst time for internet to be down really... friday night - sat morning is legit prime time

  • ______bel_____ Bel Inda (@______bel_____) reported

I asked about how many other people they have had in with the same issues, and how they resolved it. The apple employee said he wasn’t sure what happened in those cases, they had to go back to @Optus to ask for a refund as they had purchased it on a plan from @Optus.

  • gkrit gkrit (@gkrit) reported

@MRobertsQLD Here’s something that may be of interest… wanted to purchase a new internet/phone plan with OPTUS and they said that we need to register a digital ID in order to do so. We gladly turned down the cheaper plan.

  • Bitcorn369 Aiming (@Bitcorn369) reported

@Optus my phone is on “SOS only”. Anyone experiencing the same problem??

  • badgingarra Badgingarra (@badgingarra) reported

@pappy90 @davidking34 said that the footy Freo play wouldn't stack up on that ground. Actually David, it made it even harder than Optus. And do something about your facilities down there, not up to standard

  • jeremygilroy Jeremy Gilroy (@jeremygilroy) reported

@lavosaurus I used to have the same problem - think I upgraded the Samsung tv software and it was sorted. Optus app working fine on it now.
