    @Optus it’s not a hacker job if you use real customer data in a sandbox connected to the internet. That is you ignoring risk and creating mayhem and identifies fraud possibilities for all of your customers. Just bizarre and incompetent. #OptusDataBreach

    Would not be fun times in Optus tech. I have some professional empathy:it is a potential nightmare for all companies & orgs these days. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. All can be hacked, by software or social engineering.. Austerity on IT doesn't help either! #optusHack

The **** is they have enough info on people to open fraudulent accounts and whose to say they won’t wait a year or 2 b4 doing it… we need to submit so much of our personal details nowadays that THIS just shouldn’t happen! I can see Optus facing law suits! 😡

    @DrKate_Miller @Optus The test network being connected to the internet is a really bad mistake they shouldn't have made. But this could have happened even without that mistake. At least Optus has notified us. One online shop I used got hacked and took 4 years to tell their customers.
