Scaredycat (@SamualWarngtm) reported@nadarnation @rossivision Optus stadium is far superior to Subi. Subi was hideous to get in and out of (both the oval itself and the suburb) , terrible design and horrid to watch football at. Camfield is right next door, Crown a short walk away and great facilities inside the stadium.

GibberishCapital (@GibberCapital) reported@ellensandell The data centres are built by Australian companies you utter imbecile. Do you have problem with data centres built by Goodman? NextDC? Used by Telstra? Optus? Vodafone? How are you such a ******* simpleton?

Emma’s Last Stand (@EmmasLastStand) reportedMillions of Australians may have had data accessed by “hackers” after Origin Energy confirmed it is investigating a cybersecurity incident. It could be one of the biggest “cyberattacks” Australia has faced following similar strikes on Optus, Medibank and Qantas. Most of the cyber “hacks” on Australian companies have actually been leaks due to incompetent, lazy IT staff—Origin received and email from the “hacker” but because said hacker didn’t reply to questions from Origin, the company pretended it didn’t happen until the hacker contacted the median. As I said, incompetent lazy IT staff.

Robot Cave (@RobotCaveCom) reportedOrbital robotics is quietly becoming a real commercial business, not a DARPA demo. Northrop's Mission Robotic Vehicle just launched on a Falcon 9 with two robotic arms and three detachable Mission Extension Pods. In 2027, it will autonomously dock with the Optus satellite at ~27,000 miles up and bolt on a pod to extend its life by 6 years. The Optus bird launched in 2009, designed for 15 years. It's not broken. It just needs propellant. That's the whole thesis here. The business model shift is what stands out. Operators buy and own the MEPs permanently attached to their spacecraft. That frees the MRV to keep servicing other vehicles, more like a mobile repair truck than a dedicated tug. Two MEVs have already delivered 10 years of combined life extension across three customers. The unit economics are starting to close. Autonomous proximity ops at GEO velocities, with no margin for error, is the hard part. Does the MRV's dual-arm approach give it enough dexterity to handle satellites it wasn't originally designed to service?
