@Optus Is actually the web page design that’s the issue- it references something that doesn’t exist on that page. I’ll try your advice. Maybe someone can have a look at the page to ensure it’s helpful… 🤔

@jaydeem Me too. A family members bank account was almost hacked, that card was linked to her Optus account. Luckily her bank shut it down and flagged it as fraud. They even told her it could be a result of the data breach apparently. Just crazy.

@anncherie49 @ellymelly So you’re saying the Aus Government’s never been hacked? & won’t be again in the future? Your argument that Optus/Medibank are private companies is invalid when the Govt has been a victim of data breaches itself.

@Optus your customer service and my whole experience of getting an updated phone was a colossal mess. I'm so angry you keep treating me this way.

@Optus Hi Robyn- not sure if you’ve read my message but I asked for a phone number that as a business customer I can call so that I can get my mobile phone number that I pay for WORKING! And I’d appreciate it that the person is on shore - oh and btw, I’ve been on hold 16mins

It really looks like if you are sitting on a big customer data set, you should be tearing down interfaces, and breaking connections and just raising a ruckus to keep that data safe. The fines Optus and Medibank will now pay would have paid a security and privacy team well.

@naveenjrazik @SBSNews Looks like I'm joining another class action. Optus, Medibank and every other corporate that holds onto all these personal details and allows them to be exposed to data breaches should be slammed with multi million dollar fines and customer compensation ensue.

Hi @electionsvic - sending SMS messages with clickable URL's in them to voters is probably a bad idea in the current climate (particularly post the Optus hack). It's bad practice and leads to unsafe behaviours.

@LuvsParraEels Fletcher who came to us from Optus, watered down data security and now we have been lied to over the worst data breach in Australia’s history until Medibank. See the connection. Fun fact Optus has a data security company in its portfolio.
