@toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

Why should the general taxpayers of Aus be expected to pay the replacement passport fees for those who lost their data through the Optus hacking. It is Optus problem not the public of the Country. If Optus was hacked Optus is responsible

@Samoskal @Optus It appears they don't have an up to date, comprehensive crisis management plan. Also what's obvious is their communications are being led by lawyers, which means they're barely communicating at all and when they do, it's all about risk management for them, not customer focused

@Gergyl Not just Optus have weak ICT. Consulting to @Telstra and their eCom LOLO was poorly performing. Wanted server upgrade, but I blamed code. Team uncoop, so logged into Oracle to pull stats (guessed admin pswd: "changeoninstall"). Cache miniscule, no stmt reuse. Took a year to fix.

@tanner_lian @Optus Agree with you 100%. Everything you said + passport numbers?? The problem at the moment is that we don't know if we've been affected or not.

@bentsolutionsau @ripcripz @jasonjordan It needs to be made VERY clear that Optus's management of PII is so poor, their actual API is returning information it shouldn't be returning. That part will be missed by all this. Anyone who continues to use Optus is at high risk of future events

Why on earth did @Optus have people’s drivers licence numbers in the first place? And medical records????? This isn’t a hacking problem. It’s a completely unnecessary data collection problem.

@mjrowland68 @BreakfastNews I’m still under contract with Optus for another 15 months, they did not keep their side of the deal by keeping my info safe, why should I keep my end of the deal. Also I moved recently to Optus because of the shocking service I had with Telstra. Can’t win

@Breezybaby1811 @noplaceforsheep Class action coming up. Get ready to subscribe, big multinational companies should not be allowed to inflict damage on Australians. Optus is owned by SingTel.
