@toninicho I am now, seriously, thinking of changing my carrier after years of being with Optus Problem is Telstra cost me a first full money last time I was with them and I dropped Vodaphone over their poor customer service.

  • I_Am_Lloyd_W I Am Lloyd W (@I_Am_Lloyd_W) reported from Cairns, State of Queensland

@Optus postcode 4870, your site doesnt show an outage my fetch tv's black screen sure does

  • Granville4879 Granville #AussieResister (@Granville4879) reported from Cairns, State of Queensland

@JohnCoo51013646 @call_me_tomasso @Leinster_Lad @lesleygood1 @Optus Ah yes, I well remember Telecom and the Post Office, both focused on the customer and delivering quality service.

  • Granville4879 Granville#AussieResister (@Granville4879) reported from Cairns, State of Queensland

@LesStonehouse @Optus There is, I think I remember correctly, a period of up to 48 hours where a new service replicates across a WAN (wide area network).

Just got an apologetic email from Optus informing me that they are sorry they fell victim to a cyber attack. Someone wasn’t doing their job! Some unknown entity now has my name, DOB, address, drivers license and passport numbers. This isn’t over by a long shot, WTF!

  • tomkavanaqh Tom Kavanagh ☁️ (@tomkavanaqh) reported

This is an authenticated request using my Optus login and I'm not able to access other customer data but it's still disappointing to see PII returned regardless.

  • nirowark Sperheoven Krispies (@nirowark) reported

@Karina_Melbs My personal info is all over the Dark Web but at least Optus still have their ****** service so that makes me warm and gooey on the inside.

  • brereton_sam Samson (@brereton_sam) reported

@WaLLy3K Optus tried to downplay it from the moment, then blamed it on some poor programmer. Dodge and shift at the earliest moment. When queried about exiting my contract and being credited, they're like "No, we won't but rest assured your financial info is safe, tee hee".

  • ChiefDisrupter Annie E 🚀Investing in social impact (@ChiefDisrupter) reported

@BridgeMuir So was Optus customer data de identified or not ? This is scary that they would not de identify personal data 🥹

  • Mephiston Mephiston (@Mephiston) reported

@redruby17 @itsmedeebs @kcarruthers Which is funny considering it was optus' fault that this happened in the first place. They left a test network publicly facing, which typically has less safeguards because they're filled with "dummy data" but they managed to get through to the actual live customer database

  • don_key56 JAMES LOOBY (@don_key56) reported

@CourtneyLee_33 @Optus Bad experience with Telstra years ago needed Ombudsman to sort them out never had a problem with Optus until this 💩 happens

  • redruby17 Dr Jos 🇦🇺🇫🇷🇱🇧💉💉💉💉 (@redruby17) reported

@andrewhall1350 @Optus I got one good person today- they knew exactly what I needed. Too bad I thought of another question after I finished that chat. I’ve had so many dodgy interactions. One agent insisted I visit a store instead

  • wends1958 WendyS (@wends1958) reported from Castlemaine, State of Victoria

@helphelpandhelp It's the fact that Optus KEPT all the personal info, even of ex-customers. WTF were they doing with licence and passport numbers well after the 100 point check had been done. WHY?

  • faey_lyn fæy ✧🌷 (@faey_lyn) reported

@Optus the previous virgin mobile customer, are they also affected with this optus hack?
