Powell's Other Glasses (Ausnotes) 🌸 (@ausnotes) reportedSo I was a customer of Optus some years back and of course had the breach notice... Now try getting Optus to delete your account information. It's quite a feat if you're successful. Probably part of the reason they have so many former customers is due to no deletion processes.

James Henstridge (@JamesHenstridge) reported@joshgnosis Exetel switched from Optus to Telstra's network about a year ago. I had to provide my license number again when activating the new SIM, so presumably they hadn't held on to that data from when I originally signed up. Hopefully they were validating ID with gov rather than Optus.

Dakota Curtis (@KodaJamesCurtis) reported@Optus I replied to Zac’a DM hours ago and he didn’t even help
-
GrumpyCat102 (@GCat102) reported@VictorDominello Lucky you @VictorDominello that your associated ID was not compromised. How about people that officially received email from Optus informing their ID has been compromised? NSW Service still have this round and round excuses not changing our Driver License Number. Not helping.
-
David Knowles (@DavidKn86972102) reported@joshgnosis personal identity artifacts of customers, the length of storage of such artifacts, with customers reporting theirs must have been held by Optus for many many years. If Optus end up having broken no rules, Australian authorities have been very negligent in regulation development.
