@Optus 5 days no NBN service and always get a reply from a bot that I will be directed to an expert but the “expert” apparently doesn’t know the answer.

@FUCKYOUBAKER Was with TPG but the modem was so bad. The one they provided kept on dropping, and when I bought a non-TPG modem, it still kept on disconnecting. Currently with Optus and have no issues

@Jane_L_Kennedy @Telstra And of course he believed it, afterall, the people at telstra told him the NBN called. 6 hours they kept him on the phone and ended up costing my dad $19,000. Absolutely ridiculous and when he called telstra, they didn't give a ****. Switched to optus. Safer /3

@jono_hayward Literally 6 MONTHS of the worst customer support in my life. Even now I've just been told that this router can't activate because their system is trying to sign me up for Fetch for a THIRD TIME. I'm losing my mind. Would not recommend Optus to anyone. Wait for Telstra.

@bazscott I just wrote a proxy for Kayo in Swift that let’s me watch it via any IPTV client. Actually works really damn well. Need to sort out support for widevine DRM and then I can do Optus Sport as well. Not sure what Stan supports yet.

Tried to join @Optus for mobile and NBN after they offered some “amazing service” and chasing them now for the switch from my previous provider. Taking 4ever and spoke to 4 different sales reps. Still waiting and I’m already tired of their “amazing” service.Any better to offers?

@FinancialReview Damages have been done. Many people now have revolving financial crimes emerging against their name. The Slow-Simmering Optus breech just being revealed isn't a good sign for customers who have been cyber-targetted & compromised,even if CEO became aware & was quick to announce.

@rick_rampal Pretty hard to here,most regional areas don't have any coverage accept Telstra. Because I go away working, I usually keep a Telstra prepaid going,just for when bush.Optus not bad around Cairns,but once up in the Gulf, forget it.

Ok! It’s official, I’m leaving @optus because after 20 years of loyalty, I’m being treated like an idiot when asking legitimate questions. I hate this so much. Where can I get 500GB of data, unlimited call and text for under $65 per month?

@Optus leak. I had a @PayID hack(could zero my entire savings in a couple of minutes) I managed to get it neutralized just in time- given the severity of this category if ID abuse I contacted @VicRoads to promptly zero my known leaked DL validity and issue a new one.

@twtrrr @GrogsGamut Systems (and the data it holds) can be breached regardless of whether it is hosted in onshore or not. Which data retention laws? The metadata retention laws that telcos had to comply with were part of the problem, but hardly the root cause for why Optus suffered the breach.

@ceagles40nil @Optus Because decryption. All the data you’re referring to needs to be retrieved in the clear at some time, so now you have both a key management problem and the remaining necessity to show the data in clear text.
