  • mralexdawson Alex Dawson (@mralexdawson) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Oh dear @FOXTEL_Help, You keep telling me my new apartment in the same building can’t be serviced. All I need is an engineer to connect a wire but forced to follow your internal email process. I mean it’s 2020. No issues with @Optus switch today. Worst customer service ever!

  • asteroidproject Damian Marley🚀 (@asteroidproject) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus you are just as bad. Tried connecting via you but you cancelled order 4 times, hence trying Telstra again.

  • ShortBlokeJosh Short Bloke Josh! (@ShortBlokeJosh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Sorry, my bad. It's from 2002. It's an optus advertising cardboard cut out from that year around the world cup...

  • Tony_3163 Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Disappointing that 5G not working this morning - two dropouts then stopped. Murrumbeena Tower.

  • j_foreigner jonnyforeigner (@j_foreigner) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Optus are currently paying ~$50m/year for the EPL streaming rights and charge $15/month to subscribers. Now not everyone pays that fee (I never have), but let’s assume that every mobile customer’s monthly bill has that subscription built in and funds go towards content

  • Tony_3163 Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Miscommunication, take the sim to be replaced, no don’t, we still need 3-5 working days to get reports. I asked “Is it acceptable for a customer to be without any Internet for up the 6 days” After a positive start, I’m wondering whether the @Optus wireless 5G was a error. /2

  • Tony_3163 Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Currently up to 75 hours without functioning home Internet through @optus Home Broadband 5G service. No resolution in sight.

  • Tony_3163 Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Thanks Aron, already escalated, but service is ...... underwhelming.

  • DavoGunner Davo (@DavoGunner) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Optus your buffering is very poor. Consistent buffering and delays. Seriously considering to cancel my long term contract. After 2-3 odd years nothing has changed. @OptusSport

  • lesposen lesposen (@lesposen) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

I’m about 1km south of an @Optus 5G service. I have no 3G/4G service I can rely on currently so have to use wifi calling. NBN or Optus router goes down weekly so I’m left on a desert island. iPhone 12 with 5G comes in November. Here’s hoping 5G will arrive by then #gamechanger

  • juleshughan Julia Hughan (@juleshughan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus Infrastructure issues. Good to know we are still being charged for videos that won’t render.

  • DeanRosario Dean Rosario (@DeanRosario) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ThatSkiMaskGuy Watched Rakuten a couple of times. Pretty poor quality. Final match when Ange won the title the server was overloaded so I couldn't get connection. Optus will also promote it with additional shows, interviews, etc. Optus have exceeded my expectations with EPL, UCL.

  • NavalGeekSingh Navaldeep Singh (@NavalGeekSingh) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

    @Optus is worst than the @reliancejio .

  • diliprao Dilip Rao (@diliprao) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@ipinky77 @Optus Customer delight is not that hard @optus - give frontline staff some leeway to make decisions but also enough tech training to solve beyond their structured piece of the puzzle. I could have been up in 24 hours rather than 216.

  • juleshughan Julia Hughan (@juleshughan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Just signed a 24 month contract. My @Optus coverage has been down for most of the day. Awesome $70 spent on service being down and false promises of data usage.

  • juleshughan Julia Hughan (@juleshughan) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Yep, @optus 4G Wirelesss down again.

  • Tony_3163 Tony (@Tony_3163) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

It seems like our @optus 5G has stop working today Waiting for 3-5 working days to hear about the next step in solving the issue seems .... not good.

  • stirlospace 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚕𝚘.𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚌𝚎 (@stirlospace) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@sandylanceley @CouchNish @MelbPTUser @melissakp @australian @Singtel They can not run a 3/4G network to save themselves and I cannot see why anyone still pays them / or why they’re in business. But I guess change is tricky for most. Getting off Optus was the best battery and speed boost I’ve had—like a new phone! 🤣 they’re shocking

  • sportpaul Paul Walsh (@sportpaul) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus and @NBN_Australia are a disgrace! WiFi is down, I was told to be home between 8-12 for a tech visit. 3 pm still no one. I call @optus ‘Oh yeah, probably won’t happen today!’ HOPELESS!! #optu5g #NBN #Christmas #wtfock #optusfail #lmreallypissed

  • _domchantal Domonique (@_domchantal) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@capt_collins21 @Optus I work there too and I, and others I work with are all having the same problem 😩

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • breakfast_dogs Dog's Breakfast (@breakfast_dogs) reported

@BelcrediMarie @agarner @Optus It's usually just relentless pressure to meet deadlines. Never seems time to set things up properly. But time/cost overheads really aren't that great. It's a manager's role because developers will avoid. No motivation because security features are invisible until breached.

  • GT_AUS Graeme T (he/him)💉x 4😷 - 🌳🌲🌴🌵 (@GT_AUS) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@aparachick @anna_prole @JustJul77588855 Can't speak for Aussie but TPG own network. Anybody know, do the piggyback players simply use Optus infrastructure but maintain client data on their own system/s.🤔🤔

  • McglinPatrick Patrick of Berkeley (@McglinPatrick) reported

@nineislands TPG have been ok. Telstra too expensive Optus service horrible

  • seriouslyenuff enuff (@seriouslyenuff) reported

@Bobbyliz58Robyn @saltyskin_ @Optus The issue isn't how you log in to. Optus, but what control of your identity they have just leaked away. And if the leaked info includes your secret questions/answers that would be really bad.

  • strongcuppatea darjeelingdarling (@strongcuppatea) reported

@nineislands Circles- it’ runs on the Optus network

  • Giddaychamp Gidday Champ (@Giddaychamp) reported

After 25 years as a loyal #Optus customer, putting up with the worst customer service, no brand loyalty to their own customers, no service in my suburban home, today for the first time ever, I have just purchased a #Telstra plan - Time to experience what a mobile plan is about

  • recneps51 Komrade (@recneps51) reported

@Optus I have lodged a complaint when you started charging me. I am going straight to Fair Trading.

  • modus_operandi5 Sans mon nom 🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴 (@modus_operandi5) reported

@AllBiteNoBark88 @Optus Same has happened here years ago while government was trying to attract pharmas (which they succeeded, Moderna is next door almost) turned out into clever errors. Next year after, a 5G$ which never figured in budget was created. Guess what it is. Cybersecurity ministry.

  • dazzlerrange steve beams (@dazzlerrange) reported

@RossFloate More a shoulder shrug than a response....* nervous #Optus customer

  • mellovesmusicau Mel Graham 🤘 (@mellovesmusicau) reported

@broncook76 @Optus I’m a former customer and still haven’t received anything from Optus. Their lack of communication is disgusting.
