  • jwdew jan willem (@jwdew) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus Again no service today. This is really getting annoying and not acceptable: it’s raining and my two kids want to watch their fav series and I gotta do some work.

  • MStevensonAU Muz (@MStevensonAU) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@athinscar @LULZmag @eddotse @AR15COM The block is ISP based. Voda, Telstra and Optus apparently couldn't stay in their lanes and act as service providers. They decided to be 'Proactive' and make decisions on content for Australians. Not a government mandated block, not even suggested - just over reaching.

  • Pfupajena Tanya (@Pfupajena) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus what the hell is wrong with you this is a ****** joke. I swear you better get your shit right. Just to get my wifi relocated I have to speak to 5 different people. This is bullshit

@JosephCarrozzi @fitba11 @tonyising @KevinAirs @MickLynch_Age @robvad10 @GuidoTresoldi @rdhinds A major issue has been the switching of O/S leagues TV rights from Foxtel to Optus. I don’t think this has been adequately explored as to losing the eyes of football supporters

  • LeanneCocolea73 Leanne Blake (@LeanneCocolea73) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

  • IsaacBwelsay Isaac (@IsaacBwelsay) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

One reason I switch to Optus from Vodafone was because Vodafone reception in my work toilets are shit. Also 80gb for $50 is not bad, way better than $70 35gb.

  • krp5975 Kiwi (@krp5975) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus i want esim is avalaible in store but service say they are bug it s shit in the store ...

@SContominas @Optus Finally got onto someone after 23 minutes - they transferred me and they hang up @Optus #fail

  • broni41 Jack Tar (@broni41) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

I would rather CP than the rest of the crap trying to sell useless products and services. Optus, Youi, and Real Insurance are but 3 that grate on my nerves.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • YUHeff2BSoGreen This Dalek's Workday 🇺🇦💉💉💉 (@YUHeff2BSoGreen) reported

optus should be offering a free 12 month sub to Equifax Protect for EVERY customer affected, even if they claim some haven't had their d/l, medicare or passport numbers breached.

  • Jillwrite Jill loves Jazz 🎶💧🌿🕯🌻 (@Jillwrite) reported

@ClareONeilMP FYI .@Optus as of today are telling customers to use Medicare cards as ID Meanwhile their app doesn’t work & their overseas ‘security experts’ are hanging up if they do not know an answer to polite Qs. One gent read out a customer name & address mistaking it as an #Optus store

  • bozwhite Boz (@bozwhite) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk Anything about Equifax service. Considering they had a data breach in 2017. Given that company is what the credit system being used for Optus custoners

  • Urchin_LMS citizen xx (au) (@Urchin_LMS) reported

@clarkjourno It appears to be the optus customer database that was breached Optus has previously stated that other non optus providers were not impacted. My "guess" is that if you aren't & have never been an @Optus customer your details should be safe

  • bentsolutionsau B.Tolputt (@bentsolutionsau) reported

@jasonjordan Define "hacked". I'm a coder by trade and from what I understand of this situation, Optus is indeed culpable. However, the legal definition of hack is "unauthorised access of a system or network". What occurred was unauthorised access

  • pure8100d Aussie Battler (@pure8100d) reported

@CKellyUAP I only got email today from Optus around 11am about theres been a breach, disgusting dispicable it's taken this long to be notified. Can't help but to question was this a flag event to push digital id, look at the last 3yrs if anything to go by

  • Billyme123456 Killy (@Billyme123456) reported

@9NewsAUS Optus will never be able to redeem themselves.

  • throau Jethro Rose (@throau) reported

@Veeteejay1 @danilic Given even dealing with Optus accounts over billing inquiries is so freaking difficult as a business customer I’m not surprised

  • clarkjourno Philippa Clark (@clarkjourno) reported

I haven’t seen it reported anywhere, but do we know whether the Optus hack also affects other providers that use the Optus network (like Amaysim)?

  • paulkniest Paul Kniest (@paulkniest) reported

@Loud_Lass LNP defending actions (or lack thereof) of Optus to try to protect @GladysB reputation. According to @PhillipCoorey Gladys was too busy saving the world to worry about small things like pork barrelling, conflicts of interest with secret lovers or security of customer info.
