@karenandrewsmp The problem is that Optus worked with an ex employee in the #LnP Government to excuse the company from implementing the security measures that would have prevented the breach. The only way to prevent this level of corruption is to punish it.

@recneps51 It's the only way to deal with Optus you have to threaten to go to the ombudsman before they take a complaint remotely seriously and do anything about the problem.

Everyone I see sharing their “you got hacked bad” Optus texts also has HUNDREDS of unread text messages. How?? How does anyone have maybe more than 5 unread texts?

@sallyrugg I haven't received any communication from @Optus whatsoever since this happened. Nothing to inform of the breach, no customer-wide apology, no updates, no text message, no email. Apart from my September bill...

@ZDNET @eileenscyu #2 Back in 2016, He even asked how that was possible, and I passed the information on the software and the log files. He requested to keep it between him & me only, to which I complied. He never replied to me when I demanded an apology from Optus.

@Optus why did I wait 8hrs for customer service to answer my chat in the app...only to be told to visit a store. I am only asking how to cancel our NBN. So your customer service staff now can't actually provide customer service
