@Cyclops_Trader @Optus Also, the ph was still in its box unused when the scammers emailed When I did set it up, took it up to hubby in bed, he hated the no home button. I took the sim card out & put back in his ph So iph 12 never used Vodafone needed a police report Too messy reporting, moved on

  • alaralopez Ana Lara (@alaralopez) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 tried to call the number in the email where I am notified I am one of those affected, connected to a call centre overseas instead of a supposed expert, and was the worst service I have ever had, hanged up as this was useless. Seems it is on us customers to figure things out

Hey @Optus Can you atleast reach out to those as well those who are not affected by recent hack. There have been so many advices to change driving license etc. Still my wife (who is Optus customer) hasn’t received any comms from your end whether she is part of one’s hacked or not!

  • devilscandidate Devil's Candidate (@devilscandidate) reported

If OPTUS isn't the 'villain', it's definitely the IDIOT.

  • PeteKax Peter Kakolyris (@PeteKax) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk If I was the Optus CEO I'd happily pay $50 mill to make this problem "disappear". That's small change in comparison to what it will cost Optus to rebuild brand and trust.

  • Ausnews_ Dolphin (@Ausnews_) reported

@jacklfoster IT WASN’T A HACK. OPTUS DIDN’T PUT A PASSWORD ON THEIR CUSTOMER LIST

  • kangarooted Fred O’Frog (@kangarooted) reported

@scottbrennan13 @MattRob88518961 @Optus Yes, I’ve heard that before from others. I vowed I’d never use Telstra personally again (except for business as often in regional areas for work) for taking customers for granted but I might be adding these jokers to my very long list of businesses to avoid!

  • wheelyweb Joe Ortenzi 🇨🇦 🇮🇹 🇦🇺 (@wheelyweb) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Hey @guardian : has anyone asked @optus if previous customer data has been deleted? I was once a customer maybe 8 years ago so no idea if they had my data.
