@newscomauHQ Is anyone in the media ever going to ask why we're expected to provide 100 points of ID to companies like Optus in the first place? You're getting data and a phone service, not opening a bank account

@ozspark1 @PORTABLEAIRSYD Maybe Optus did pay up but conveniently the scammers had chicken feet and decided to abandon the ransom claim due to too much heat on them. Makes perfect sense🤔 You can never admit to paying a ransom as that would create much bigger potential problems💡

@macsween_prue @Optus Even worse. While it's a good thing my family, as customers, haven't heard anything(means our info hasn't been hacked), as a customer it is appalling we have had zero contact from optus. Nothing.

@GossiTheDog People making a lot of the Optus leak, breach is inaccurate imo. Most the data was pii but kinda stale. No hashes, cc and they fixing the fraud risk stuff whereas T-Mobile did **** all. Le big meh for me.

@Optus hi Optus I am a long term customer and was a senior employee I have received one email from you 5 days ago. When do we get an update on whether I have been compromised. It seems a long time in terms of communication. Thank you
