The last official statement I got from @optus was they can’t delete ex-customer data for legal reasons. They didn’t however know what those reasons were or how they applied. Frustrating waste of the ombudsman’s time. Why don’t we just have a simple option to do this?

@sunriseon7 how about slamming medibank for having **** all security, you were quick to assassinate optus. I bet the govt made them collect all the info they do so too, just like they make telco's. the govt's plausible deniability

@redruby17 @katemarroquin @Optus Same here. Had a cancelled contract issue with Optus that I’d escalated after a faulty phone was returned with an unused SIM card. Then contacted to say my data had been breached, with specific ID targeted. After this, sent the end of contract bill! Worth a try I suppose Optus 🙄

@redruby17 @kathy_skidmore1 @Optus I use Aldi - they have an automatic recharge on their prepay so it functions like a plan, use Telstra lines so great regional /rural coverage, unlimited calls/texts and data plans that you can choose from to set your price. Ive never run out and am on the $25/month plan.

@Jeremy_Kirk @medibank @Optus Given the widespread recent pwnage of most Aussies, shouldn't the government just start over again and just issue new identities to *ALL* Australians? It's like y'all have an Australia Card ain't it? Oh wait...
