I wish companies like #optus would focus on their core business instead of virtue signalling and pushing woke nonsense. The Optus CEO must resign over the dismal manner in which they've handled customer data and the fallout. Let this be a wake up call for all Australian companies

  • krunchymoses Joel Hill (@krunchymoses) reported

The Optus data leak is bad, but @Telstra has linked several accounts to mine in my Telstra app and after several calls still haven't removed them. I've got control over other people's accounts in my app. I can see their bills and their details. I've asked Telstra to remove them

  • AlexLCMedia Alexander Liddington-Cox (@AlexLCMedia) reported

I got scam called by people claiming to be from the NBN and ACSC, claiming my IP address has been compromised. Seems too close to Optus to be a coincidence, but I haven't received any comms from the company. Anyone else had this problem?

  • SydneyEditor1 Verushka, an editor (@SydneyEditor1) reported

Hey @optus if its not too much trouble while you are letting hackers get my data you think i could get service outside of my house and wifi? I seem@to be paying you for the privlege of not getting any service these days

  • eitanlevin2 Eitan Levin (@eitanlevin2) reported

🧵 The @Optus issue is enormous, and the brand is now toasted. The hacking was one part of the issue; however, the failure of CEO leadership & Crisis PR 101 has been abysmal. Customers need to see what is being done from the get-go.

  • NotNickYesNick Nick C (@NotNickYesNick) reported

@slsandpet @Optus - make that two of us. Six years since I was a customer. WTAF are you doing with my information after all those years?

  • LiamPomfret Liam Pomfret, PhD (@LiamPomfret) reported

The situation around Optus’ data breach (don’t call it a “hack”, the API was open to the internet) just goes to show why #privacy is a #natsec issue. The solution isn’t more data sharing. We need stronger privacy protections, with real teeth for gross failures like this. #auspol

  • CPSUTas Proud to be Public | CPSU SPSFT (@CPSUTas) reported

Thank you to Service Tasmania and Registration & Licencing staff who are working hard to ensure Tasmanians are able to replace their licence and change their licence numbers after the major Optus data breach. #politas #proudtobepublic

  • chrisbellwrites Christine Bell (@chrisbellwrites) reported

@susanfranciswr1 @Optus It seems so. When did customers start having to jump through hoops to talk to a person to solve an issue? In these hi-tech days everything is so much slower and less efficient if it involves communication or interaction! I don't get it! xxx

  • AdyLady9969 Adylady 🌹 (@AdyLady9969) reported

Optus SUCKS! To downgrade my plan they asked for my drivers license, Medicare number, birth certificate and passport number. WTF! I've been with them for years! Dodgy AF!
