@ShiannonC Pretty sure if @karenandrewsmp discussed things with her colleague Paul Fletcher who was the previous comms minister and ex Optus employee, he may be able to give her an update on watered down security measures implement by the Morrison govt

  • Stanleysmum1 Stanleysmum (Sharon) (@Stanleysmum1) reported

@droverdriver61 I had an email saying I was but can't get any answers as to what particularly. Tried again today and was told by the (poor soul) on the other end of the chat not to worry that Optus were "onto it".

  • ronInBendigo Ron Dunn (@ronInBendigo) reported

@3AW693 That's silly. Optus is a good value service provider, it would be throwing out the baby with the bath water. This hack could have happened to anyone, and I doubt we've seen the last of its type. Their communication could be better, agree, but to wish their failure is stupid.

  • t_inker58 Tee 🌊🌹☮️❤️ (@t_inker58) reported

What to do if Optus has been made to pay for fresh passports; would this have to include overseas ones or were they never used as identification?

  • __KaraJohnson Kara Flynn (@__KaraJohnson) reported

Me wondering why ******** Services SA is so nuts then remembered the optus ****. Thanks optus, all I want to do is update my name but guess it'll be weeks neforw these lines die down. Fark

  • ravirockks Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported

If these actions merely get up (ie before trials are done), @asicmedia must seriously consider going after the Optus Board. I say that because, even if the class actions are settled/decided in favour of Optus, the reputational damage already done would be more than terrible.

  • biglenlittlelen biglenslittlelens (@biglenlittlelen) reported

@ServiceNSW @Optus And of course, the NSW is up there with making it hard to get a replacement licence. @Optus won’t reply to messages so I know if impacted and can’t do it in person at the service centre, another job well done! #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach

  • sagovau SA Government (@sagovau) reported

Service SA branches at Marion, Prospect and Elizabeth will remain open until 7pm tonight, 29 Sept.🕖 This is to provide customers affected by the recent Optus data breach greater opportunity to arrange a replacement driver’s licence. @ServiceSAOnline

  • cyberbogan1 cyberbogan (@cyberbogan1) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk It takes time to pull down that amount of data. Optus won't say how long the API was exposed for I suspect other groups accessed the API and have the data.

  • KenBuzzins Ken Buzzins ⚓ (@KenBuzzins) reported

@hughriminton @10NewsFirst The LNP would have paid Optus to think up a new idea how to tackle the problem.
