@redruby17 @Jeremy_Kirk It’s a terrible position in which to be and it could be anyone else tomorrow. But this was an entirely avoidable situation had Govt & Optus chosen wiser courses of action. Now they seek to sheet home the effects to customers & revictimise them. And that’s not on. #OptusDataBreach

  • jodadi_o Jodie Humphries (@jodadi_o) reported

@peteevansnot Damn I knew I shouldn't have put my lava lamp near my Optus router

  • feedmethearts paintergirl (@feedmethearts) reported

@cadickason64 @kpmsubs @ClareONeilMP OMG this happened to me about 3 years ago when I left Optus. I paid all outstanding bills and requested cancellation many times. They just kept charging even though we had engaged another telco. I kept screenshots of my text chats with Optus support 🧵1/2

  • helenthepainte1 helenthepainter (@helenthepainte1) reported

@Optus @RunnerSA18 Optus got me on hold ignoring my request to cancel my direct debit

  • BadCustSvc101 Aussie who is not a rhino (@BadCustSvc101) reported

@mjrowland68 And a side effect you might not have thought about: How many online services use the same email address you gave Optus as your login ID? How many of them have a "forgot password" link that texts a reset link to the phone number you gave Optus? Best change one or the other!

  • stephengentle Stephen Gentle (@stephengentle) reported

@ClareONeilMP Obviously Optus shares blame for terrible security, but we have to expect that breeches will continue to happen. It’s only when we massively limit what data companies are allowed to keep that we have any kind of safety. I like the saying “Data is the new asbestos”

  • Taniabanks24 T M B (@Taniabanks24) reported

@CommBank @cokeefe9 @9NewsAUS Wonder if Gladys is optus customer

  • shibby68 Sharon H 🇦🇺 (@shibby68) reported

@raylaurence1 I’ve had a couple of those in last few weeks and I’m not an Optus customer. That one could be a random text scam if you got it by text.

  • AEBayley AEB Voting Yes (@AEBayley) reported

@RonniSalt @Judith54Nunn @Optus D grade stuff will earn them a bigger class action as they continue to prove lack of customer care. Pretty shocked CEO so amateur. And guided by team who is lame n same

  • LizQLD58 Liz (@LizQLD58) reported

@Hugh_96 @Optus I got an email referring to me as a previous customer ......didn't know I had been one!!
