K•A•N•E (@kanethesaint) reported@Teh_Jkr @Optus Prepaid is the best option. No more need for greedy companies like Optus! One of the worst employers around after Telstra!

FreoLou⚓🤘🛫⚖️ (@FreoLou) reported@FreoPope @TheRealDoc4 @freodockers yeah, seeing a lot of complaints about getting in. Glad I stayed home. Regional footy is good and all but it would have been close to a sell out at Optus without the issues.

CC's Team Tactical's World View (@CCsTeamTactical) reported@TheLizVariant In Australia my isp optus said that due to my phone being old I would have to upgrade my phone as it would be disconnected when the new system is in place and that the phone would not be able to communicate with emergency services. So basically we are screwed !

The Trend Trader (@SixG369) reportedAI helped me save $270 a year tonight. Not by doing anything fancy. It just helped me survive the telco maze. The Optus bill started at $251.30/month. After a long support chat, it dropped to $228.80/month. That is $22.50/month saved. $270/year. The real win was not the discount. The real win was AI helping me: - Ask better questions - Check the maths - Avoid payout traps - Push past the first “best offer” - Get the final number confirmed in writing They first offered a small plan downgrade. Then we asked about loyalty. Then retention. Then the numbers did not add up. AI spotted the issue. One plan change had not actually been processed. So, we pushed again. Final result: Old bill: $251.30/month New bill: $228.80/month Yearly saving: $270 AI did not magically save me money. It just stopped me from giving up while the telco maze tried to win. Next target: Telstra internet.

Wayne Reardon (@WayneReardon) reported@hakluke About 20 years ago I was with Optus, and back then if you were late paying your bill Optus would disconnect your SIM so you couldn't even receive calls. To get it connected again you'd have to ring Optus and they'd tell you it would be back on within 4 hours. That never happened, so you'd have to ring them over and over again until it eventually got done. After wiaitng for over a week for my phone to be put back on and again being told it would be back on within 4 hours, I said "no, I'll wait on the phone with you until it's done. He then passed me to another team who enabled my SIM again while I was talking to him. Anyway, that night I noticed that when my Dad who has a private number rang me, it showed his phone number with a hash tag before and after the number. This happened with every private number and I realised that when my SIM was turned back on, something went wrong and I was able to see private numbers. It was the greatest thing ever! I would get telemarketers all the time who would abuse me when I'd tell them to stop ringing me, but now I had their number to call back. You should have heard how shocked the first one was when I rang him. I kept ringing him and he begged me to stop and kept asking "How did you get this number? I don't even know this number". That ended when that phone was stolen 2 years later, but it was great while it lasted. I've since had Optus tech employees in our pubs and ask them if they can do it, and they tell me that it's impossible, but I know it's not.

mark macca 🐅🐅🏆 (@mcdonellaussie) reported@Optus @alexblair_1 First thing I would check is Alex on Kayo or Foxtel? Everyone complains about Kayo I constantly have issues with Foxtel through the internet continuously buffering while my download speeds are in the 80s!

JoshAtticus (@joshatticus) reported@itsiclassic Waaaaaay harder, my Galaxy S21+ died after I tried replacing the battery myself, and my carrier Optus made it hell to replace my eSIM, I had to wait in a store for 2 hours, and the store couldn't even do anything so they just let me borrow their store phone to call support 😭

Ben (@Bens_Betting) reportedNorth vs West Coast Preview Not sure if anyone actually finds these useful, but here it is 👇 First things first, it’s North’s “home” game but at Optus Stadium. I can’t help but feel like WCE would be favourites if this was actually their home game? Happy to back the Eagles in at $2.75 on TAB. Hough tag: WCE are a good matchup for mids except for whoever cops the Hough tag. Keen to avoid Sheez & LDU this week because one of them will get it. Really like Kerch here playing as a midfielder. Should see plenty of it with the attention going elsewhere. Wardlaw the other one who shapes up as a nice matchup but I’m yet to see him really accumulate so I’m not as keen to play his overs. Happy to add him in a SGM for 15+ though. Defenders vs West Coast: WCE don’t actually concede that many disposals to opposition defenders, so I’m happy to leave Parker and Daniel alone in this one. Lines for them seem bang on. Big X needs help: Leaving big X alone here. Seems like a soft matchup vs WCE on the surface but he’s clearly not right with a very poor last 3 weeks and now requiring backup assistance from Goad. Would lean on the unders here if I had to, but probs leaving it alone given it’s already down at 16.5. North without FOS: On the flip side, North have been very restrictive for most of the season, except for their 2 blowouts vs Adelaide and Freo. Can’t see West Coast smashing North so I’m expecting North to be a bit restrictive. However, there’s also no FOS for North, so no heavy tags on WCE’s midfield. Makes it a hard one to gauge so I’ll be passing on the Eagles’ mids of Kelly & Reid. Defenders vs North: The area I do like here is unders for West Coast defenders. McCarthy & Ginbey out, Herbert & Lindsay in. Shouldn’t be too many positional changes, if any. I reckon Liam Baker and Josh Lindsay’s 19.5 lines are too high here and would be keen on their unders. Murdock, to tag or not to tag: Not sure if Murdock tags in this one. Don’t think they’d be too worried about Parker or Daniel, so I think Murdock might have the chance to win the ball himself again in this one. Don’t mind the o16.5 line for him. Goals vs North: Lastly, North’s backline is a rabble. Expecting West Coast to kick quite a few today. Liking Waterman 3+. Done it 5/L6 and now plays North. Only kicked 1 vs North in rd2 but North are in the second-leg of their WA stint. I’m expecting it to have its toll. SGM legs: Not overly keen on an SGM here but if I did, it would be something centred around Kerch 20+, Wardlaw 15+. Would be happy to add a very generous WCE alt handicap to boost the price here. WCE +30.5 perhaps?

Main Roads WA (@Perth_Traffic) reportedBEHIND THE SCENES Before, during and after every AFL match at Optus Stadium, the Main Roads’ events team work with many stakeholders to provide a safe passage for vehicle and foot traffic to and from the game. They do this by closing off certain roads, checking in with traffic management, the Real Time Traffic Operations Centre and the stadium events team to make sure all elements are in place and ready to play their part. If there are any issues that occur, they are first to reach out on communication channels to make sure it’s handled effectively and efficiently. Even down to the pointy end making sure no unauthorised vehicles are parked near areas that will affect the flow. #perthtraffic #optusstadium

Robert SpeedBird (@SpeedBirdEU) reported@AusSpaceAgency @raytracer_co @Optus I know Canadian teams capable of building this. They just never get the runway. Three years to live satellite ops is unthinkable at home.
