Optus Issues Reports Near Whitebridge, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Whitebridge and nearby locations:
  • ajhill_alan Alan Hill (@ajhill_alan) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@perthovalman @kevinperry @TheWorldGame @SBS @ALeague @premierleague @Craig_Foster @LucyZelic A cash-strapped FTA network does its best but has no hope of competing with Foxtel (itself scaling back football coverage in the face of its own financial woes) and Optus. I'd blame the government before pointing a finger at SBS.

  • SophiePearse Sophie Pearse (@SophiePearse) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

I’ve phoned @Optus customer service 3 days in a row and you’ve YET to rectify this issue, despite advising you have. This is incredibly poor form, deplorable in fact 😡

  • tmacca_1996 Thomas McKenna (@tmacca_1996) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Optus @7mate take your ads off appearing as every second one! I will never use your service due to this. Biggest pet peeve, waste of money on your marketing side #idiots #advertising

  • ReetuMutti Reetu Mutti (@ReetuMutti) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

.@TPG_Telecom Trying to port my TPG no from TPG’s Optus to Vodaphone network. Spent countless hrs calling helpdesk every day, talked to supervisiors, waited days for engineers to investigate. Been waiting 20 DAYS, still not working. This is ridiculous. Fix this!!

  • ev_91 Canceratops (@ev_91) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@ACMilanSydney @G73020484 I pay $20 a month for beINConnect and $15 for Optus Sport. I have rarely had issues with streams and Optus sport, overall package and highlights, is very good. ESPN+ package sounds amazing in the US, unfortunately not offered in Australia. Frustrating that I can’t watch Aleague

  • coolmccool coolmccool (@coolmccool) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

I'm getting same from #Optus - quality of the "high-speed" #NBN is shockingly bad.

  • pjlaurie Peter Laurie (@pjlaurie) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Optus Well done support person. As I predicted, you disabling my data stopped the chat session we were having to try and fix my service.

  • GroundsLloyd Lloyd Grounds (@GroundsLloyd) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@albericie @Telstra24x7 They are both pretty bad. Optus are however more responsive when you complain. Telstra have an escalation system which looks good but I found it mostly window dressing. Sadly, we have a 3rd world system.

  • CoutmanLauren Lauren (@CoutmanLauren) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

Ahh @Optus useless as per usual. Tried to get some information, but of course an unplanned outage. "Try again in 24 hrs." However, Roslin in live chat was pleasant to deal with. So there's a plus. There usually isn't any positive to be had.

  • simononeill87 Simon O'Neill (@simononeill87) reported

"We don't care how long you've been a loyal customer. New plans, higher cost, lower value. Screw you very much. Love, @optus" @Optus is the worst organisation i have ever dealt with on the phone. Time for a change I think.

  • xghosttypex xGHOSTTYPEx (@xghosttypex) reported

@Orda_CS @Telstra @iiNet @Optus Ive heard plenty of stories over the years of Australia getting less than adequate internet. I dunno why its such a problem.

  • chrismayer Chris Mayer (@chrismayer) reported

@Telstra Yep, no idea why and have just returned to Optus. Good luck keeping customers. No chance with this level of service. Identified 4 times nows. Online, Chat, In Store, Chat again. A joke. No information at any point.

  • RuthRavens Ravens (@RuthRavens) reported

@wxllys i’d try either optus, telstra or i’ve even heard dodo ain’t bad

  • SaronStacey stacey saron (@SaronStacey) reported

@Optus 10 days my phone has been sitting there in the assessment center with still no answers. Whyntell customer's allow 5 to 7 days. Not happy

  • bootrino bootrino (@bootrino) reported

@chrismayer @Telstra I went through the exact same thing with Optus a few years back. Eventually I called the executive assistant to the CEO and she really knew how to make things happen - within a day or two - problem solved.

  • AeroCross Mario Cuba (@AeroCross) reported

@sj26 @Telstra @VodafoneAU @Optus I am on Belong and they not only have data sharing, but they also have data gifting and they allow your monthly data leftover to carry over to the next month. It's a good deal. They're on the Telstra network, too.

  • Optus Optus (@Optus) reported

@moo_im_a_goat I do get what you're saying, Dan. The 5G Home Broadband service is only available in limited areas of selected suburbs on the Optus 5G Network. We also need to meet our 50Mbps satisfaction guarantee. That's one of the provisions outlined in your contract. Dan

  • jaydisc Jason Discount (@jaydisc) reported

Actually, at least with @Optus, this wasn’t such a bad idea as once you activate an eSIM by QR, you seemingly can’t add it again. It sort of gets cancelled after activation.

  • kosifantutti kosifantutti (@kosifantutti) reported

@Optus Project to TV via Airplay. It would just hang. But I could project to 6 year old AppleTV. Other apps on new AppleTV were working. Will try again tomorrow.
