  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@Telstra_news “Telstra operate the nation’s only 5G network”. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure @Optus has 5G too.

  • roseannebyrne 💧🌱pragmaticleftie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪💔 (@roseannebyrne) reported from Kiama, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse @Telstra @Optus Oh He's. It does seem older folk were totally neglected in all of this. No NBN no phone. Cutoffs before they were ready. Expectations they'd understand it all. Neighbour is nearly 90 and it's been awful trying to keep him connected. All on his own.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@blake_andersson @Telstra @Optus Go Boost Mobile! I’m with them. Same Telstra network, unlimited Apple Music, more data for less. Pre-paid.

  • cambuslangtrain John Roach (@cambuslangtrain) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Faithful to Telstra for 40 years despite our blind loyalty not being reciprocated in quality of service or pricing. Switched to Optus at NBN connection time some years back. Could not be happier with Optus!! Stuff Telstra "and all who ro(r)t in her!!"

  • petenowakowski Pete Nowakowski (@petenowakowski) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

@kirstinferguson @Optus My parents and I on Optus network. Mum got the txt, dad and I didn't.

  • iB3nji Ben (@iB3nji) reported from Wollongong, State of New South Wales

    @mrdanielfeo @Optus @Telstra Agree, 1.5Mbps is terrible.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • 48smijas Jason Smith (@48smijas) reported

@Optus In order for victims to protect themselves from your lack of security. They need to change their licence and passport numbers. To do this you need to provide the police incident number and or the cyber report receipt ASAP. I am one of those millions affected

  • Anaisabelle Ana Isabelle (@Anaisabelle) reported

Simple solution for Optus. Keep the data in Australia and not overseas. The CEO should resign. #OptusClassAction

  • miss_neko_nadi ꕥNekoꕥ (@miss_neko_nadi) reported

In IT when we have a P1 issue the effected get updated every 15min... I want an update every 15min with @Optus investigation... #Optus #OptusHack #OptusClassAction

  • Swineton Dave 🇦🇺 (@Swineton) reported

@CaraMia200 As I said before this type of thing was predicted over seven years ago when I worked for an IT company. This should never have happened and #Optus needs to take full responsibility. Oh and no they shouldn’t pay the random

  • jroper James Roper (@jroper) reported

@troyhunt If/when you eventually get a hold of this data, I have not been an Optus customer for 10 years. There's no reason why they should still have my PI, but it would be interesting to check their retention by seeing if my PI is in the data.

  • ISturup IStRup (@ISturup) reported

@ClareONeilMP @Sunny_Mezz no Clare, this is not just the responsibility of Optus this is a direct resulty of federal legislation that the previous govt put in place which at the time ALP voted for it they said it was a dogs breakfast and that they would fix once in govt what are you going to do to fix it?

  • Paul__Templeton Paul Templeton (@Paul__Templeton) reported

@ServiceNSW @RichardDroofus @Dom_Nguyen Thanx but the line is inundated. Has Optus given data to Service NSW as you state you are working with Optus?

  • CarlsCarla Carla JS (@CarlsCarla) reported

@VaperNt @Optus I’ve been inundated with 100s of phishing emails this week & an Optus customer. A coincidence? I think not. Still zero contact from Optus

  • EddyJokovich Eddy Jokovich (@EddyJokovich) reported

More bad takes from @GuardianAus. They report every accusation Dutton makes, whether true or not. Now doing it with Karen Andrews, all bluster, blaming Labor for Optus data breach. Any quality filtering going on on The Guardian, or just reporting whatever LNP says? #AUSPOL #qt

  • gippy_mike Mike (@gippy_mike) reported

@heidimur Nor should it, Heidi. We’re at risk of losing everything because of Optus’ total ineptitude at keeping our private details, well, private. I’m a former customer but my details from 6 years ago were stolen. All of them. I’ve spent half the day changing details on accounts.
