I'm an #Optus customer, so if a hacker now has my #Optus email address, all I have to do is change to Telstra, or other Server and voila...one problem is solved! 🙌🙌🙌

  • IEOKIITI1 ᴍɪᴄʜᴀᴇʟ ʙʀᴏᴄᴋ - ꜰɪʟʟᴜᴍ ᴄʀɪᴛɪᴄ (@IEOKIITI1) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@SgtButane @Adrian_Poly shirley wfh doesn’t explain stadia such as optus… timing and location make it pretty difficult to ‘saunter down after work’

  • anthonyspiteri anthonyspiteri.net (@anthonyspiteri) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@drzax What is the suggestion then? All I’m seeing is the media looking to crucify @Optus for… yes a serious incident, but one that happens almost weekly in terms of big breaches.

  • BobPinder Bob Pinder (@BobPinder) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@manthatcooks Give up, if it’s Optus you’re wishing to use then switch to @amaysim go buy a $2 starter sim, follow the instructions and 30 minutes later you’ll be up and running. Better value, fantastic support and, what’s stopping you?

  • lainieaquietoz Lainie (@lainieaquietoz) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Mellie747 @rogueytwinkles I'm an ex customer so no account. I was with Virgin before Optus took them over. Guess I'll just have to wait

@Websta_Black That’s weird, your wireless network isn’t dependent on your internet connection, unless Optus have done something incredibly stupid with your router ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • benthien_tara Tara Wright (@benthien_tara) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@prairiegirl0028 Optus is like that right at the top. All open and freezing from the wind. Glad I'm down closer to the action now. Not sure we'll remain dry tomorrow night though in new seats. Unless of course it doesn't rain.

If I told you me and @KGthaComedian we're hanging upside down from the roof of the Optus Stadium, would you believe me?

  • webprofusion Christopher Cook (@webprofusion) reported from Westfield, State of Western Australia

@Optus @iheartguitar If you're interested in alternatives @VodafoneAU had been great especially with their 4G backup, so even if NBN goes down the connection still works. Nowadays internet isn't a luxury, it's livelihood and companies need to step up their game to match.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Jeremy_Kirk Jeremy Kirk (@Jeremy_Kirk) reported

When Australia's @medibank insurer said on Monday it stopped the "precursors" to a ransomware attack, I didn't think it was going to turn into a hold-my-beer incident vis-à-vis the @Optus breach but unfortunately that's where we're at today. Just awful news. #auspol #infosec

  • liuliang3385 Leo L (@liuliang3385) reported

@7NewsMelbourne @jodilee_7 Luckily, I am a loyal customer of both Optus and Medibank.

  • TheSaltminer Haa! After ten thousand years we're free! (@TheSaltminer) reported

@BrentHodgson @Nicolette_Boele That wouldn’t be the same Paul Fletcher who, as Communications Minister in 2019, oversaw Optus getting permission to sidestep all those burdensome and onerous encryption requirements for customer data, was it?

  • garden_naoms Garden Naoms (@garden_naoms) reported

...a couple of hang-ups from Optus, as well as some BS about "oh your account wasn't compromised", and "we see no record of you speaking to us about passport replacement due to the breach". Anyway, long story short, buddy lodged an official complaint which has 30 days to be.../?

  • PeterCo30675183 Peter Coleman (@PeterCo30675183) reported

@PaulFletcherMP @NSWJBD @ECAJewry Rack off Paul if you think this you are a bigger idiot than we all first thought. Maybe you should worry about the Optus customers you exposed to great loss

  • haruki_zaemon Simon Harris (@haruki_zaemon) reported

    @l_messerschmidt @Optus @Telstra $300pp isn’t bad. That’s about the same as I’m currently paying anyway.

  • julieptorres21 Juls Torres (@julieptorres21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus The fault persists for more than 2 hours in the NBN service.

  • julieptorres21 Juls Torres (@julieptorres21) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

What's up with @Optus? NO SERVICE AGAIN! 😡

  • Karina_Melbs PolarK_💉💉💉💉😷 (@Karina_Melbs) reported

@chickensbees And the only reason I even knew is I got a ****** email from work saying I was avoiding calls. I've got nothing showing in missed calls and voicemail has never worked during DND (no idea why - think that's an optus thing).

  • JacMay19 Jac (@JacMay19) reported

@Optus Hey Tam. I am getting nowhere with you. You could simply call me. How hard is it for a communication company to talk to a customer?
