Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • AlexDunnin alex dunnin (@AlexDunnin) reported

Optus’ bumbling handling of its data breach, pushing the govt to play hard ball in response, sends a pretty clear signal regarding what are the expected standards corporates are meant to meet and how new legislation will be framed. Financial companies are now on notice.

  • midgeymay 🌼Emily-May🌼 (@midgeymay) reported

Wouldn't be surprised if the #Optus hack occurred earlier than discovered/reported. I had my Centrelink account hacked recently but we never traced back to how my information was stolen at the time.

  • LNPvoterfail Never vote LNP... NEVER. (@LNPvoterfail) reported

****. I need a new passport. Mine has expired. Is it too late to switch to Optus?

  • IntBystand Interested Bystander (@IntBystand) reported

Hey, @Optus, are you now ignoring all Qs from affected punters such as mine? What a massive CR fail, not to mention the catastrophic tech breach which caused this #OptusDataBreach #auspol

  • xnailbunnyx HotDog Water (@xnailbunnyx) reported

@eberhardzz @Optus they have so many managers & executives, surely they could help out on the phones

  • cynicalterrier Rose Black (@cynicalterrier) reported

@domknight @Optus Totally agree. Half the time the verification systems fail anyway, even when medicare numbers are spot on. I work with homeless people and spend hours trying to hook up phones for people, only to have the i.d. verfication fail, A LOT, for no obvious reason.

  • aussiekerstin Kersti (@aussiekerstin) reported

@ownedbyhoundies @droverdriver61 Another example of excellent Optus customer service?

  • SamTrevor380 Sam Trevor (@SamTrevor380) reported

@domknight @Optus I haven’t been an Optus customer for two and a half years. So I was appalled to get the email. Why were they storing the data of people no longer their customers?

  • Jeremy_Morton_ Jeremy Morton 🌾🐑🚜🐂 (@Jeremy_Morton_) reported

@KristianBonetti @Henry4PM It appears Optus didn't have a particularly secure system so that's down to them. They aren't the 1st & won't be the last. 2 factor identification provides some comfort, can it be hacked? IDK but once you're in a system making changes is very easy. The modern world is complex.

  • greyzane007 greyzane007 (@greyzane007) reported

@SquizzSTK So why didn't this OPTUS issue happen across all telco's
