  • nathan_warner Nathan Warner 🇨🇦🇦🇺🚑🚒 (@nathan_warner) reported from Darwin, Northern Territory

I’m sitting inside an @Optus store on my phone on hold waiting for #Optus to answer me cause the people in the store can’t simply cancel an old data plan for me... Top notch cuteromer service. 😐 #Darwin

@TorSamundsett Yes, BUT they didn't need to keep them longer than 2 years, but they did - we know why. BTW other telcos and many, many other businesses have this sort of data but have invested in good security. Optus' security has been an known issue for those in the industry for YEARS

  • Zoppy_McZop Zoppy McZop (Paul) 4x 💉 (@Zoppy_McZop) reported

@NiKKi_E13 @dancer_61 @Nick56412479 I haven’t been a customer of Optus for around 18 months and still they had my data stored and now hacked. Not happy

  • SWF_946 SWF_946 (@SWF_946) reported

@9NewsSyd The PR campaign isn't going to work @optus. As a customer service organisation there is nothing worse than NOT looking after their customers. * Recent communication - No * Offers for help & support - No * Compensation - No * Still want to be a Customer - NO #optusfail

  • Miguel224512091 Miguel (@Miguel224512091) reported

@Optus Thank you Medina. I’m certainly not shooting the messenger but if I was her being an Optus customer I’d be more concerned about my details being on the dark web than 2 days of no service. Thanks.

  • jeremydyancey Jeremy (@jeremydyancey) reported

...have major brand damage for years to come. But let's not forget that Optus is the 2nd largest telco in Australia - an underdog to Telstra that paved the way for a more competitive market and greater choice for consumers...

  • candersonAAS Christopher Anderson (@candersonAAS) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

I am an @Optus customer. I have had no proactive communication from the company yet found out this morning that my debit card has been subject to fraud. Coincidence or #OptusHack ?

  • Johnmanser12 John manser (@Johnmanser12) reported

@Optus have been trying to cancel my nbn service since Friday 30th September but cannot get through to anyone on on both the app or phone! Have your call centres also been hacked or did someone leave the phone off the hook. Pleas advise how I can cancel my service?

  • talkingcross Salt and Light (@talkingcross) reported

So I got that dreaded email from OPTUS. So should I go forward and cancel my passport? I’m already taking precautions and cancelling my debit cards and getting a new Medicare number.

  • Miguel224512091 Miguel (@Miguel224512091) reported

I've been trying to contact a friend who is going though a difficult time. She lives in central Queensland. She has had no phone service for 2 days because @Optus has been down for 2 days in her area, people need to dump this carrier, as if there data breach isn't bad enough.

  • shanksponi Shanks Pony (@shanksponi) reported

@JennaPrice Not having a bank, Google, Apple, Visa or Mastercard a party to every transaction I makem Having the ability to pay when systems invariably go down (see the 2019 bushifres for example). And surely the Optus hack ought to make people wary of going entirely cashless.
