    Millions of Australians may have had data accessed by “hackers” after Origin Energy confirmed it is investigating a cybersecurity incident. It could be one of the biggest “cyberattacks” Australia has faced following similar strikes on Optus, Medibank and Qantas. Most of the cyber “hacks” on Australian companies have actually been leaks due to incompetent, lazy IT staff—Origin received and email from the “hacker” but because said hacker didn’t reply to questions from Origin, the company pretended it didn’t happen until the hacker contacted the median. As I said, incompetent lazy IT staff.

    Origin Energy just had 900,000 customers' data breached, joining Optus, Medibank, Qantas and DP World. We treat each as a one-off. A pattern this long stops being bad luck and starts being the cost of collecting data you can't protect. #CyberSecurity #DataBreach

    @karavas_alex Nah - not playing at the G becomes a bigger myth. Some clubs don’t play at Optus in a season but maybe expected to play a final there. It’s just a mind set, the more it gets talked about, the bigger the issue , we’ll be fine
