@Optus Hey there. My mobile service has died completely. Is there any known issues going on? Waiting 15mins for an agent on live chat suggests maybe there is but not sure.

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than a week!! No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just damn amazing service! @Telstra 6 weeks of bullshit text messages vs 1 week and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • etredoo D (@etredoo) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@optus HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU for being the provider that got our NBN installed in less than 2 weeks. No text messages back and forth for 6 weeks just amazing service! @Telstra you need to take a leaf out of their book 6 weeks of bullshit vs 2 weeks and NBN installed #yesoptus

  • _rigormoris_ eggs fan page (@_rigormoris_) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@rab_s It’s so ******* annoying they ALWAYS get the first attempt wrong to a business and it only arrives successfully after optus email them letting them know the business name and floor. How ******** don’t they have a work around for this yet? it’s incredible

  • BorisOsery Boris Osery (@BorisOsery) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus Your stupid sales assistant says she’ll give feedback, & no I’m not fkn patient cos I can’t make outgoing calls cos you fkn idiots don’t live up to your promises.....simple as that💪🏿

  • BorisOsery Boris Osery (@BorisOsery) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@OptusNewsRoom I ordered a SIM card online on the 25/09/20. The Optus site says 3/5 business days delivery time. Optus can you tell me should your advertising be 30/50 business days delivery?? It’s the 12/10/20??? 🤬 WTF

  • Flansq Twenny-Juanita. (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@ch1ch01 @Optus Yeah. I reported as well — and also raised it in live chat. Spoke with another person on Optus here and they also have the same issue (actually said it’s regular at this location)

  • TimmyfromOz888 Timmy (@TimmyfromOz888) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@sandyhunter2 @Apple I would just say the Optus Sim hasn’t “engaged” yet ... I know sounds stupid but try the ol “turn off turn on” trick

  • laciheiter Laszlo Heiter (@laciheiter) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus and @NBN_Australia your network is shocking. I don’t think there’s been a day since Christmas that we’ve had a full day without network outage and connection dropping to the level where the internet just can’t be used. Seriously, just unacceptable for the price we pay. 😡

  • ITrustLabor Dirk (@ITrustLabor) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus We seem to have an outage in the 4506 postcode.

  • NigelBell19 💧Nigel Bell (@NigelBell19) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Greybeard3 @JohnBirmingham @Optus I didn't go to TPG but I did leave Optus. I twice had to call to cancel, going through the whole process twice. But, for over a year now, Optus still sends me monthly invoices that (a) state that I have a 9 cent credit & (b) the 9 cents is zeroed off at the end of each invoice.

  • MonBLeaves Monica Bradley (@MonBLeaves) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@ConniePaul2018 @EnolaGrae @CNN What about the families of 100,000 Covid deaths from #Optus incompetence. Grow up you elected a guy with the temperament of a 5 year old WTF

  • mr_mouse Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus is the a known issue with Fetch streaming? I’m on Optus NBN and have no issues with any other internet/streaming services. Streamed channels not reliable, on demand (e.g. BBC catch-up) not working at all. Done soft reset, still broken.

  • blake_andersson Blake (@blake_andersson) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

After putting it off for months, walked into Optus and sorted the issues with my plan, got a better deal and a 12Pro. Procrastiwin?

  • JoGierke Jo (@JoGierke) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus so we are now into week 3 of no service to my Apple Watch and no idea when this will be fixed even though I have had a tech unpair my watch many times, many attempts and trips to the store and 2 new sims... what’s the plan @Optus move back to @VodafoneAU

  • duttonkona andrew dutton (@duttonkona) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Been 2 days without NBN in Mansfield qld. Silence from @optus but they confirm there is an outage.

  • itsOnlykhem ThatGirl (@itsOnlykhem) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

Wth @Optus! What is up with the service today. It’s been lagging all day and it’s driving me insane. FIX IT!

  • damienpbuckley Damien Buckley (@damienpbuckley) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@simonswiss @Optus Switch to Telstra mate. I know everyone loves to hate them but you can’t beat their mobile network

  • Flansq Twenny-Juanita. (@Flansq) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@ch1ch01 @Optus The issue resolved itself once I left that immediate area but had to get a few towers away first.

  • mr_mouse Mr. Mouse (@mr_mouse) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@Optus I’ve done all the checks. IView, etc. all work fine on the Fetch box. It’s the streaming channels that take ages to start and give streaming errors. Catch-up like BBC First are really bad and often fail to start a show, showing a streaming error. Looks like Fetch service prob.

Optus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • adamstaplesb40 Adam Staples (@adamstaplesb40) reported

@Optus suggests using @VicRoads website to submit a block on yr driving licence if it was in the data breach. Mmmm don’t think so…that’s how this trouble started in the first place. #OptusHack #OptusDataBreach

  • noreasonspec The Guybrush Chocobo (@noreasonspec) reported

Apparently @Optus is not giving equifax codes to former customers people are saying. You are a garbage company just making garbage even worse. Do you understand what PR is? just stupidity day after day right now from these muppets.

  • McglinPatrick Patrick of Berkeley (@McglinPatrick) reported

@Breezybaby1811 @noplaceforsheep I took Optus complaint to the Ombudsman a few years ago. Hopefully Optus deleted me as I did them. Oh yes I got my money back.

  • rivkhali5 fine&mental (@rivkhali5) reported

@StGeorgeBank I'm a customer of 30yrs who is affected by Optus data breach. Just spent 35 mins I don't have being put on & off hold by yr person who had no idea when I asked for a Security Keyword for my acct. I hung up without being helped. Disgusted.

  • t0mmy44 Thomas Hammond (@t0mmy44) reported

@troyhunt @pantsofpie It really should, but I think you should reconsider loading in the 10k records - it's the fastest way for people to see if they're fully exposed. Optus comms are slow and unclear on details. You can probably put a sticky notice up explaining that it's not the full breach

  • SeleneD_says Selene (@SeleneD_says) reported

@Jeremy_Kirk Optus only told me yesterday 27/9/22 that as a former customer some of my personal information was accessed as part of the #OptusHack. Why has it taken so long for them to notify me?

  • brodders17 Brodders 17 (@brodders17) reported

@freyalogann I did. The “but” sucks. You can have a point about how much personal info share online and not undermine people’s concerns about the Optus breach at the same time.

  • Coachable_ RG Coachable (@Coachable_) reported

@Optus i know you are dealing with damage control on the hack thing but like can i get some human support regarding my internet. That would be great.

  • MAndrewWaugh Andrew Waugh (@MAndrewWaugh) reported

@railmaps @danielbowen The whole sorry saga is highlighting the incompetence of most journalists in reporting tech stories (& most ***** govt & commerce stories involve tech). Little mention that Optus only had the really bad PII due to Federal govt policy - introduced with bipartesan support...

  • KerrAvon12 HRH Kerr Avon II, Monarch of My Domain. (@KerrAvon12) reported

@noplaceforsheep Federal government should be paying because they caused the problem by requiring 100 points of ID to get a ******* telephone service! Just wait, it won't be just Optus.
