  @TweetTreet @tim_blee That's bullshit, devices EFTPOS and similar devices that run on 4G/5G can use other networks, and a bit of business continuity planning would have a backup network, even for a small business, like running down to Officeworks and buying an OPTUS prepaid SIM.

  @heidimur In WA Transporth uses Fibre that runs thought every station and Private Wireless (LTE/4.9G): Transperth doesn't use Telstra or Optus for train-to-ground data. They built a custom, secure wireless network with 160+ dedicated radio masts along the tracks using licensed spectrum.

Did you get an email with additional instructions for downloading your eSIM? Alternatively, have you tried logging in to your My Optus app and going to Account > SIM Management > Activate eSIM and follow the prompts.   Update 2: Helped to log into messaging (good). Now I discover the complaint is filed under 'a credit default' - wtf! Called to review plan and get new phone. I'm back to the person that said 'no' this morning. Would be funny if it wasn't so utterly infuriating...@Optus
