And further update, Telstra said they thought it wasn't their cable after all and told me to ring the NBN instead. I did, they came out within 30 mins and fixed it as it was an emergency. Could've told me that 18 hrs earlier when I first reported it to Telstra.

@NBN_Australia we've got no service, neither does the neighbour. We're with different providers, the only thing in common is #NBN. Your status detector says nothing is wrong, but clearly it is. What's going on in Cremorne?!

@2thxbdzbgy Not much faith in Australian policymakers when it comes to tech policy. - Stephen Conroy's internet filter - Turnbull's NBN debacle - even Afterpay seems like a result of poor policy Hope I'm wrong, but it's such a rent-seeking culture that no doubt vested interests prevail
