ALL 3 of these had the exact same problem. Contractors, with little Govt oversight, rorting the system for their own gain. Public servants writing 💩 contracts

This only works in a production line environment where the fixed costs are spread over a higher volume produced. Infrastructure increase as the demand goes up. More people more lines, more nodes more exchanges, more costs. Its not fixed.

Scarab (@ScarabOfficial) reportedWow... #Starlink have dropped their price to around 1/10th of what it was, to try to attract customers in Australia, who are mainly, of course, on the #NBN. And for the first four months it's even cheaper than that, during their current promotion. Just a shame it's so slow.

I'm 1.5km by road from my exchange and yet everyone here has ****** wireless NBN, which manages to be both more expensive and slower than Starlink, with somehow higher pings than sending a signal to space and back. Everyone has Starlink here now.

Carmel Fay (@CarmelFay) reported@robb_j_m Starlink. A satellite connection through the NBN in our rural area was a bit of a nightmare. Starlink is reliable, no limits on usage, and we never get throttled. I'll never go back.

anthony, underclass prole cat, edwards (@anthony45052793) reported@un1v3rs3135 @robb_j_m i'm on slightly more expensive starlink plan, rural village, get 240 mbps down and much faster uploads than fixed wireless nbn for just $9 a month more than i paid for the unstable NBN. has dropped out once for 7 mins in very heavy rain over the last 5 months.
