  @NBN_Australia maintenance in my area to improve network. OK fair enough, I'll just work using mobile data for a few hours. Checking the maintenance window ... 7 days! I'm sure my bill will reflect this fact /sarcasm

  @desmondbratcat @nbn @Starlink In a sense its not the ISPs fault, its the NBNs fault. The problem as per last week, an NBN tech came out to connect someone in my complex. Seems he unplugged me at the pit. I don't know why we still have ISPs when they just default to the NBN to come out & fix the issue.

  @TopherField The NBN started in Broken Hill my refrigeration systems on the towers where the only ones running when it hit 45c. They rang me up and said how come mine where the only one still working. Because I used Temperzone Australian Airconditioners with adjustable head preasure I increased. I didnt tell them all they had to do with the other was remove the thermistors off the head preasure on the American systems.

  @aaronsmith @jommy_tee To my mind this is decision is less technically competent as choosing to go for a copper NBN rather than fibre As believable a solution as carbon capture and storage

  @TopherField I'm in regional Victoria and there's NBN fixed wireless, someone has to come to your home, drill holes and install cables and a antenna on the roof that's if you are in line of sight of the tower, it is slow, people around me have just got Starlink instead, it's a game changer

  @ellymelly Never, as a former employee of NBN, I had proposed a non terrestrial backup service but they flatly refused to consider updating their satellite communications, and now we are digitally vulnerable.
