“However, Internet Australia chair Paul Brooks slammed the report as “self-serving” & “disingenuous”. “Clearly [the NBN Co] have an image problem they’re trying to repair, and that image problem is justified,” Dr Brooks said. Speedtest ranks Australia 61st for broadband speed”

“Mr Mullen claimed that the NBN’s high wholesale pricing would force resellers to “withdraw or go broke”, with consumers ultimately losing out. “The downside of this in turn will be fewer service providers and ultimately higher broadband prices to the consumer,” Mr Mullen said.”

“Labor had spent around $6.5 billion on the NBN when the Coalition took power in 2013, with the government since splashing more than $44 billion of taxpayer funds to create what experts have described as an “obsolete” and “third-world” broadband network.” Arrogant f**king lnp.

@StuartEdser A litany of poor decisions relating to the environment, treatment of asylum seekers, welfare recipients and the NBN

The wifi in Australia is so bad that hotspotting my 4G is allowing me to upload a video to YouTube faster than via the NBN connection Fibre to the node is the dumbest idea of all time

@NBN_Australia why does my PRD keep getting pushed back I've tried to get connected since March and there just seems to be problems keep popping up which prevents me from connecting. Surely this isn't up to service standards...

@deeplongstop @Goodsy2008 Re. internet, I’m in the sticks big time & packaged up Foxtel NBN with the TV service. Was somewhat skeptical about it but have to say it’s been great. Has full on dropped out a couple of times but that was due to NBN infrastructure. May be worth having a chat with Fox about it

@NBN_Australia so NBN Australia how about rather than tinkering around the edges on this 5th Chatswood outage in as many days you actually fix it? HFC & FTTN are the Coalition Govts enduring anti productivity legacy to Australia and the NBN has just given up

I think I've worked out Katie Allen's NBN broadband problems. She has FTTP. Fibre To The Princess. #AfternoonBriefing #auspol

Adam Ware (@tuppaware) reported
@__rymac @ryanjchr @jaronmc Cause a state gov deal was done before NBN with Telstra (who didn't want to do it) in that area when they built the new children hospital to get rid of the exchange and move everyone forcibly over to the fibre. Telstra never upgraded or updated it, NBN doesnt want to touch it.

Brett Flower (@ELCA_Brett) reported
In 2009, @AustralianLabor announced a @NBN_Australia network. 4 years later, the #LNPCorruptionParty took over the installation. 8 years of #LNPfailure means even though I live in @ScottMorrisonMP own electorate of Cook, we still do not have a reliable internet connection. FFS🤬

Jaron Mc (@jaronmc) reported
@tuppaware I attempted this when I moved recently. Speed wasn’t the issue, I kept running out of data. Ultimately I got NBN for better $/GB. I still have 5G on my phone for those times I want to feel a rush.

Is there a company like @Ubiquiti but for modems? Looking to potentially have a fail-over 4G connection as my FTTN NBN connection has been so unreliable recently. It really only needs to do VDSL and 4G - I've got a UDM that handles everything else.
