Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Silverwater and nearby locations:

  • bittenbydesign Bitten By Design (@bittenbydesign) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@alexwantscoffee @NBN_Australia Exactly my thoughts. And no amount of help from the service provider is going to change the amount of users on the node, or as you say, magically turn the copper lines to fibre optic.

  • fat_lenny Lenny (@fat_lenny) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@DuhigLisa @NBN_Australia @Telstra I actually love having the business run from hone. Been doing it for years and have a dedicated office. Constant issues with the NBN though really hurt and you are powerless to do anything. Into day 2 of no work, about to head to Telstra.

  • bigtruth2 hometown hero (@bigtruth2) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Telstra are just plain hopeless. Have been trying since May to fix a Telstra “error”....up to call 46 and each time assured it is fixed. Even have emails saying fixed but still NBN speed 0.002!!! World class!!

  • Type217 Dean Hanilton (@Type217) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

Almost 2 hours got get Telstra Big Pond wombles to reset the NBN password. And I know what I’m talking about ... good luck if youre not network savvy. No I don’t want to use your shitty router, I want to use my good one

  • RoyanWg Billy back in the black n broke HALLELUJAH (@RoyanWg) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@LesStonehouse Nothing about the shit NBN that the LNP/IPA Government has foisted upon the public instead of the world leading broadband it was supposed to be we are left with the inadequate bastardized system that Malcolm Turnbull/Abbott gave us

  • bigtruth2 hometown hero (@bigtruth2) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Got this message today “Hi, you recently contacted us about the Internet issue on your NBN Service. We believe this is now fixed” Guess what....STILL NOT WORKING!!! #australiasworst company

  • shootin4love Liam O'Neill (@shootin4love) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Vic_Rollison Gees, we probably still wouldn't have an ETS by now, a 2nd rate NBN and a system which favours the rich and blames the poor and unemployed for wearing those ugly old Vinnie's clothes. Wait a minute

  • Type217 Dean Hanilton (@Type217) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

Been a glorious 3 days with the NBN down. Apparently Telstra are going to actually show up today. It’s been kind of nice tbh.

  • bittenbydesign Bitten By Design (@bittenbydesign) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It’s directly related to the ‘fibre to the node’ loading, that can’t be fixed. Nor can the crap quality of the telephone lines in this area be totally replaced easily.

  • richardmissingh richard missingham (@richardmissingh) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@TurnbullMalcolm @RNBreakfast That's like the only problem with the NBN is we thought you knew what you were doing ..

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@exetel @chuggins9000 @NBN_Australia Thanks Rehan, but it is not an Exetel problem, all my neighbours have the same problem. NBN Co decided not to deluver high speed internet infrastucture to our Adamstown Heights area.

  • bittenbydesign Bitten By Design (@bittenbydesign) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Cummins7Robert @SBSNews @ScottMorrisonMP The LNP is just being the attack dog controllers for Murdoch. Murdoch and his father were and still are hell bent on killing off the ABC and anyone not on their payroll. Look who is pulling the strings. The LNP did similar shit for FOXTEL by stuffing the NBN to make Netflix bad.

  • AshDiterlizzi Ashley Diterlizzi (@AshDiterlizzi) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

Honestly, the worst thing about working from home is dealing with NBN, or more accurately, NBN outages. 🙄

  • bigtruth2 hometown hero (@bigtruth2) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Telstra another day goes by and still not resolved......June 26 and no NBN. Entirely Telstra problem when by mistake they put “restrictions “ on the account but it takes forever to lift them. BTW was in credit when restrictions where wrongly imposed

  • debra_mcgrath Debra McGrath (@debra_mcgrath) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@heatherewart1 @SwannyQLD @abc730 YES the NBN is my weather gage, whenever it's going to rain the NBN goes down

  • lazytraveldays Lazy Travel Days ✈️ ⛴ 🚘 (@lazytraveldays) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@adamajacoby NBN intentionality shit to benefit Murdoch

  • adlrope Adam Rope (reality is stranger than fiction) (@adlrope) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@Qldaah @Telstra David, if have nbn connection then Telstra only service provider. nbn co own & maintain network. Telstra technical support can investigate but if underlying issue is network, nbn co responsible. If nbn co state 'no fault found', then service provider no power coerce nbn action

  • jasondrennan71 Jason Drennan (@jasondrennan71) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

@Telstra why is @NBN_Australia so slow tonight at 2.75kbs. Woeful. Two hours and still can’t download a movie that runs for same time.

  • commiexcx Ray 🐑 (@commiexcx) reported from Central Coast, State of New South Wales

Big **** off to telstra for somehow making my first gen nbn (fibre to the house baby!) slow as all hell

  • NigelBill Nigel Mullen (@NigelBill) reported from Newcastle, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia It is not a fault. It is a NBN design issue. If a house is 1.2km in cable length from a Node, can they expect 80mb or more in connection speed. Very simple yes/no answer is all that is required.

@AlboMP Anthony Albanese the NBN rollout was an absolute disaster as Elon Musk said you could’ve saved yourself millions to billions of dollars by just getting Starlink instead of rolling out your ancient cable. The electricity problem is exactly the same. You’re putting a Band-Aid on with renewables. It’s just cheap toxic un recyclable stuff from China. While China is building nuclear facilities .🤪 It only lasts for 15 years and then gets buried in the ground. We have uranium in abundance to run nuclear which is the cheapest and cleanest. If AI keeps going the way it is we’re gonna need five nuclear facilities with how much energy it takes to run AI, so forget your little Chinese suckhole solar panels and wind turbines and just do the nuclear but we know you’re stupid and short sighted and don’t care about the real long-term future of Australia.

  • xroadie xroadie (@xroadie) reported

@techAU So appears that nbn are moving to amazons kuipier network. And the skymaster is to be phased out in 2030 Skymaster Replacement Strategy: In August 2025, NBN Co signed an agreement with Amazon's Project Kuiper to transition to low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite services. This new wholesale broadband offering is expected to roll out starting mid-2026 (initially in Tasmania), gradually replacing Sky Muster as the GEO satellites are phased out by 2032. This shift aims to provide lower latency and faster speeds (over 100 Mbps) to rural users, addressing limitations of GEO technology.
