  This is the argument for the #NBN few predicted: 1) Spend lots of money to build a national broadband network. 2) Spend even more money to make it Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) by default. 3) Private competitor pops up and offers comparable service, in more geographies, with zero Australian govt money. ....But where some are now (4a) Private competitor drives out public investment (4b) Private competitor CEO becomes hyper-partisan & divisive AND THEN (4c) They decide to use almost-monopoly power to hold citizens hostage with price increases. Kevin07 may have saved us, even if he didn't know it at the time.

  @un1v3rs3135 @robb_j_m i'm on slightly more expensive starlink plan, rural village, get 240 mbps down and much faster uploads than fixed wireless nbn for just $9 a month more than i paid for the unstable NBN. has dropped out once for 7 mins in very heavy rain over the last 5 months.

  @diss_presso @robb_j_m The nbn was only announced in 2011/12. So if it went to crap in 2000, that's the market that let it go to crap.

  A pity I didn't see how tonight's Dalts report played out on NBN News, would've been rather funny if Natasha Beyersdorf (who I think may have even worked alongside Kevin at Prime Tamworth, but I'm not 100% sure of that) made a "I think I've seen Kevin on another network" quip! 😜

  @SkullSpeedDeal I called Optus support the other day. The Indian guy on the phone literally couldn’t speak coherent English, misunderstood 5G and NBN, and sounded like he was calling from a scam centre which he probably was. Got escalated to an Aussie girl, problem was immediately solved.

  @robb_j_m NBN is unreliable in my area. I have Starlink $139 AUD per month Starlink is the only reliable service here

  @Hector_Herrick @Antiwoke7777 @OMGTheMess We had problems with our fibre-to-the curb NBN. their tech discovered that our old copper line was still connected to the exchange, and that was interfering with the copper line from the fibre to the house. Disconnected the old exchange line, and all was well.
