It should be investigated and people charged. I have a Vietnamese friend on a work visa who worked for a telecommunications company and now NBN. He often works from 7am to 9pm and in his first job he climbed those towers, often works weekends but never gets paid overtime!

@Nick40156474438 @Willygc13Will @JimThom90458694 I feel this. NBN is absolute ***. Every day I too get outages and need to reboot everything. So bad it’s a routine for me. Pretty close to changing to Starlink myself.

@Johnuh9d @AvidCommentator The NBN is expensive crap. The NDIS has turned into a complete rort. The GFC was an American housing crisis that had very little to to do with us. The pandemic was an over reaction. They've blown the lot. Money wasted with zero return on investment. Both parties are responsible for this mess and all I see for the future is higher unemployment and a low currency. It's going to be a double whammy. We are already in a per capita recession. The country needs some serious reform and it needs it right now..

Amazon Leo 🇦🇺 Australia NBN and Amazon’s LEO satellite internet service pushed to 2027 NBN Co and Amazon’s planned low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-powered internet service is still a while away, with the latest update indicating a mid 2027 launch. It comes a year after the initial announcement confirming NBN Co’s partnership with Amazon. At the time, mid-2026 was the estimated start of the Amazon Leo (then known as Project Kuiper) satellite rollout. Now, the rollout is set to start “around mid-2027”, according to an online update attributed to Gavin Williams, NBN Co’s Chief Development Officer, Regional and Remote. Accompanying the announcement were more details about the NBN LEO service. As the rollout commences, NBN’s new satellite service “will be progressively available to homes and businesses across the NBN satellite footprint”. To begin with, eligible Australians will be able to access LEO internet “through participating Australian internet providers”. NBN Co also confirmed wholesale speed options of either 50Mbps downloads and 10Mbps uploads, or 100Mbps/20Mbps. Although those speeds aren’t higher than NBN’s existing satellite internet technology, the soon-to-be-retired Sky Muster array encounters notable speed drops during peak usage times, according to the ACCC’s Measuring Broadband Australia report. Sky Muster relies on geostationary (GEO) satellites, which orbit roughly 36,000km above Earth. LEO satellites operate much closer, with Amazon’s technology set to orbit at around 600 km. With less distance to travel, NBN’s upcoming service should improve latency and overall internet speeds for those reliant on satellite connectivity. By transitioning to the new satellite technology, NBN aims to compete more strongly alongside Starlink for rural Australians. ACCC’s reporting measured Starlink’s average download speed at 230.4Mbps on its premium $150 monthly Residential Max plan. For now, NBN Co plans to start testing the LEO service “later this year”, followed by customer trials before the intended mid-2027 launch.

OR they could say? Starlink is the same OR cheaper and gives better service! while our sat service costs a LOT for lousy speeds and is ****** if? it works at all Elon Musk cashes in on Australia’s NBN fail Bush families are being forced to pay the world’s richest man for basic phone coverage, as Australia’s bungled NBN rollout leaves dangerous black spots across the regions. @Avichaivegas @JakeTurx NBN is such a waste. I am here for 30+ years and seen so many Americans who moved to Israel without any aid from any group (before NBN) who due to finances were forced to leave after learning the language, building businesses, having kids, etc. NBN wouldn't help any of them!
