    It should be investigated and people charged. I have a Vietnamese friend on a work visa who worked for a telecommunications company and now NBN. He often works from 7am to 9pm and in his first job he climbed those towers, often works weekends but never gets paid overtime!

    NOT HAPPY @OPTUS. i understand the nbn going down with the flooding but not to have decent 4g here in jimboomba is unforgivable. Moved here in 2015 & had great coverage. With each "upgrade" to the tower its gotten worse to the point where its taken1/2hr just to get onto twitter.

    The outage in Tasmania caused by a cut to a Telstra cable is impacting homes and businesses connected to nbn™ Fixed Wireless services in Tasmania. We have been advised work is underway to restore services. We will provide further updates when they are available.

    @Optus i wasnt complaining about that, i understand the NBN issues due to our flooding. I dont understand the supposed upgrades to our tower over the past 6 years have given us less coverage and its getting worse

    @NBN_Australia Unfortunately ISPs give information to NBN which is ignored. Both treat consumers as idiots, so the hapless consumer is left with nowhere to turn. Four weeks of providing the same information every couple of days to NBN via ISP; four weeks of inaction.

    Update: Still have power Still have food Still not raining Flood waters Still very high so Still cannot get to work. Lost connection to the NBN last night & the mobile networks are very very poor. (Had to go for a walk to get enough reception for data) Frustrated but ok.

    We are aware of an issue impacting connectivity across mobile, home broadband and NBN in Tasmania due to third party cable issues. Customers may have limited or no service at this time. We are working with the cable operator to restore services as quickly as possible.
