    It should be investigated and people charged. I have a Vietnamese friend on a work visa who worked for a telecommunications company and now NBN. He often works from 7am to 9pm and in his first job he climbed those towers, often works weekends but never gets paid overtime!

    You're partly right - we don't have a free market. The market here is heavily distorted with gov intervention. Inflation is cause by increased money supply. That inflation affects everyone - including grocery stores, NBN providors, health funds. They must pass those costs down. Fuel is also subject to inflation in addition to the fuel crisis. This impacts input costs for many businesses, not all, to varying degrees. The only thing that causes market wide inflation is Gov.

    Australia’s biggest fumbles I have seen in my lifetime so far have been missing the boat on nuclear in the 90s (I don’t believe it is worth it today) and the NBN. Anyone who caused their poor outcomes should be strung up for it.

How's the tax on tobacco going in stopping smoking as opposed to feeding organised crime? Pot / kettle Their sudden growth will result in messes, poor communication and confusion between newly formed members but their sudden growth is do to the F up by these 2 major parties. Oh... and ... Fire the Liar

    @Telstra Your customer service team are disgusting. They mixed up NBN and Optimcomm and not one person answered a single question I asked. Absolutely disgusting. I want to raise a formal complaint.

    @Carlsie555 Depends if it is a provider or NBN hardware issue. We’ve found Aussie Broadband to be good to deal with and reliable. I can’t remember who the kids are with. I’d have to check.

    @tzk1810 100% there's some other kind of issue going on. I've been FTTN in a country town before and still able to pull 60 down. But if you really want good internet just drop NBN altogether and go Starlink. $75 100 down and nevwr skips a beat.

    Was there an issue with the 4G/5G network in Melbourne, Victoria today?? It seems as I got out of the CBD the network improved but within the metropolitan areas there was issues?? @Starlink at home seems to be operating fine - anyone have NBN issues?

    The three telcos and government-owned NBN Co were left reeling when the regulator rang to notify them of its final pricing decision – a token $20m reduction to renew spectrum licences essential for carrying mobile signals. ACMA’s decision will result in the sector collectively paying peak market rates of $7.32bn to roll over their existing spectrum holdings as licences begin expiring from 2028. Much of that cost will find its way on to customer bills. More inflation incoming!
