@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

@decryption Considering the only NBN option I’ve got is their ******** “Sky Muster” satellite service, Starlink is looking better, if only it was available to me. Must check again.

@NBN_Australia Less than ideal is an UNDERSTATEMENT. The only reason I got service from you was because I embarrass you on this platform! The complaint was lodged on 2nd October 2021. I contact you again today to be told there is no incident lodged. LIES! Miraculously my complaint was found....

With @Telstra cable effectively collapsing on me — absorbing the whole day in trying to fix (unsuccessfully) — it’s time to jump into NBN (which I’ve been trying to avoid) I need no more than 50 Gigs/mnth reliability not speed — though I’ll watch the occasional movie Any tips?

@BecWrong Sorry to hear Ms. Q.K. At least you now know where the hidden connection is? - NBN consultant. Sorry! It’s a ****. 😡

@TPG_Telecom My NBN and landline has not been working for over a week. The technician that came yesterday left without fixing the issue. The technician that was due to come today did not turn up. What needs to happen to resolve this issue?

@frconil Yep, that was a big motivator for me going ABB for NBN. Not the cheapest but every time there’s been problems they’ve been excellent. When I cancelled my Internode, the tech went “wow; that’s a short account number”. I think I’d been a customer since he was in primary school ;)

Is that book as slow as the NBN? #QandA

@Telstra 3 separate technicians came to check it out & said house is too far from the node. In a brand new development 500m from a university. Replacing copper with copper in Burnie was never gonna get us fibre speed, but we *have* to pay for NBN.

How many times do I have to reach out before you will answer me in relation to the INCIDENT NUMBER not the reference number. You must think I am an idiot!!! @NBN_Australia

@Telstra looking at 5G map, all areas surrounding ours have it, why is that a small pocket of the suburb is still left with abysmally slow 4G and NBN
