Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

  • willjackson Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

@TammyWolffs The last two public service agreements have seen increase of over 3% each year for 3 years for workers. Don’t believe me, ask the CPSU what NBN Co increase were recently.

@stephendziedzic @karenandrewsmp Surely NBN's lack of bandwidth provides #Aus with an almost-impenetrable barrier to defend our critical online infrastructure from external threats! Any hacker based abroad would need to be very patient to effect anything serious, if my home network's performance is any guide!

  • RayMondeDeux Lakey Farm (@RayMondeDeux) reported

@JamieNicolaou @Telstra Nbn is ****. They know it and they don't care. I like to see pollies and executives have access only to speeds like this

  • Hipcatprintery Lawrence Finn (@Hipcatprintery) reported

NBN in rural Aust. It goes down and there’s no phones without driving. Sick kids. No ambulances if needed as you can’t contact anyone… NBN 8 days later and still haven’t been contacted. World class @NBN_Australia

  • TaodeHaas Tao de Haas (@TaodeHaas) reported

How many times can LNP fool voters? Scare mongering is only thing LNP runs election campaigns on. Never constructive policies. Destruction is all they know. Analogy, now have 100 yr old copper NBN! They’re in full swing again. Labor danger. You can trust us. Yes, to lie! #auspol

@NBN_Australia down in Greenacre, but no info on website?? Any news on how long it will take?

  • DodoAustralia Dodo (@DodoAustralia) reported

@innerwestpi We'd love to help further, but unfortunately, we don't provide installations for nbn™ phone sockets as mentioned. If there is anything else we can help with, please let us know and we'll do our best to resolve this for you. - Gwen

@NBN_Australia @gibbofn My box and modem are both next to my TV downstairs my desktop is upstairs and it is slow as

  • NewtonMark Mark “Three-Jabs” Newton (@NewtonMark) reported

@David_Bonnici NBN's fixed network has FTTH, FTTB, FTTC, FTTN. Arguably FTTN is the worst. NBNco will eventually over-build the FTTN installations with FTTH in due course, so I guess that's the alternative.

  • alangarf Alan Garfield (@alangarf) reported

I hate having my internet in 4G backup mode because my primary NBN link died and I have to wait for the tech to arrive. It's better than no internet but streaming TV is pretty bad and work from home on multi GBs of data is impossible
