@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

@NBN_Australia Thanks for replying. My provider can't help, have told me it will be several more months. I've been trying to connect for months already. It's incredibly frustrating and I'm wasting a lot of my already scarce time

@willl @BizTalkBill @NBN_Australia yeah..i've got 100/40 so for me i'd want 1000/50 to make it worth it as the upload gets quite important... 250/25 is a down grade in upload for us

@WestOzOls @rdrs23 @Telstra I’m with Pentanet, joined about 6 months ago. Best thing we ever did. On NBN in my area, the fastest speed we were able to get was 36mbps (I kid u not!) with Pentanet, now getting around 100mbps and actually cheaper. AAA service too, unlike Telstra

@NBN_Australia @Aussie_BB is there an outage happening in Sydney? My wi-fi isn’t connecting at all. Asked me to re enter my password which I did and it came back for 5mins then disconnected again

Placed an order for home nbn on 8/11/20. Still no contact from @telstra despite multiple calls to connect. Service is a disgrace. At same time receiving texts telling me I need to update my current cable plan even though I have. Don’t know how this company functions at all.
