Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Lismore and nearby locations:

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

  • willjackson Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

@wyvernsrose @noplaceforsheep @WestnetAU We are on NBN with them now. Won't go near places like Optus or Telstra/Bigpond as they charge way too much for little to no service and problems galore

  • The_Rail_Life Metro Man (@The_Rail_Life) reported

@1000millimeter Ohhhh, sorry! NBN = National Broadband Network. FTTC = Fibre To The Curb = Optic fibre connection is just outside my property, last 10m is copper wire.

  • StevenGeorge36 Steven George (@StevenGeorge36) reported

@damianoau Up and down all day, putrid NBN

  • RefyT4 #MF Refy (@RefyT4) reported

@GoGoYubari__ Not a problem for us lads with NBN 100 😌

  • SadDystopia 𝕕𝕪𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕡𝕚𝕒 (@SadDystopia) reported

@w0zr0b has your NBN been bad too?

  • carlofsweden Carl LeSwede (@carlofsweden) reported

@The_Rail_Life @tzk1810 I’ve heard ABB are good. Our Optus NBN very poor initially due to low CVC provisioning. Now we typically get over 100Mbps, even in busy times. But $90.

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@JoBreizner2 Hi Billy, we got an update from NBN Co that the outage has been resolved this morning. We can see that your nbn box is now online but the modem isn't. Try to give it a power restart and let us know how it goes. -Charm

  • SteveMolk The Guidefather 👍🇦🇺📺 (@SteveMolk) reported

Sneaky peaky @VodafoneAU - release new NBN plans with REDUCED upload speeds (down from 40Mbps to 25Mbps). In a time when I have 3-4 people on study/work from home I cannot have a reduced upload limit like that. NOT. COOL.

  • carlofsweden Carl LeSwede (@carlofsweden) reported

@The_Rail_Life @tzk1810 Worth noting that advertised speed is their theoretical max. It matters how much capacity (CVC) they buy from NBN Co and can be the diff between great and awful speeds during busy times. Never heard of Superloop, look for reviews.

  • dgr_dgr Daniel Rose (@dgr_dgr) reported from Brisbane, State of Queensland

@SteveMolk @VodafoneAU What? I have to check mine. That's dodgy. And now I feel awful because I recommended you to voda NBN didn't I??
