@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

@TurnbullMalcolm You should be Prime Minister, I am sure a Turnbull government would have a meaningful climate policy, manage the NDIS with generousity and compassion and fix the shambles that is the NBN.... What, HE WAS!! oh.. wow.. It is almost like someone had him by the ***** for 3 years.

@NBN_Australia The outage was resolved about 7 hours later. I also checked the NBN linked site on the day nearly 2 hours after it went down and it didn't show any outage either. However NBN and providers are monitoring outages it's NOT working. Every time it's taking 2-3 hours for outage - 1/2

So while I was having pc issues my entire net died and I’ve had to lodge another fault with NBN 😛

@navypti @abc730 @abcnews When no heads rolled over the ABC's hiding its own expertise on the NBN to help the LNP during an election it showed its colours. It wasn't even embarrassed about it.

Unbelievable how, in #Australia our #NBN “broadband” “service” is so rubbish two people about 3 hours drive apart are unable to get a solid enough connection to voice chat, let alone play a game reliant on timing... #ThisIsAustralia #auspol #AuspolSoCorrupt

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@backupbear We're sorry for the inconvenience. NBN has confirmed that the assigned technician is now on-site to investigate the service issue. Further updates will be communicated via SMS by our outage monitoring team. -Geli

That’s right folks. Today I’m gonna be one of those people who have NBN in Australia, get ready for my enraging tweets about how slow and shit the internet will be sometimes

  • scottstweeting Scott (@scottstweeting) reported

@Telstra @abcnews I know it was not just @telstra , everyone on NBN is screwed, however NBN and Telstra are both government, and they decided to shut down internet services which were cheaper and more reliable and force NBN to justify $27 billion in tax spend (27=51 in 'gov' language)

  • cmtesta Christopher Testa (@cmtesta) reported

An estimated 3000 to 4000 NBN users nationwide are believed to be affected by an outage involving the Skymuster satellite that provides NBN to many rural areas. The outage began about 10am yesterday. NBN says it’s working to “restore services as soon as possible”.

  • Shanoobis Shannon G. (@Shanoobis) reported

@NBN_Australia Hi, I've reached the limit that the copper network will provide and unless you are actually offering to replace the useless copper then you are no help to me at all and I would rather spend my time finding viable alternatives.
