NBN Issues Reports Near Alstonville, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Alstonville and nearby locations:

  • willjackson Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Labor had spent around $6.5 billion on the NBN when the Coalition took power in 2013, with the government since splashing more than $44 billion of taxpayer funds to create what experts have described as an “obsolete” and “third-world” broadband network.” Arrogant f**king lnp.

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Mr Mullen claimed that the NBN’s high wholesale pricing would force resellers to “withdraw or go broke”, with consumers ultimately losing out. “The downside of this in turn will be fewer service providers and ultimately higher broadband prices to the consumer,” Mr Mullen said.”

@NBN_Australia cancels appointment to connect our internet for the 2nd time. If they do finally get here in January it will be 3 months of explaining to them and @telstra that we also have no phone signal here and are up **** creek.

  • VernVerass Verner Verass (@VernVerass) reported from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

@mephistojones Mephisto ~ the NBN is intentionally sub-standard: The original model of fibre to the premises will need to be retro-fitted ~ the NBN requires a rebuild to meet world standard service delivery.

  • jobeth_b jo bella (@jobeth_b) reported

I called @iinet basically every day but **** just went in circles with no resolution including an appointment they cancelled bc they still hadn't got OUR ADDRESS RIGHT! Now it's 2 days to Christmas. The next available @NBN_Australia appointment is Jan 19. HEAD EXPLODING

  • chrisfordoz Chris Ford (@chrisfordoz) reported

@Aussie_BB I understand that, however, my relationship is with you, not NBN. They are your supplier not mine. Two weeks in a row we've had "scheduled" outages where I got your notification just as the outage began. This doesn't meet a reasonable threshold of good customer comms

  • mmcs75 Mario (@mmcs75) reported

@FinancialReview Complete? If by replacing a fully functioning HFC network with an inferior one and slapping the NBN logo on it means it is complete, then obviously it is complete. + until every ADSL/dial up customer transfers to NBN, but can't (there are plenty) it's not complete.

  • ants000 Anthony Eales (@ants000) reported

@NBN_Australia Haha. It's not Aussie Broadband 's fault. They always try and resolve things. At the end of the day NBN never want to take responsibility.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@ants000 We agree it isn't the provider's fault, Anthony, however, they provide a service to you, on the nbn network. So all fault-related issues should be reported to your provider who can then log a service restoration request to their nbn support team on your behalf. 1/2

  • Tzisorey Embrace the Daddy (@Tzisorey) reported

@NBN_Australia No chance of getting an ETA for the issue in 6167 - just so I know whether there's any point hanging around here waiting, or if I should just head out and start my holidays early?

  • MrSrHoges MrSisterHoges; Hugs 2 youse 4 A Merry Xmas (@MrSrHoges) reported

@LeftyLongtitude @PaulFletcherMP Still 30 thousand homes to connect to the NBN & he is calling the "Job" finished. WE all know the job isnt finished till the paperwork's` done, & the great pile of crap they created citing cheaper faster & on time, is the slowest in the developed world, 3yrs overdue & 5x the cost

  • Averagamer Reinjarl Wolfgang (@Averagamer) reported

@SquigglyRick How old is the house? the physical joint of where the cables met may be detoriating. When they send out an NBN contractor he can do a TDR check. Also if Telstra doesn’t want to give you better internet take the effort to shop around. See what the neighbours have and service
