Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Alstonville and nearby locations:

  • willjackson Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“The staggering sum was highlighted by the nation’s peak body for phone and internet users on Wednesday, in a response to the consumer watchdog’s NBN Wholesale Service Standards Inquiry draft decision.”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“By next year, the NBN Co has promised to have 8.1 million homes and businesses using the service, with a further 11.7 million ready to connect. However, experts have warned the NBN’s speed and reliability issues will only worsen as more households and businesses connect.”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“However, Internet Australia chair Paul Brooks slammed the report as “self-serving” & “disingenuous”. “Clearly [the NBN Co] have an image problem they’re trying to repair, and that image problem is justified,” Dr Brooks said. Speedtest ranks Australia 61st for broadband speed”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Labor had spent around $6.5 billion on the NBN when the Coalition took power in 2013, with the government since splashing more than $44 billion of taxpayer funds to create what experts have described as an “obsolete” and “third-world” broadband network.” Arrogant f**king lnp.

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Mr Mullen claimed that the NBN’s high wholesale pricing would force resellers to “withdraw or go broke”, with consumers ultimately losing out. “The downside of this in turn will be fewer service providers and ultimately higher broadband prices to the consumer,” Mr Mullen said.”

  • sushedron SushiDrone (@sushedron) reported

Hey @TPG_Telecom! Stop holding me hostage by keeping my new development fee. I can't switch provider without paying $300 because it appears you never transferred them to NBN, so new provider has to request these $300 again,

  • lemonsprout_ lemon !! 🍋🌱 (@lemonsprout_) reported

(nbn is the national broadband network and is basically just shitty internet)

  • AUSFestivus Andrew Best shaving yaks ... mking endorphins (@AUSFestivus) reported

@yayKM How's it holding up? The old Foxtel HFC/Coax cable is pretty much life expired. A lot of the widgetty things that hold it together are old and corroded. What you're experiencing is being repeated for just about every NBN customer on HFC in Australia.

  • jessieeee96 jessie (@jessieeee96) reported

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the message Matt, my service provider advised NBN is currently fixing the outage in my area, hopefully we will be able to get back online soon

  • Tam_A_Le ••• (@Tam_A_Le) reported

@NBN_Australia 😤 every weekend ?? Seriously are you replacing one piece of equipment each time until you get a working network

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@Tam_A_Le If they require further assistance, your provider has direct access to our nbn support team who can advise of any updates relating to a disruption with your service. Sometimes we unavoidably must take part of the network out of service while we rollout in certain areas. 2/3

  • bogload BOGLOAD (@bogload) reported

@NBN_Australia Your new TCP program quote tool is BROKEN. $9k for my unit (1 of 3 with shared driveway). Next door neighbour to my right single fronted house is $2.7k. Neighbours on left side in block of 3 units are $9k each. We're all on FTTC, it should cost PEANUTS TO CHANGE!!!

  • bogload BOGLOAD (@bogload) reported

@NBN_Australia 2/2? Can’t finish a tweet let-alone build a functional quote tool, much less a fit for purpose broadband network.

  • AshBurmeister AshBurmeister (@AshBurmeister) reported

@NBN_Australia an "unplanned incident" notice has been on your site for my area for over 18 hours with no details as to when you'll have it fixed. Where can I get this info? ISP says it's an NBN issue, not theirs.

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@binuvp We don't have access to the systems where service providers lodge faults they go straight to our nbn support team and this nbn team is only contactable by service providers. 2/3
