NBN Issues Reports Near Alstonville, State of New South Wales

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Alstonville and nearby locations:
  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“The staggering sum was highlighted by the nation’s peak body for phone and internet users on Wednesday, in a response to the consumer watchdog’s NBN Wholesale Service Standards Inquiry draft decision.”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“By next year, the NBN Co has promised to have 8.1 million homes and businesses using the service, with a further 11.7 million ready to connect. However, experts have warned the NBN’s speed and reliability issues will only worsen as more households and businesses connect.”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“However, Internet Australia chair Paul Brooks slammed the report as “self-serving” & “disingenuous”. “Clearly [the NBN Co] have an image problem they’re trying to repair, and that image problem is justified,” Dr Brooks said. Speedtest ranks Australia 61st for broadband speed”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Mr Mullen claimed that the NBN’s high wholesale pricing would force resellers to “withdraw or go broke”, with consumers ultimately losing out. “The downside of this in turn will be fewer service providers and ultimately higher broadband prices to the consumer,” Mr Mullen said.”

  • raywilton4 💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales

“Labor had spent around $6.5 billion on the NBN when the Coalition took power in 2013, with the government since splashing more than $44 billion of taxpayer funds to create what experts have described as an “obsolete” and “third-world” broadband network.” Arrogant f**king lnp.

  • willjackson Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales

@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

@iiNet Hi, I had an outage a couple weeks ago and the same issue is back. I don’t have all 4 lights on my NBN box. But turning it off and on doesn’t resolve it. There are no reported outages in my area. Thanks

  • reggaeX2sauce joe (@reggaeX2sauce) reported

@Optus the customer service from you guys is so bad. I get told my nbn service is being cancelled imminently because of an internal system error and im an 1hr into a call on a Saturday morning to trying to fix it. Thanks for messing up my plans

  • raven_squire raven_squire (@raven_squire) reported

@stevenmarkryan It pains me to say this, but NBN is half the cost and bearable service.

  • adamjonwilliams Adam Williams (@adamjonwilliams) reported

Two things people bang on about that **** me in Australia, Companies that use VMware banging on about sovereignty (umm that horse bolted when you installed VMware) and 'Edge' Edge is latency, trying to flog your dc in broom as edge when NBN send all data to syd is flat out dumb

  • jonowee jonowee (@jonowee) reported

Are these NBN unannounced slowdowns and outage related to MyRepublic transferring to @superloopau? What are Superloop's help line hours like? MR was useless to me. But at least SL will let me buy a 100Mbps FTTN subscription, I still need to read up on their Flip to Fibre™.

  • TLDragon23 The Last Dragon (@TLDragon23) reported

@NBN_Australia Starlink will solve my problem
