Yay, NBN issues. Two neighbours (with different RSPs) also having issues. Nearly 3 hours after the outage started, @NBN_Australia still don't know about it (or haven't acknowledged it in their outages listing)

💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales
“The staggering sum was highlighted by the nation’s peak body for phone and internet users on Wednesday, in a response to the consumer watchdog’s NBN Wholesale Service Standards Inquiry draft decision.”
-
💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales
“By next year, the NBN Co has promised to have 8.1 million homes and businesses using the service, with a further 11.7 million ready to connect. However, experts have warned the NBN’s speed and reliability issues will only worsen as more households and businesses connect.”

💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales
“However, Internet Australia chair Paul Brooks slammed the report as “self-serving” & “disingenuous”. “Clearly [the NBN Co] have an image problem they’re trying to repair, and that image problem is justified,” Dr Brooks said. Speedtest ranks Australia 61st for broadband speed”

💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales
“Mr Mullen claimed that the NBN’s high wholesale pricing would force resellers to “withdraw or go broke”, with consumers ultimately losing out. “The downside of this in turn will be fewer service providers and ultimately higher broadband prices to the consumer,” Mr Mullen said.”
-
💧Ray Wilton 💧💦 (@raywilton4) reported from Lennox Head, State of New South Wales
“Labor had spent around $6.5 billion on the NBN when the Coalition took power in 2013, with the government since splashing more than $44 billion of taxpayer funds to create what experts have described as an “obsolete” and “third-world” broadband network.” Arrogant f**king lnp.

Will Jackson (@willjackson) reported from Lismore, State of New South Wales
@abc730 @geoff__thompson The premise of this article is flawed. Netflix was already in popular use in Australia when the Coalition made the decision to cripple the NBN and everyone was saying at the time that streaming TV would become the dominant platform. ABC's own iView service was launched in 2008.

@CaraMia200 I will never forget Turnball saying we only need 25 Mbps - stuffed the entire NBN and we are still paying for their stupid mistakes

Anthony Widdowson 🐦 (@skyfire747) reported
Thinking wether our @iiNet router needs replacing. We have the TGiiNet-1, (I think) and it is slow to get going if we ever have to turn it off and back on. Seems we have had it for 19 years and 9 months. Just wish I knew when the NBN upgrade was going to happen, still on fttn.

D.A. O’Connot (@ConnotD621) reported
@Bk_for45 And this is how it’s handed down from generation to generation. Entitlement 101. NBN.

Barry Mulligan (@BazzaCC) reported
@patrickrm Back in the day you could just ring up..... but with the NBN everything goes down

@AntBA013 @DavidPocock Remember the great NBN FIX? When it was finished - to late, we had wireless and Star link! But now ALP are going to improve NBN.
-
humper (@GrumparseJeremy) reported
@agentsmart Malcolm did his best American and spread the wealth to his mates and socialised a slow nbn. That the nbn charges more. Then slows it down further.
-
Shanye (@shanye227) reported
@kisslandcrush bro what ********, you got the evil nbn box in your house
-
Harry Snape (@HarryFromSyd) reported
@UncleLe30986678 @goodfoodgal The “second” surplus produced an increase in overall debt because your man Chalmers has pushed spending on the NBN and renewables off budget because they are “an asset” on the belief that they will one day produce a profit even though they never have A forecast of 10y of deficits
-
Cdbrown (@BrowntownBrew) reported
@RyanJones6980 @rhysam @Telstra Starlink is great when compared to NBN wireless and copper based connections. It is slow and costly compared to fttp which is what 93% of premises would have had by now if it weren't for Abbott
-
Ryan Jones (@RyanJones6980) reported
@BrowntownBrew @rhysam @Telstra I have 2 family members on NBN and I get 2-3 times the download with comparable upload and unnoticeable latency issues with anything I use it for. It has never failed either.
