@davidbewart @nefreus Add to that, latest ABS data (Mar2020) shows 2.5 mill Australians are not online; affordability issues, access/location or lack of digital literacy. 10% of Aussies, no internet, let alone slow internet Successive Govs & NBN failures for an essential service, not a luxury#auspol

@PeterJamesRoth6 @PeterDutton_MP Yep, there were definite technical issues from the websites end first few days, then also just a clunky government designed site. I had no problems signing, but think I was ~1,500th signature, before site started crashing. No doubt poor NBN/internet doesn’t help 👍

    @AhillfromOZ @PhantomLaneFour @nbn @TeslaGong @sydney_ev @TeslaStraya @_TeslaTom @DrSallyL Try it first see what happens on the mobile network

  • sportingphotos Sporting Photos (@sportingphotos) reported from Long Forest, State of Victoria

I predict in a matter of weeks anyone who voted down labor and their NBN will be complaining when 24 million people try to access Netflix, stan, YouTube and pornhub at 11.45 in the morning.

  • EmergencyBK Emergency&BushfireKits (@EmergencyBK) reported from Dales Creek, State of Victoria

@LotL20 Not at all, w/ cable, satellite & wireless NBN, dial up & mobile networks, there’s zero reasons by now that everyone shouldn’t have access. Gov. prioritising electorates with denser populations i.e. more votes, rather than equal distribution of service, as promised a decade ago.

  • platykitten Lorraine Paul (@platykitten) reported from Long Forest, State of Victoria

We all know that is exactly why Murky wanted NBN slowed down. Cut out the competition of Foxtel!

  • sportingphotos Sporting Photos (@sportingphotos) reported from Long Forest, State of Victoria

Just tried calling @3AW693 & @TJch9 about the NBN. Yet another rant about how it’s bad, again I tried to say how it’s wonderful if you have @AustralianLabor’s NBN (FTTP). Again bumped after being told I was next for 20 minutes. They put in footy show calls to drop me. #bias

The bastards rang me saying they were NBN. We all know what shit that is! Luckily, I woke up, just, before they got anything - Lucky escape.

NBN Issues Reports

  • Pslavi Slave' Popovski ® (@Pslavi) reported

@AlexBurns202 It's limited to 12mbps if the NBN goes down but better than nothing. Hasn't gone down yet. On the rural its 35 per month satellite but 600ms latency sucks. Reported average latency of nearly 40ms on Starlink isn't good for gaming though. Price is also factor for some.

  • terry_legg 💧Terry Legg 🌏 (@terry_legg) reported

@Ozzytourer @WittaTwitta @ScottMorrisonMP no we don't! if we were getting the LNP's NBN vaccine we'd be paying 6 times as much as the 95% efficacy vax for a watered down version of the 60% efficacy vax so that it had no more than 30% efficacy

  • TPG_Telecom TPG (@TPG_Telecom) reported

@CharmedKaren6 Hi Karen, it appears that NBN Co. has performed a network improvement to optimise the performance of the service in your area. It started today, 13/01/2021 00:30 AEDT and was completed this morning 13/01/2021 06:30 AEDT. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. -Riezl

  • pasavito Tony West (@pasavito) reported

@NBN_Australia Thanks for the reply Zara. The issue has been confirmed to be in the street between the node & my property. We can’t get over ~32mbit down, & it worsens badly when there’s heavy rain. We are hoping that we’ll be on the remediation list for suburbs getting backdated FTTP.

  • penguin_brian Brian May (@penguin_brian) reported

@andybotting NBN AFAIK only provides an Ethernet link. Internode require a PPP connection on top of this. Which is kind of stupid really, but probably because of legacy systems and/or ADSL compatibility. Other ISPs are more sane.

  • EddieDeBear Eddie de Bear (@EddieDeBear) reported

Hey @Aussie_BB, any update on the NBN outage in Canberra? It's been down since the planned maintenance at 1:00am.. 11 hours later, we are still waiting..

  • MitchGames247 Mitcho 🎬 (@MitchGames247) reported

I just can't win man. It doesn't matter what i try and do there's always something going wrong which prevents me from streaming. I'm so over it honestly. I've explored every other avenue. - Hotspot is too slow where I live to stream or upload. - Mobile NBN is too expensive.

  • pasavito Tony West (@pasavito) reported

@PaulFletcherMP The LNP have stuffed this up. Done just enough to say it’s complete. I hope we get on the NBN back date project (my $$$ are ready to go) but am not holding my breath. FYI; cell networks really bad here too. Optus + Voda are forget it, Telstra has some 5G but a lot of 3G still.

  • BeekayKitty Caleb Fathers (@BeekayKitty) reported

Hey guys. Good and bad news regarding my Internet... After two hours on the phone with my provider, I discovered that my new house has fibre to the curb, not to thenode. This means that I have to wait until the 25th to have a technician cone out and get tye NBN connected...

  • Ih8Lawww IH8LAWWW (@Ih8Lawww) reported

@justschmit Yeah that's just rough mate I hate how bad connections to the supposed australias great nbn are. 😓
