@gjblue @NBN_Australia That is a problem. Theoretical max would be 20Mbps and likely the actual cable length in the street is longer. When you are borderline for distance it is really worth checking the wiring under the house.

@supergirl_sass Hi there, nbn is the wholesaler of the network and generally does not make outbound calls, especially in regards to connection orders. Anything to do with connection orders, faults, appointments etc. are managed directly by your service provider. If you need further 1/2

@phbarratt Assuming you are NBN enabled, get an answering machine with a digital display, it will display number calling. If you do not know the number calling don't answer or wait for them to speak. Spammers will hang up as soon as your answering machine answers 99% of the time.

@tobyallen @max_au @NBN_Australia NBNCo won’t “engage a network technician” to solve an ISP problem though.

@phbarratt When we connected to NBN we had to change our land line number. Have never given this number out as we only use mobiles, but we still get robocalls. How did they get the number?

@galumay @AussieBroadband With Telstra on 50 plan. They effectively downgraded me when switched to NBN late last year - was getting 110mbps down on regular cable for the same price. Thinking of switching to Vodafone 100 plan because they’ll bundle it with the businesses mobile plans and is ~40% cheaper.
