@NotDoritosChip Sooooo 1. Modem almost caught on fire, bought a new modem. 2. NBN is working doing schedule work in my node, that then for upgraded to a “repair” and is “pending” 3. I was meant to be part of a minecraft race and now NBN let everyone down...

@chrismurphys @Telstra I use Optus mobile broadband. A year with no problems. Faster download than nbn. Slower upload but who cares. Their webmail is not to be recommended though.

@benftiPTP @_BertHandsome IF you're somewhere where you're a long way from a node or poor copper quality absolutely. Its a very viable alternative. Or if you are on nbn wireless on a congested tower, or had no line of sight to the tower (trees etc in the way) than Starlink will be very viable.

@PeterCronau @chrismurphys Same. I’ve used ALDImobile for all my data needs for years - there are slow periods (4G) but I had that w 3 different ADSL/NBN ISP. phone data more reliable, no dropouts & heaps cheaper

anyone else getting a terrible picture on kayo atm? watching a champions cup game, bristol and clermont it's been pretty poor for most of it. definitely not my internet, we're on NBN 100
