Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

I think I'll need to get a new modem as well, as I think my current modem will be locked to Iinet, so would hope to get a good unlimited NBN static IP plan with a modem, doing similar speeds (80Mbps down, 30-35ish Mbps up)

@baxters @Internode Adam Internet was everything I wanted in an ISP, the were bought by iiNet and things started to go down the pan, they were taken over by TPG and now they're rubbish. There's got to be a reason for the decline across the industry - maybe the NBN ??

Update to the whole NBN location - Turns out the it's has an embedded network for everything. Makes things easy, but also, you get pretty limited choices for everything which is annoying

…ideas that gave us our string and tin can broadband. And notice the response to the energy crisis is going the same way, towards ‘protecting the vulnerable’. It’ll fail in the same way that’s failed for Covid, and for the NBN. The public is not a majority OR a minority. /6

@Telstra Telstra services are back now. For 5 to 10mins my NBN didn't work, mobile service changed from 5G to 3G and back to 5G. I am guessing its not just me affected.

@RushmoreLists Great list, but would not be complete without the pre-emotive cheating song Jolene by Dolly! Honorable mentions for Sorry by Beyonce, It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy, OPP by NbN (c’mon, who isn’t down with it?), and in the spirit of the season, Backdoor Santa by Clarence Carter

Hey @Optus! There has been an #NBN service fault for the last 2 days.. Any chance you might know when it will be resolved?

@Telstra The root cause identified, I was never given speed boost add-on inspite of promising with the discounted rate. I had to ultimately call the sales people myself and the resolution took an hour @NBN_Australia

A ping speed, or the time it takes for a signal to get to the satellite and back again, is generally about 32 milliseconds But Mr Thompson was finding it was about 700 milliseconds on the NBN service
