@ThornburyRocks I turned the ringer off on mine about 10 years ago. Still available in an emergency for calls out*. As long as the nbn is up and running.

4 years of slow @NBN_Australia constant drop outs. 6 technician appointments. Numerous ‘repairs’ to the node. Yesterday they worked out we were connected to the wrong node, 2km away rather than the one they had been fixing 200 metres away. Thanks, all good now…

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

In australia nbn speeds vary and cost is high. At the moment you can change to a 100mbps plan for only $32 per month For people like me with bad fttn that nbn refuse to upgrade until end of 2023 while they upgrade the street for free means no more @NBN_Australia for me. 5G

@KatePri14608408 A few months ago he was on NBN News saying with mask mandates in shops etc about 80% wear them compared to 5% without mandate. I swear the talking heads all tv stations have on are given the lines the network want them to read to keep their advertisers & government happy

We observed a backhaul outage effecting NBN POI Berkeley Vale, Gosford. We are currently investigating with the backhaul provider. No ETR is available at this stage.

@adriancantrill Their own numbers showed that they were NEVER going to meet the budget figure they ran on for the NBN. It wasn't even close. And the cost for FTTP was only going up as time went on and the quick-wins were completed, not going down. Fortunately there are alternatives now.

@deemadigan @Telstra Sometimes it’s the area you live in. I now hotspot off my phone, I had slow NBN & seemed to do better just using my phone so cut it off. Apparently where I live isn’t great for coverage.

@FOXTEL_Help is @Foxtel down again as it was a week ago. Only some Free To Air channels being received on my IQ5 box via NBN. Have restarted box, issue remains.
