  @ThornburyRocks I turned the ringer off on mine about 10 years ago. Still available in an emergency for calls out*. As long as the nbn is up and running.

  4 years of slow @NBN_Australia constant drop outs. 6 technician appointments. Numerous ‘repairs’ to the node. Yesterday they worked out we were connected to the wrong node, 2km away rather than the one they had been fixing 200 metres away. Thanks, all good now…

  @Fiances_ We’ve improved the state of every property we’ve rented (built gardens, mostly). But yet, rent goes up and up and up. Currently dealing with a $300 bill for installing an NBN fibre box inside which increases internet speed 10 fold, and the landlord is making us relocate it for the amazing low price of $770 (wants it moved 2 metres down the wall it’s on). Ugh

  @deniseshrivell fair point. In the rush for shiny new com tech the way we did it not always the best. NBN now means those of us with land lines cannot call 000 in a power blackout, or net outage. Before NBN we could. that dont make news much either,

  @ajamesbragg If you get the spider out of your pocket, you could hook up Fibre NBN & save sprouting stupid ****. Labor banned CFMEU & instigated an enquiry into corrupt (LNP like activity).

  @basespanker @Batman2242 That was a fttn upgrade with Telco support, but libs called it fraudband due to the minor upgrade so it got scrapped and years later the #nbn was formed to rollout fibre to 93% of premises. LNP got in and decided to do fraudband

  @pigways @Batman2242 What? Fttn was cheap to install but severely limits revenue and has a massive maintenance costs which means it can never make a return on the investment. It's why #nbn convinced LNP to provide additional funding and begin the free upgrade to fttp.

  Our @optus NBN internet/Phone service problem has been fixed. My mother can watch online movies and music videos on youtube. The internet is her only source of entertainment

  @eddit0r @OperationalInc1 Hey wait, if I live in an estate/apartment building that has non-NBN fibre and Telstra don't sell services on it, and I call them to order my USO-guaranteed home phone service and they say no, can I sue them?

  @realRick_AUS Out in rural NSW, the max I could get was 50Mbps. And it took 3 months and a really good tech - (who got silenced) to tell me that they had a broken cable on my run and they needed to rerun the cables for about 50 feet. 7 visits I think I have 3 months with nothing before that! And every time it rained, I lost connection for hours I was the middle of the work day. Aussie Broadband were the only ones who kept me sane - NBN itself was (and is) rubbish, but Aussie was amazing.

  @LambDownUnder @TheLucidyn @Batman2242 If you ignore the $30B and 9 years wasted on the failed LNP version. #nbn will be profitable and provide a nice return once all the MTM mess is removed from the network
