@iiNet hey guys just wondering if there is an wife spread outage in the 3216 area (NBN) haven’t got any internet this morning and last night it was on/off

  • monicasmeow Monicasmeow🐈 (@monicasmeow) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Henjam48 @JaneCaro @TonyAbbottMHR @NBN_Australia They’ve been set up to fail. Like most entities that are answerable to govt. The person responsible for it all is JWH. Had Telstra not been sold in the first place, it would have continued to upgrade its network and we may not have needed an NBN on the scale the ALP envisaged.

  • 75b0ce8567df4cd Dave Wood (@75b0ce8567df4cd) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

And 3 out of 4 premises are now capable of connecting to the NBN! Well that is at your own risk! It's just more bullshit from government and ISP companies to scam more money from anyone stupid enough to opt for this NBN CRAP!

  • cory_actually CORY (@cory_actually) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@Vintuitive Must just be that the NBN is shit 😉🤣

  • KathyReid Kathy Reid, Servant of House Corgi (@KathyReid) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Summary: we almost-delivered an obsolete network not fit for purpose and now we're struggling with finding a way to make it valuable as a private asset and service our debt, and raise capital to rebuild it post-2020 instead of it being made a public utility #NBN #NBN2

  • kirrilyfred Kiz #StayTheFkHome 🦠 (@kirrilyfred) reported from Anglesea, State of Victoria

@ThornburyRocks I turned the ringer off on mine about 10 years ago. Still available in an emergency for calls out*. As long as the nbn is up and running.

  • maxblake44 Max Blake (@maxblake44) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@iiNet hey guys just wondering if there is an wide spread outage in the 3216 area (NBN) haven’t got any internet this morning and last night it was on/off

  • cjnetlink Cory (@cjnetlink) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

Why is @3AW693 targeting @Telstra about the NBN and how it’ll cope with the increased load on the network. There are other providers of the NBN out there. #sheeple listening will take any slow downs or outages as being Telstra’s fault/problem.

  • darrengilmore6 Darren Gilmore 🇦🇺 (@darrengilmore6) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@KayeThetimothy @Telstra I'm having trouble with NBN but hopefully fixed Tuesday...

  • rodneysims Rod Sims 💉💉 (@rodneysims) reported from Geelong, State of Victoria

@PaulFletcherMP Paul, I am thankful that my ISP is maintaining its HFC network so that I don’t have to connect to your NBN.

  • TheRealPembo Michael Pemberton (@TheRealPembo) reported

@kaffando @DaveMilbo Your old device was no just a modem. It was also a router, a switch and an access point. It may have even been an ATA. Would you rather NBN dictate a single device for all those components? Like Telstra being the only mobile network and mandating the use of an iPhone SE.

  • dlgiven Dan Given (@dlgiven) reported

@dysorojo @DaveMilbo Be careful with grace period. Telstra shut my adsl about 15 months into it, no notice, because ‘you need to switch to nbn’. They could never explain why they did it early, or without warning. They reconnected when I found out what happened but it took a week.

  • JoeMcCarthy24 Joe McCarthy (@JoeMcCarthy24) reported

@DaveMilbo I'm in the same situation. Except I'm jealous of the speeds you hit - I never manage to hit those! Think I've got until the end of this year to switch to the NBN, because the suburb only got hooked up a few months back. Gonna wait it out & see if 5G wireless coverage improves.

  • joneaves Jon Eaves (@joneaves) reported

@blindidiotgod @DaveMilbo @the_tezt Same here. 100-120Mbps down, 5-10 up. I'm not switching to NBN until they pry this from my cold dead hands. It's incredibly reliable and I'm terrified of the NBN based on what my mates are getting. Slower speeds, delays, outages.

  • JasonDetermina1 Jason Determination Hooper (@JasonDetermina1) reported

If you haven't booked up to a NBN provider yet Telstra have a hidden NBN Co Subsequent Installation Charge $297.00 and a Service Installation - Technician Visit $240 Total Due $630.25

  • Lesley63Meadows lesley meadows (@Lesley63Meadows) reported

@EmergencyBK If your wifi problem is with Telstra/nbn, contact them here on Twitter. I did the other day after trying for ages to get through on phone and they got it fixed in no time.

  • fount8 michael (@fount8) reported

    @Poupon123 @DaveMilbo NBN is a federal service

  • GotAbMo Shanan (@GotAbMo) reported

Wtf is the NBN “new development fee”? Seems like an infrastructure cost being passed onto tenants...

  • adapt20301 Scientists not Bloggers 🌏 🏳️‍🌈 (@adapt20301) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@DaveMilbo Our apartment tower has 2 independent providers that we can get up to 300mbs up & down. Late last year we all had fliers in our mailboxes advertising excitedly that NBN had come to our building! Needless to say the communal bin was full of those fliers...

  • jdsouter TheMunt (@jdsouter) reported

@DaveMilbo Yeah. I had 50 meg fibre before I moved here 9 years ago. To 2meg. nbn is decent if you’re near the box. I got fttc and besides a **** up and not having internet for a weekend when it was initially installed it’s been flawless.
