Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Blaxland and nearby locations:

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@joshh_dp Yup. Has been perfect for years. Suddenly it’s bad only in the peak but I have to wait for an NBN technician to look at the NTD 🙄

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

iiNet support wasn’t interested in the fact they had iiNet NBN 50 and suddenly they had Vodafone NBN 100 running at their house. Just say it’s impossible.

  • MF_Louqa Luke (@MF_Louqa) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Radxiation nbn is down playing on 4 g haha

  • MayorDarcy Darcy Byrne (@MayorDarcy) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Martin_Bonobo It’s Telstra’s building. They are using the rest of it for NBN roll out and say they will let us knock it down after that.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@0dayssincemeltd In contract so just waiting for them to acknowledge it’s broken so I can leave with no fee. Complaint in with Telstra and now the TIO. All Telstra are doing is sending an NBN tech to look at my NTD

  • skylxrksays SKYLXRK (@skylxrksays) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Another day another NBN outage... and right as I got home. Pleeeease don’t let this turn into an ongoing saga like it was with Optus HFC 🙃

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@CameronWatt They had a data feed issue last night. My POI is good for Aussie BB but I might give Vodafone NBN a go. Get a bundle discount and $69/m for 100/40 for first 6 months. Plus the 4G backup

  • paloappie Chelsea Feltham (@paloappie) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

After two weeks of no internet with @Optus due to “back end issues” with my relocation, I was told it could be a further 21 days to get connected. I cancelled my service. 30 mins after submitting the form on the @Aussie_BB website, my NBN was connected. Customer service folks!

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra The first tech support person last week said the congestion would be fixed within 24hours. 4 days later the internet is barely useable during peak times. There’s clearly inadequate CVC or an issue on your network and waiting for an NBN tech before doing anything is waste of time

  • Ronki Ron Curry (@Ronki) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Automated answer and on hold. Just called back on another phone and answered straight away. Go figure (but problem not fixed). I had such a great internet experience before being moved to NBN!

  • scott_thewspot Scott (@scott_thewspot) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

ADSL service cancellation has been requested. I'm now all-in on the #nbn

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra Last night I could barley load my online uni course when speeds got down to 4Mbps. In fact it will probably be faster if i disconnect the NBN and use the 4G backup of an evening.

  • Giulzjrc Julia Cohen (@Giulzjrc) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra my house does not yet have nbn. Until this week good cable. You’ve been doing work in @hornsby to prep for nbn. Now every night no service post 8pm. Other times constant dropouts. #nbn #nbnisajoke #telstra #hornsby #idontwantnbn @wendy_harmer @

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra It’s FTTP. The Gen 2 modem has been rebooted. The tests have been run. All that’s happened is an NBN tech has been booked who is going to look at the NTD and say it’s fine. Fibre doesn’t develop an issue for certain hours of the day.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Telstra No reference numbers but I have now made a complaint. There’s clearly something wrong with your network but tech support just want to blame my network or the NBN and want to waste time getting and NBN tech to look at a Fibre NTD that works fine except for peak hour.

  • meggsie79 MEGAN SAMUEL (@meggsie79) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@CynicalAU @Optus @TPG_Telecom Don’t do it @TPG_Telecom are terrible. At present we haven’t had email access for almost 3 days and they seem in no rush to rectify the issue. Also my NBN installation was an experience I’d prefer to forget. 15 missed appointments and sub-standard speeds

  • superman2144 2144Superman (@superman2144) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@Optus @networkoutage why is my nbn not working at Cumberland Rd, Auburn 2144 ...

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@AUSFestivus @Telstra I had to take my mobile to Vodafone a few weeks ago because of Telstra congestion issues in the CBD. I’m trying to give them a chance here because the NBN with them has been great with no peak congestion for 3 years until last week. But Vodafone NBN is looking good right now.

  • IainBrewSydney Iain Brew (@IainBrewSydney) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@fictillius The way around it is to put a small switch between the NBN Modem and the ISP router. Use their router purely for voice and a second router of your choice for data. It seems 2x devices can sign in with same credentials so will be testing that out.

  • fictillius Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Also before they moved out their home internet had suddenly moved to Vodafone NBN but their iiNet account still showed usage up until the people at the new house turned off the modem. Sounds like a churn was done but iiNet support claims that is impossible

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Benny_Mitch Benny Mitchell (@Benny_Mitch) reported

@iiNet my internet just keeps dropping out every 10min, rebooted the modem and NBN says everything is fine and so does your website but it’s not fine, can you help?

  • DoNotConform1 💧Steph 🐀 (@DoNotConform1) reported

@NBN_Australia Bonnet Bay has been having major internet issues for all of Aug. @iiNet keep blaming NBN but at the same time can’t / won’t tell us what the issue is and when it will be fixed. Is NBN actually trying to fix it? What is wrong in the first place?

  • a30aew A30AEW&C (@a30aew) reported

@DarrylMason @carolduncan @NBN_Australia It's not surprising why it happens. It's a system vulnerability the NBN Corp were never authorised/paid to remediate. Here in Melb now (have FTTC - fibre runs along the street), FTTP is available if you want to pay for the u/g. Easy from an FTTC baseline

  • lol_cat1 Sir George of Melbourne (@lol_cat1) reported

@NBN_Australia I have just sent via DM please help

  • RChandyoke Mystic (@RChandyoke) reported

@iliasofjohn This crap is going to end up like Tornball's NBN. Too slow . Too late. Born obsolete

  • steveathon Steve (@steveathon) reported

@liubinskas These days there's little difference in retailers accessing the same wholesale network (ie nbn)

  • StathHawk Peter Stathopoulos (@StathHawk) reported

@Vergops @Telstra Don’t worry Dennis, extremely disappointing at our family home too. We have had the same phone numb since 1966 and they can’t understand why we don’t want it changed since the NBN was added. Then they cut the service for several weeks. We don’t need a new#, give back the original

  • Glenn02936110 coolhandluke (@Glenn02936110) reported

Bastard at the Apple store deleted all the settings on my phone unnecessarily to fix a minor problem then walked away. I’ve had to re login to everything and was on mobile data for 3 days before I realized he logged me out of my NBN provider as well.

  • max_au Max (@max_au) reported

@drunkenmadman i switched to @superloopnet from aussie BB, generally better speeds and significantly better support when NBN screw something up

  • mrpkd Paul Dolan (@mrpkd) reported

@drunkenmadman Just got the same message! Didn't realise I was getting something for "free"- I've heard with Vodafone they have a secret free PS5 deal if you ask, and move your mobile too, not sure I trust their mobile network, NBN is NBN though? I've never heard a bad word against Aussie BB
