Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Blaxland and nearby locations:

  • trevorlong Trevor Long (@trevorlong) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@brett_gibson @seamus @charlietech @wendy_harmer @robbie_buck @abcsydney Spot on, most people get the shits when they go from cable at 112Mbps to NBN at 94Mbps real world, THEY WOULD NEVER EVER NOTICE!

  • Cal_O_Rynn Cal 🌻 🌸🍄 (@Cal_O_Rynn) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@DarrenKilminst1 Before this issue where we have been fighting since August, escalated in November, then hit the fan in January, I didn't have much of an issue either. But trying to run a medium sized business with one phone line & voicemail has been a nightmare! Telstra + NBN = 🤯

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Still no #NBN Been down all morning. Just using my limited capacity on my phone. What a crock of shit this network is. And you want people to work from home,......

  • Two_Of_Us_x Ali 🌻 (@Two_Of_Us_x) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Soo my @Optus NBN is still not fixed. Everytime I call the help line they tell me the same things over and over. I’ve had to cancel appointments to wait for the technicians they supposedly booked. But none show. I’m so over this bullshit. It shouldn’t take a week to fix!!

  • fictillius Quiet, Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@MiddleMoney @NewtonMark @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia NBN could just fix all this butthurt by removing CVC charges and having a single flat AVC or maybe one additional cheap AVC for oldies that just want a landline. Then you get whatever the line can do

  • fictillius Quiet, Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@MiddleMoney @NewtonMark @TurnbullMalcolm @NBN_Australia It’s the business model that’s been the problem from the day Conroy came up with it. What’s telling is only half the premises ready for service have actually ordered one because it’s so damn expensive and now has a bad reputation.

  • steveathon Steve King (@steveathon) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@warkolm @kvgoldsmith @NBN_Australia Honestly I use my nbn satellite service as a backup - not as my primary. I get better (still painfully slow) speed on my 3G antenna setup. I am one of the lucky ones.

  • fictillius 🦠 Evan (@fictillius) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

A colleague is having WFH issues. Got a speed test done. It’s ASDL 14/0.8. Got them to call their ISP (iiNet) to upgrade to HFC NBN which is ready for service. iiNet told them it would not increase their internet speeds 🤦🏻

  • carlonizeti Carlo Nizeti (@carlonizeti) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@hamishk79 @NBN_Australia @Telstra Yeah started to sniff around, people rave about @Aussie_BB so they might be a go! I’m also going to move some of my other Telstra services to other carriers, I spend so much money with them yet receive a less than premium service!

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

After a 15 hour #NBN Outage it comes back.

  • AndrewColley Andrew Colley (@AndrewColley) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Last night @Ausgrid moved power on my st u'gnd. Partial outage was expected. #hfc cut out eventho I still had power. @Telstra assured me that it needed @NBN_Australia tech visit; wld take days. Telstra calls 2day & says it was a "scheduled" NBN outage & the network shld be up🤔🤔

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Yay the internet returns after a 13hour outage. I bet it was switched off at the exchange to re route capacity. #NBN.

  • simonpallister Simon Pallister (@simonpallister) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

27 hours into an @NBN_Australia / @iiNet outage, still no word on when it will be fixed. Complete lack of info from both parties

  • hitinman Just Davo (@hitinman) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

Spruiking by #NBN Of capacity. It is hopeless under pressure. As for uploading too slow. Gov fault at this.

  • ShutUp_AJ Binge Thinker, the BCB (@ShutUp_AJ) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

    - Make the nbn free to all - Pressure mobile phone providers to not charge - legislate ban on evictions til this is over - leave for casuals - power and water bills to be capped - Stimulus payouts to all by taxable income ala 2008 Get ******** into it

  • the_jongleur Michael Mulhern (@the_jongleur) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@MickMakes I suppose it’s because I’m 35km, or so, from the Sydney CBD. @NBN just too lazy/cheap to even run in a 2nd rate solution like FTN. SkyMuster is a joke. You’d think that for an area that is a mobile black spot, that the NBN planners would at least get their “solution” right!

  • carlonizeti Carlo Nizeti (@carlonizeti) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@NBN_Australia I had a chat with @Telstra , they blamed NBN for all the issues and didn’t help much. Their view is NBN can’t perform as well as a 20 year old HFC network. I know it’s marketing BS, others have Telstra 80 mbit NBN in my area with no issues.

  • Two_Of_Us_x Ali 🌻 (@Two_Of_Us_x) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@kiwihestyles No, just my NBN and they won’t send a technician out to fix it. 😊😡

  • manaz_d Robert Hudson (@manaz_d) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@davidcrisp666 @NewtonMark @NBN_Australia Optus didn't give a shit once they realised they were being paid by NBN for it. NBN stopped caring once they realised the POS the Optus network that they'd bought was. The surprise when they "found out" about the state of the Optus network was laughable.

  • berniecoen Bernie Coen (@berniecoen) reported from Sydney, State of New South Wales

@bengrubb Ben I ditched NBN to hot-spot fron my phone and boom! Not a problem steaming Netflix etc. I and to avoid massive download I lowered the settings mode. Unless u have a 4K and it's in 4k u don't need the highest streaming. Pic looked exactly the same

@MifWhy @jonkudelka Do you have the NBN down there yet, or is it still dial up?

  • drew_keenan Drew Keenan (@drew_keenan) reported

@NBN_Australia "Our" NBN system is incredibly dysfunctional and broken. How did we create a system devoid of accountability and which puts the end-customer last?

  • NBN_Australia nbn™ Australia (@NBN_Australia) reported

@DebraBondDesign Hey Debra! Sorry to hear this. We know how frustrating appointment cancellations can be. All appointments are booked and managed by your provider and their internal nbn support team. 1/2

  • OneBlueUmbrella Blue (18+ only) (@OneBlueUmbrella) reported

Hey @Optus I’ve spent far too long trying to cancel my NBN installation appointment and I STILL keep getting notifications that someone will be here tomorrow. I. WON’T. BE. HOME. You’d better not charge me for this appointment which I NO LONGER WANT OR NEED.

  • cathybraypoet The Tangent Queen (@cathybraypoet) reported

@Optus my nbn Optus wifi has been down all morning in birchgrove 2041

  • michelwo michelle (@michelwo) reported

@NBN_Australia What’s happening in Balmain 2041. ?There is an outage no internet. How long until it will be fixed?

  • harleighv Harleigh Venables (@harleighv) reported

@telstra I have spent 30 hours in a loop with chat support who have done nothing to rectify an issue with my NBN. I need a replacement box due to lightning strike frying it. Simple stuff. Instead, support has done nothing but go round in circles. Help!! I’m at my wits end.

  • trampanya SPNIMPALAGIRL - #SPNFamily - #VicsDoItBetter (@trampanya) reported

3/3 My new provider has already couriered my NEW & FREE (Foxtel wanted $149 for the shittiest) modem to me and the NBN tech will be here 27 Jan. Home phone & all energy is now with them and my monthly costs will go down quite a bit, once I've paid all the up front bills.

  • drew_keenan Drew Keenan (@drew_keenan) reported

@NBN_Australia It is too much to expect some degree of proactive network monitoring and troubleshooting rather than relying on customers to report issues via their providers?
