  • alwriting Alan J Wright (@alwriting) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

It's not just gamers clogging up the NBN. We're all to blame really. By using the NBN, we are obviously ruining a brilliant system and preventing it from reaching its true potential. I can see that now. I feel awful...

  • millionsofmyles Myles Harris (@millionsofmyles) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • Shuttlecock Brad Stephenson☕️ (@Shuttlecock) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@AboutIndia My apartment building can't get the NBN even though our street has it. Cancelled the wired internet service a few months back because it was so slow and switched to Optus 5G broadband. Literally 2 blocks from 2 different 5G towers but modem just disconnects.

  • ScottAndNadia Scott and Nadia (@ScottAndNadia) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra we have been trying all day to talk to someone about connecting the nbn cable that is taped to the power pole at the front of house 🏡 to our actual house? I would suggest you overseas call centre needs training we have 4 hang ups and 3 x call the number we can’t help??

  • glensarsero Glen (@glensarsero) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hey @Optus I’m getting daily dropouts with HFC NBN. The support team have been unhelpful. Concierge service is useless. I keep asking them to log a request with NBN but they keep giving excuses. On the one occasion a ticket was logged, they closed ticket immediately.

  • daveando Dave Anderson (@daveando) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Telstra My NBN is with iinet but I was instructed to contact Telstra because it’s Telstra infrastructure. If I’m mistaken please let me know. I’m chatting to support right now and it seems we are getting close on getting some sort of answer :)

  • smoldemi Michael Smolders (@smoldemi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hi @Telstra my nbn connection dies temporarily again, and still my "smart" modem doesn't kick over to 4G as promised. Why does this keep happening? Remote service repair from last time still didn't fix it.

  • glensarsero Glen (@glensarsero) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Hi @NBN_Australia I’ve had 9 dropouts in 2hrs. My provider says they change things but still the same issues daily. Need this sorted. I’ve changed providers recently and the issue still persists. Can you help?

  • SharpxxPlays SharpxxPlays (@SharpxxPlays) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

  • plunger007 PlungerVax (@plunger007) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Any suggestions for NBN provider in inner nth Melbourne? @Optus 5G is fast ... when it works. Which is less and less. I've wasted dozens of hours & $$$ on this **** service which was dodgy from beginning. Think the Nokia modem is the problem. But support is almost non existent

  • Sheeds_au Sheeds (@Sheeds_au) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

Power is out. Wild weather in Melbourne. Happy I could get to my NAS for a proper shut-down on backup UPS power to save myself a 3 day volume rebuild/consistency check! Dream machine is still running but the NBN fibre connection box does not have a UPS backup on it...

  • nick_komo Nick (@nick_komo) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@jiggyjet1 Off and on but on now. Lately down alot i suspect NBN installations in area. But should be compensated and better warnings

  • stirlospace 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚛𝚕𝚘.𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚌𝚎 @𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜.𝗰𝗼𝗺 (@stirlospace) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@LDenshire @DrKathleen1 This x10000; I’ve heard about 1 good story out of about 50-100 bad ones ;/ it seems similar to the NBN but is far more life / health threatening

  • SumiWumi Sumi (@SumiWumi) reported from Melbourne, State of Victoria

@Optus your NBN in Toorak Vic is horrible! I have had to reset the modem atleast 10 times - dial up in third world countries gives better network! And conveniently Sunday there is no help

NBN Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • SEdwards0108 Scott Edwards 💉 (@SEdwards0108) reported

Hi @Telstra We're having some issues trying to set up an NBN service via the website. On two occasions the conversation with Telstra reps has dropped out. Once on the house modem and second time on a mobile hotspot connection. Any issues on your end?

  • HarkinsKeith Keith Harkins (@HarkinsKeith) reported

@PaulFletcherMP A 3rd world nbn. Are you really that stupid…. Apparently yes

  • Hititonthefull1 Hit it on the full (@Hititonthefull1) reported

@DoodyDarren @Melstar71 @AlboMP Well, wireless, yes, if you have stuff in the way that’s moving about. FTTN reliability is driven by the copier connection to your house, if it’s unreliable, you whinge until they fix it. I estimate repair of my own line cost the NBN around $10K, but they did it.

  • nonsense_lucid Lucid Nonsense (@nonsense_lucid) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Because the Nats couldn’t work out why people would want to receive an e-mail faster the NBN is rubbish. No vision for the future, no idea where the world of work and play is going, blind, stupid backward idiots! And we are all paying the price.

  • Emperors_Tailor The Emperor’s Old Tailor (@Emperors_Tailor) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Seems you're counting the whole "create a completely new network from scratch" preparation period as time when the government should have already been connecting premises. Do you really think we're all THAT stupid...? #NBN

  • woodpecker_live woodpecker@live (@woodpecker_live) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Your NBN is ****, I had a much better speed and connection on Coaxial before you butchered it

  • psaggo Psaggo (@psaggo) reported

@PaulFletcherMP Labor started NBN from scratch. Had to hire staff, find premises, etc. They did very well to actually start rollout by end of their term. LNP's contribution, as usual, was to slow the rollout and degrade the service. You wouldn't dare spout this crap if there were journalists.

  • ulearnit uLearnIT FileMaker Training (@ulearnit) reported

@AlboMP @sunriseon7 What is wrong with the NBN that you are going to fix? I have experienced fast NBN in both Sydney and Sunshine Coast. Where are the problems you are talking about? What needs to be done? Details please. I watched the full interview and only 55 seconds out of 5:54 was on the NBN.

  • TassieTrainNerd TassieTrainNerd (@TassieTrainNerd) reported

@jmil400 @TonyHWindsor I'm unfortunate enough to only have FTTN. Most unreliable piece of crap. Bandwidth is terrible, and Australia Post is faster than the speed of our NBN. Coalition was shortsighted and penny-pinching and now we all suffer the consequences. Total waste

  • Bazwalt Andrew Oskam💧🚀 (@Bazwalt) reported

@AlboMP Hi Anthony, regarding your NBN announcement - can you please move to have NBN detach itself from delivery partners and hire their own teams. As an employee of an RSP - the delivery partner scheme is an absolute disaster. The techs are terrible.
