@QuentinDempster Good to see you're finally admitting that the NBN was a badly thought out brain fart from day one. And the Gumbyment needed someone like Elon to demonstrate to them the proper way to provide such a service over vast distqances. Good to know.

@the_vocal_one @CovfefeDnUnder You’re missing the point. Wired networks pre NBN worked just fine, and still do. Every new NBN suburban / bush connection loses money. Every new Starlink customer is profitable, so it can strip away customers and NBN will slowly die. PS : I’ve been on 5G for years : 4x speed

@GregNordo @AllBiteNoBark88 I just had another go with Optus. Literally no internet during peak hrs. Their NBN is unbelievably bad, even my business plan was dropping out 20 times a day. Aldi it is.....

@RobERussell1 @FranMooMoo Yes it is. I did some checking&at the moment I'm better off staying with the NBN network. I have told this to Elon many times, but I never get an answer. Same goes for his paid premium subscription to X. It sounds reasonable in American dollars, but that explodes in our currency.

@QuentinDempster NBN sucks. Australia has third world internet. Starlink rocks. Loser.

@strangerous10 We already own the NBN, so why can't emergency services be run directly by the NBN?

  • NaanVi0lence
    Naan-violence (@NaanVi0lence) reported

@murrayf1960 @Ryandally08 That's like asking how many NBN installations were done after only 100 were complete, and then claiming "Ah it's never getting done ever! 44 billion for 100 connections is ridiculous!!" Oh wait, the Libs already did that and cost us billions more with their stupid hybrid NBN. 🤦🏻

@Carlsie555 Depends if it is a provider or NBN hardware issue. We’ve found Aussie Broadband to be good to deal with and reliable. I can’t remember who the kids are with. I’d have to check.

@7NewsSydney @grok can you explain how a traditional landline can still call with no power, even though each telephony service is handed off from an NBN NTU, or DSLAM?

  • jscmurdo
    John Murdoch (@jscmurdo) reported

@ausnuc_ian It was a Press release waiting for a business case that never eventuated. That's how the LNP operated. Don't get me started on the NBN catostrophe. Another example of the great economic managers.
