@Telstra Are you having server issues in Brisbane today? I can’t use chat via My Telstra app to discuss problem connecting to the internet. Mobile signal is red on the back of the NBN modem, can’t get Apps to work on TV or Foxtel. Have been waiting on hold on 132200 now for 25min

@MrStark_OG @growing_daniel Ground fiber speed is usually quite a bit lower than that, usually HW limited to 1gbit. Also most of computers do not even have an 2.5 Gbit or better Ethernet port to achieve such speed speed either. And ****** Australian NBN fiber is up to 250 mbit down, 20 mbit up for the most expensive tier.

@Tank9999 @AustralianLabor The LNP party room hated the idea of the #NBN because it would hurt Telstra and show that selling it off as a single entity was stupid. And they had to try and protect foxtel from the streaming platforms. Turnbull invested his own money into fttp rollouts in Europe.

@CC68891975 Jeebus CC 🙄 What was the fix recently? Did they explain the cause? Is it an issue with the connectivity to your home? Do you know if you have full fibre to the premises? fibre to the node? Fibre to the curb or Hybrid Fibre coaxial? Are they using NBN? Other?

@Tank9999 @AustralianLabor NBN = No Bloody Network! MTM = Malcolm Turnbull's Mess! Just one of his shocking catastrophes and it's concomitant aftermath. Whatever you do, don't mention that other catastrophe, Snow Hydro II.

@bobjcarr In Australia, the federal government owns 100% of the company that operates the physical broadband network (nbn). The gov has granted its company a monopoly to protect it from competition. Bob Carr’s party created that company and its monopoly.

I don't understand how @Telstra can so consistently screw up. FTTN to FTTP. New Telstra box randomly disconnects, and DHCP server doesn't allow IP address of local DNS server. Just got a new bill, separate from existing account, for new NBN service in addition to existing bill.
