@MichaelM_ACT @TurnbullMalcolm I thought about @TurnbullMalcolm today when trying work through FTTN issues with TPG and NBN. Turns out TP link VDSL modems supplied to Australia can heat up something fierce doing 50mbps and require replacement around every 2 years.

Moved recently, signed up with a different telco to the last one, fine. Move in and realised that there’s no HFC/nbn connection box. Raise issue with telco. Telco sets appointment with nbn for the 10th of May (20+ days after move in). Sure, fine, not ideal but whatever

Tradesmen are struggling with job expenses and dollars they make.. so little. NBN was 50 billion dollars project, most of the money had been taken by CEO and management so they needed to step down first or sacking is the best option.

@Asher_Wolf That's why Matt Damon had to do his NBC Today live cross from the TAB in the pub in Byron because it was the only place with a decent enough internet connection. Yay for Australia! Crap NBN to go with a crap government!
