John Harrison 🇦🇺 🦘 (@JH_Otway_Ranges) reported@TopherField I'm in regional Victoria and there's NBN fixed wireless, someone has to come to your home, drill holes and install cables and a antenna on the roof that's if you are in line of sight of the tower, it is slow, people around me have just got Starlink instead, it's a game changer

I have decided to keep my NBN service instead, so I would like to cancel my Starlink service and return the kit. Please let me know the return process. Thank you.

Paul Galea (@VK4PWG) reported@TopherField I tried for 6 months to get my faulty NBN fixed (FTTN - copper/xdsl for the last 0.9km). NBN blamed the retailer who blamed NBN. I gave up and put in Starlink and have never looked back (4 years ago). NBN dug up the street 2 years ago to install fibre to the premises - I have a pit at the boundary of my property. My property is marked as 'NBN Ready'. Problem is that they never actaully pulled any fibre in the street !! The NBN is a huge scam.

cockitythegalah (@jlmcmlxvii) reported@p_terg IT ordeal 😵💫 They got the NBN on today. Box nowhere near the computer and computer doesn’t have a wifi adapter. So I did the dash down the road and got them a 10m Ethernet cable and away they go.

durackpl (@durackpl) reported@ChrisEconomist 2/2 The true scale of the off-budget disaster will only be clear when someone aggregates the retained losses across all these investments, as companies do in their financial statements. I've never seen this done, but if the NBN is any guide, the total would be staggering.

Solaris (@AussieSolaris) reported@GearlessRoe I need internet, I'll go nuts without it. Heh. I miss gaming, waste of time as it was. I need some connection to the outside world, as much as I like/need my solitude. There is one section in this place where I get signal good enough to stream/use the internet well enough. Everywhere else is essentially dead. Miss being able to use the phone in bed, have to hotspot it & put it in one specific spot & use the PC now. See what happens/what I do these coming weeks. If I don't leave here/get kicked out for breaching them, and I can get more dollars in, Starlink will be the way. In theory. Shame though, $85 a month for only 100gb is an oof. My NBN plan with unlimited data at the last place was only $70 a month. Without further dollars/income, cannot afford. Will have to sort something soon. My entire situation right now is *not* sustainable.

Peter Harvey (@eklektos) reported@NBN_Australia You had techs working near my address and I now have no NBN connection. Call has been logged with my ISP but to disconnect a connection like this shows poor workmanship in your technicians. This is unacceptable.

NEVER again!
