It is grand final day for that very failed ex labor fool Pommie Stephen Conroy. At his presser he is lying his arse off. It is time @SkyNewsAust must dump this labor liar Conroy. Remember when he was the minister for the NBN his budget was $8.4 billion and a build time of 8 years Pommie Conroy is just another labor fail Enough @SkyNewsAust We do pay subscriptions to you Show us some respect!

@BeauGiles You typically use the mobile network as the backup to a wired connection. E.g. at our business the NBN was so unreliable we installed a 4g failover modem, but you need to know they exist & how to configure them. Most people don't have that level of IT know-how.

@pigways @Batman2242 NBN satellites have been in service since 2013 that provided a significantly improved service for remote and regional areas. Starlink only arrived in the last few years. Perhaps Amazon was able to meet the design and contract requirements set by #nbn and starlink couldn't.

@BrowntownBrew @Batman2242 NBN Sats crowded out all private investment. Even it's rollout was ill considered, eg shutting down the interim satellite during the wet season 😳 Specifically what NBN requirements can't be met by starlink ? 🤔 Starlink has ~250k residential subs, 350k total. NBN 300k total.

@oscarcsims also very confusing policy/reg space. govt essentially renationalised Telstra infrastructure in leasing a bunch of its assets to the NBN. yet Telstra still runs emergency services, payphones, landlines - not NBN. minimal economic incentives, maximal telco corporate welfare

@HilzFuld @NefeshBNefesh I am a master electrician with open Aliyah application but cannot find job. The paperwork NBN referenced is outdated about ten years! HELP!

@KymRob25112 compared to NBN setup, book installer, wait two weeks, installer fails to show, rebook, wait another two weeks, installer shows up, signal has to be bounced of barn roof, then wait another 4 weeks for NBN co to process it. so two months for nbn vs two hours for starlink.

Who else is experiencing **** internet speeds after 7pm? By 10 pm it's almost impossible to get pages to load up and and have a smooth social media experience. Bloody diabolical. I'm on the verge of ditching the NBN and going Starlink. 😠😠

No wifi today, we've had some electrical problems, mainly to do with the washing machine. That just means a relaxing Sunday of playing them games (now that the electricity is on). (NBN always takes a long time to recover.)
