@kangaroos991 @JudiSparre True. In the 80s there was mythology around saving money but Telstra’s sale = neglected infrastructure, poor NBN substitute, profits to shareholders. Prior to that, the profits went to govt. Only one example of a poor choice.

@DarrylMason @carolduncan @NBN_Australia It's not surprising why it happens. It's a system vulnerability the NBN Corp were never authorised/paid to remediate. Here in Melb now (have FTTC - fibre runs along the street), FTTP is available if you want to pay for the u/g. Easy from an FTTC baseline

@JEChalmers @AlboMP @AustralianLabor Kill off the tax cuts for the rich and fund education/tafe/university/apprenticeships properly. Oh, and also fix the NBN that the LNP destroyed- FTTN so online businesses can compete.

When the #SCAM caller purporting to be from @NBN_Australia says my internet's comprimised, i say SHUT THE NBN DOWN THEN, STEVE! IT'S A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY! He asks me "Are you out of your ******* mind?" I don't think he was representing @NBN_Australia - just a guess.

@joshgnosis @BelindaJones68 The good old days! Armidale is the first region in mainland Australia to be switched to the nbn™ network, with the final legacy disconnection occurring at the end of January 2016. Work in the city began in 2010 with migration to the nbn™ occurring progressively since May 2014.

My NBN is down again today. And it happens all the time. And even when it is working it is slow and expensive. This whole NBN thing has been really disappointing. 🤬

  • passtit Derek White (@passtit) reported

@NBN_Australia When can we expect something better than the ~1km of copper via several junction boxes to our home in Mittagong NSW? There is no way we can achieve anything close to 25down/5up on a consistent basis with this legacy crapola, let alone real world 2022 speeds. Help!

  • GeorgeKalinows1 George Kalinowski (@GeorgeKalinows1) reported

@ShiannonC @rogerwilkinson3 Licking Murderous Murdochs Arse by the LNP is why we had crap NBN.

  • DarrylMason Darryl Mason (@DarrylMason) reported

@NBN_Australia @carolduncan The alleged "service provider" has been aware of this default switch-off for years, from 1000s of customers, and nothing has changed. It will happen again and all requests for a fix will be ignored. We've been told the problem can't be fixed without replacing the copper wire.
